2 Corinthians 6

1 Working together, we entreat also that you not receive the grace of God in vain,

A kakor pomagalci opominjamo vas, da bi ne bili zastonj milosti Božje prejeli;

2 for he says, "At an acceptable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I helped you." Look, now is the "acceptable time." Look, now is the "day of salvation."

(Kajti pravi: "Prigoden čas sem te uslišal in na dan zveličanja pomogel sem ti". Lej, sedaj je čas dobro prigoden, lej, sedaj je dan zveličanja.)

3 We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,

Nikomur v ničemer ne dajemo spotike, da se ne pograja služba;

4 but in everything commending ourselves, as servants of God, in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,

Nego v vsem izkazujemo se kakor Božje služabnike v potrpljenji mnogem, v stiskah, v potrebah, v težavah;

5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;

V udarcih, v ječah, v puntih, v trudih, v nespavanji, v postu;

6 in pureness, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Ruach ha-Kodesh, in sincere love,

V čistoti, v znanji, v prizanesljivosti, v dobrotljivosti, v duhu svetem, v nehinavskej ljubezni;

7 in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

V besedi resnice, v moči Božjej, z orožjem pravice na desno in levo;

8 by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

S slavo in nečastjo, s slabimi in dobrimi glasi, kakor potepuhi in resnični;

9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and look, we live; as punished, and not killed;

Kakor neznani in znani; kakor umirajoči in lej, živimo; kakor kaznjeni in ne umorjeni;

10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Kakor žalosteči se, a vedno se veseleči; kakor siromaki, a mnoge bogateči; kakor ničesar ne imajoči in vse imajoči.

11 Our mouth is open to you, Corinthians. Our heart is enlarged.

Naša usta so odprta k vam, Korinčani, srce naše je razširjeno.

12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.

Vam ni tesno mesto v nas, ali vam je tesno v srcih vaših.

13 Now in return, I speak as to my children, you also be open wide.

A da nam isto to povrnete, (kakor otrokom govorim), razširite se tudi vi.

14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Ne vprezajte se vkup z neverniki; kajti kakošno vdeležbo ima pravica z nepostavnostjo? a kakošno občinstvo svetlost s tmo?

15 What agreement has Messiah with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?

Pa kakošno je vjemanje Kristusa z Belijalom? ali kakošen del ima vernik z nevernikom?

16 What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For we are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people."

A kakošna je zložnost tempeljna Božjega z maliki? kajti vi ste tempelj Boga živega, kakor je rekel Bog: "Prebival bom v njih in med njimi bom hodil, in bom njih Bog, in oni bodo moje ljudstvo."

17 Therefore, "'Go out from their midst, and be separate,' says the Lord, 'and touch no unclean thing,' and I will receive you.

Za to: "Izidite iz sredi njih in odločite se, govori Gospod," "in nečistega se ne dotikujte; in jaz vas bom sprejel,

18 "And I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters," says the Lord Almighty.

In bom vam oče in vi boste meni sinovi in hčere," pravi Gospod vsemogoči.
