Joshua 18
1 The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.
૧પછી શીલોહમાં સમગ્ર ઇઝરાયલ લોકો ભેગા મળ્યા ને ત્યાં તેઓએ મુલાકાતમંડપ ઊભો કર્યો. અને તેઓએ આખો દેશ જીત્યો.
2 Seven tribes remained among the children of Israel, which had not yet divided their inheritance.
૨ઇઝરાયલ લોકોમાં હજી વારસો પામ્યા વગરનાં સાત કુળો હતાં.
3 Joshua said to the children of Israel, "How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?
૩યહોશુઆએ ઇઝરાયલના લોકોને કહ્યું, “જે દેશ તમારા પિતૃઓના પ્રભુ, યહોવાહે તમને આપ્યો છે તેનો કબજો લેવા જવાને તમે ક્યાં સુધી ઢીલ કરશો?”
4 Appoint for you three men of each tribe. I will send them, and they shall arise, walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come to me.
૪તમારા પોતાના માટે દરેક કુળમાંથી ત્રણ પુરુષોને નિમણુંક કરો અને હું તેઓને બહાર મોકલીશ. તેઓ જઈને દેશના રહેવાસીઓની માહિતી મેળવશે. તેમના વારસાનો વિગતવાર અહેવાલ તૈયાર કરે પછી તેઓ મારી પાસે આવે.
5 They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.
૫તેઓ તેના સાત વિભાગ કરે. યહૂદા દક્ષિણમાં પોતાના પ્રદેશની અંદર રહે, યૂસફના પુત્રો ઉત્તરમાં પોતાના પ્રદેશની અંદર રહેવાનું ચાલુ રાખે.
6 You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.
૬તમે સાત ભાગોનું વર્ણન કરો અને તે કરેલું વર્ણન અહીં મારી પાસે લાવો. પછી આપણા પ્રભુ યહોવાહની આગળ હું અહીં તમારે સારુ ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખીને ભાગ પાડી આપીશ.
7 For the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them."
૭લેવીઓને તમારી મધ્યે ભાગ મળવાનો નથી, કેમ કે યહોવાહનું યાજકપદ એ જ તેઓનો વારસો છે. યર્દનની પાર ગાદ, રુબેન તથા મનાશ્શાના અર્ધકુળને મૂસાએ વારસો આપેલો છે; તે તેઓએ પ્રાપ્ત કર્યો છે.”
8 The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, "Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh."
૮પછી તે માણસો ઊઠીને ગયા. જેઓ દેશનું વર્ણન કરવાને જતા હતા તેઓને યહોશુઆએ એવી આજ્ઞા આપી હતી કે, “જઈને દેશમાં સર્વત્ર ફરીને તેનું વર્ણન કરો અને મારી પાસે પાછા આવો. પછી શીલોહમાં હું યહોવાહની આગળ તમારે સારુ ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખીને ભાગ પાડીશ.”
9 The men went and passed through the land, and surveyed it by cities into seven portions on a scroll. They came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.
૯તે માણસો જઈને દેશમાં બધી જગ્યાએ ફરીને નગરો પ્રમાણે સાત ભાગે યાદીમાં તેઓનું વર્ણન કર્યું, દરેક ભાગ પાડીને નગરોની યાદી બનાવી. પછી તેઓ શીલોહની છાવણીમાં યહોશુઆ પાસે પાછા આવ્યા.
10 Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD. There Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.
૧૦પછી યહોશુઆએ તેઓને સારુ શીલોહમાં યહોવાહની આગળ ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખી. ત્યાં યહોશુઆએ ઇઝરાયલના લોકોને-તેઓના ભાગ પ્રમાણે વહેંચી આપ્યો.
11 The lot of the tribe of the descendants of Benjamin came up according to their families. The border of their lot went out between the descendants of Judah and the descendants of Joseph.
૧૧બિન્યામીનના કુળને તેઓના કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે તેમને તે દેશ ભાગ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. એટલે જે પ્રદેશ તેમને આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો તે યહૂદાના વંશજો અને યૂસફના વંશજોની વચ્ચે આવેલો હતો.
12 Their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan. The border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward. It ended at the wilderness of Beth Aven.
૧૨ઉત્તર ભાગે તેઓની સીમા યર્દન હતી. તે સીમા યર્દનથી યરીખોની ઉત્તર બાજુએ ગઈ, પછી પશ્ચિમ તરફ પહાડી પ્રદેશમાં તે ગઈ. ત્યાં તે બેથ-આવેનના રણ સુધી પહોંચી.
13 The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (that is, Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Lower Beth Horon.
૧૩ત્યાંથી આગળ લૂઝ એટલે બેથેલ ની દક્ષિણ બાજુએ તે સરહદ પસાર થઈ. નીચેના બેથ-હોરોનની દક્ષિણમાં જે પર્વત છે તેની પાસે થઈને અટારોથ-આદ્દાર સુધી ઊતરી.
14 The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), a city of the descendants of Judah. This was the west quarter.
૧૪એ પર્વત બેથ-હોરોનની સામે દક્ષિણ બાજુ પર આવેલો છે. ત્યાંથી તે સીમાનો છેડો યહૂદાના કુળના નગર કિર્યાથ-બાલ એટલે, કિર્યાથ-યારીમ આગળ આવેલો છે. આ તેની પશ્ચિમ બાજુ હતી.
15 The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.
૧૫દક્ષિણ ભાગ કિર્યાથ-યારીમની બહારની બાજુએથી શરૂ થયો. તેની સરહદ ત્યાંથી એફ્રોન, નેફતોઆના પાણીના ઝરા સુધી ગઈ.
16 The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Ben Hinnom, which is in the Valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the Valley of Hinnom, to the slope of the Jebusites southward, and went down to En Rogel.
૧૬તે સરહદ પછી નીચે હિન્નોમના દીકરાની ખીણની સામેના પર્વતની સરહદ સુધી, જે રફાઈઓની ખીણની અંતે ઉત્તર તરફ છે. પછી તે નીચે હિન્નોમની ખીણથી, યબૂસીઓના દક્ષિણ તરફના ઢાળથી, નીચે એન-રોગેલ સુધી ગઈ.
17 It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
૧૭તે ઉત્તરથી વળીને, એન-શેમેશની દિશામાં અને ત્યાંથી ગલીલોથ તરફ ગઈ, તે અદુમ્મીમના ઘાટની સામે છે. પછી તે નીચે બોહાનની શિલા તે રુબેનનો પુત્ર હતો સુધી ગઈ.
18 And it passed on to the north to the shoulder of Beth Arabah, and went down to the Arabah.
૧૮તે સરહદ બેથ અરાબાના ઉત્તરના ઢાળથી પસાર થઈને નીચે અરાબા સુધી ગઈ.
19 The border passed along to the side of Beth Hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the south border.
૧૯તે સરહદ બેથ-હોગ્લાના ઉત્તરી ઢાળ પરથી પસાર થઈ. તે સરહદનો છેડો ખારા સમુદ્રની ઉત્તરી ખાડી તરફ, યર્દનની દક્ષિણે આવેલો છે. આ દક્ષિણની સરહદ હતી.
20 The Jordan was its border on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the descendants of Benjamin, by the borders around it, according to their families.
૨૦પૂર્વ બાજુએ યર્દન તેની સરહદ હતી. તે બિન્યામીનના કુળનો વારસો હતો, તેઓના દરેકના કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે, ચોતરફની, સરહદ એ હતી.
21 Now the cities of the tribe of the descendants of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth Hoglah, and Emek Keziz,
૨૧હવે બિન્યામીનના કુળનાં નગરો તેઓના કુટુંબો પ્રમાણે આ હતા: એટલે યરીખો, બેથ-હોગ્લા, એમેક-કસીસ,
22 and Beth Arabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,
૨૨બેથ-અરાબા, સમારાઈમ, બેથેલ,
23 and Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
૨૩આવ્વીમ, પારા, ઓફ્રા,
24 and Chephar Ammoni, and Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages.
૨૪કફાર-આમ્મોની, ઓફની તથા ગેબા. તેઓના ગામો સહિત કુલ બાર નગરો હતાં.
25 Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
૨૫ત્યાં આ નગરો પણ હતાં, એટલે, ગિબ્યોન, રામા, બેરોથ,
26 and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,
૨૬મિસ્પા, કફીરા, મોસા,
27 and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,
૨૭રેકેમ, યિર્પેલ, તારલા,
28 and Zelah, Haeleph, and Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), and Gibeath, and Kiriath Jearim; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the descendants of Benjamin according to their families.
૨૮સેલા, હાલેફ, યબૂસી એટલે યરુશાલેમ, ગિબયા, કિર્યાથ. તેઓના ગામો સહિત કુલ ચૌદ નગરો હતાં. બિન્યામીનના કુળના કુટુંબો માટે એ વારસો હતો.
