< Ecclesiastes 4 >

1 Then I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and look, the tears of those who were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
Na nga sifilpa liye ma sesuwos puspis ma orek faclu. Mwet uh akkeokyeyuk ac elos tung, ac wangin mwet in kasrelos. Wangin mwet in kasrelos, mweyen ku uh oasr sin mwet akkeokyalos.
2 Therefore I praised the dead who have been long dead more than the living who are yet alive.
Nga ke ouiyuk mwet ma misa tari — wo nu selos liki mwet su srakna moul.
3 Yes, better than them both is him who has not yet been, who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
Tusruktu elos su soenna isusla ac tia liye ma sesuwos ma nuna orek na faclu, elos pa wo nu se liki na mwet srakna moul, ku mwet misa tari.
4 Then I saw all the labor and achievement that is the envy of a man's neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
Nga etala pac lah efu ku mwet uh arulana orekma upa ac suk in usrnguk ma elos oru: mweyen elos aorekmai nu sin sie sin sie. Tusruktu ma inge ma lusrongten — oana ukweyen eng uh.
5 The fool folds his hands together and ruins himself.
Oasr soakas se fahk mu mwet lalfon uh farpoeni ac sifacna masrinsralyal nwe ke el misa.
6 Better is a handful, with quietness, than two handfuls with labor and chasing after wind.
Sahp ac pwaye, tusruktu ma srisrik yurin sie mwet wi misla, wo liki kafofo ke ma pus, su oana ukweyen eng uh.
7 Then I returned and saw vanity under the sun.
Nga liye sie pacna ma lusrongten ke moul faclu.
8 There is one who is alone, and he has neither son nor brother. There is no end to all of his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with wealth. For whom then, do I labor, and deprive my soul of enjoyment? This also is vanity, yes, it is a miserable business.
Oasr sie mukul mukena muta. Wangin wen natul, ac wangin pac mwet lel, a el orekma pacl nukewa, ac soenna sun lungse lal ke mwe kasrup ma oan yorol. Ac ma nu sin su orekma upa lal uh, ac efu ku el pilesrala pacl in pwar lal uh? Wangin pac sripa in ouinge — sie ouiya na koluk in moulkinyuk.
9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.
Mwet luo wo liki mwet se na, mweyen ke eltal tukeni uh eltal akasrui ke orekma laltal.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up.
Sie seltal fin ikori, mwet se ngia ac ku in kasrel tulokunulak. A fin mwet se na ac el ikori, ac koluk nu sel mweyen wangin mwet in kasrel.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one keep warm alone?
Ke pacl mihsrisr, mwet luo fin tukeni oan eltal ac fusrfusr na, a kom ac fusrfusr fuka kom fin mukena?
12 If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Mwet se ku in lain mwet se na ac kutangla, tuh el tia ku in kutangla kuiyen mwet luo. Soko sucl ma pipla ke koa tolkwe ac upa in wotla.
13 Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who doesn't know how to receive admonition any more.
Sie mwet fusr finne sukasrup a el lalmwetmet, ac wo liki sie tokosra su matu ac lalfon, su srangesr eis kas in kasru
14 For out of prison he came forth to be king; yes, even in his kingdom he was born poor.
mwet fusr sac finne illa liki presin ac akwalyeyukyak nu ke tokosra, oayapa el finne isusla sukasrup in tokosrai uh.
15 I saw all the living who walk under the sun, that they were with the youth, the other, who succeeded him.
Nga nunku ke mwet nukewa su muta fin facl se inge, ac nga akilen lah oasr sie mwet fusr inmasrlolos su ac fah eis acn sin tokosra.
16 There was no end of all the people, even of all them over whom he was—yet those who come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
Pisen mwet tokosra se inge leumi uh arulana pus, koflana oekyukla, a fwil tokol an tiana srui orekma lal. Ma inge wangin sripa — oana ukweyen eng uh.
