Psalms 99

1 Jehovah reigns. Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim; the earth shakes.

O Senhor reina; tremam as nações: está assentado entre os cherubins; comova-se a terra.

2 Jehovah is great in Zion. He is high above all the peoples.

O Senhor é grande em Sião, e mais alto do que todas as nações.

3 Let them praise your great and awesome name. He is Holy.

Louvem o teu nome, grande e tremendo, pois é santo.

4 The King's strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

Também o poder do Rei ama o juízo: tu firmas a equidade, fazes juízo e justiça em Jacob.

5 Exalt Jehovah our God. Worship at his footstool. He is Holy.

Exaltai ao Senhor nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos diante do escabelo de seus pés, pois é santo.

6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Jehovah, and he answered them.

Moisés e Aarão, entre os seus sacerdotes, e Samuel entre os que invocam o seu nome, clamavam ao Senhor, e ele os ouvia.

7 He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.

Na coluna de nuvem lhes falava: eles guardavam os seus testemunhos, e os estatutos que lhes dera.

8 You answered them, Jehovah our God. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings.

Tu os escutaste, Senhor nosso Deus: tu foste um Deus que lhes perdoaste, ainda que tomaste vingança dos seus feitos.

9 Exalt Jehovah, our God. Worship at his holy mountain, for Jehovah, our God, is holy.

Exaltai ao Senhor nosso Deus e adorai-o no seu monte santo, pois o Senhor nosso Deus é santo.
