Judges 5
1 Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,

2 "Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, Jehovah.
Porquanto os chefes se puseram à frente em Israel, porquanto o povo se ofereceu voluntariamente, louvai ao Senhor
3 "Hear, you kings. Give ear, you princes. I, even I, will sing to Jehovah. I will sing praise to Jehovah, the God of Israel.
Ouvi, reis; dai ouvidos, príncipes: eu, eu cantarei ao Senhor; salmodiarei ao Senhor Deus de Israel.
4 "Jehovah, when you went forth out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, the sky also dropped. Yes, the clouds dropped water.
Ó Senhor, saindo tu de Seir, caminhando tu desde o campo de Edon, a terra estremeceu; até os céus gotejaram: até as nuvens gotejaram águas.
5 The mountains quaked at the presence of Jehovah, even Sinai, at the presence of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
Os montes se derreteram diante do Senhor, e até Sinai diante do Senhor Deus de Israel.
6 "In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied. The travelers walked through byways.
Nos dias de Samgar, filho de Anath, nos dias de Jael cessaram os caminhos de se percorrerem: e os que andavam por veredas iam por caminhos torcidos.
7 The rulers ceased in Israel. They ceased until I, Deborah, arose; Until I arose a mother in Israel.
Cessaram as aldeias em Israel, cessaram: até que eu, deborah, me levantei, por mãe em Israel me levantei.
8 They chose new gods. Then war was in the gates. Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
E se escolhia deuses novos, logo a guerra estava às portas: via-se por isso escudo ou lança entre quarenta mil em Israel?
9 My heart is toward the leaders of Israel, who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless Jehovah.
Meu coração é para os legisladores de Israel, que voluntariamente se ofereceram entre o povo; louvai ao Senhor.
10 "Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on saddle blankets, and you who walk by the way.
Vós os que cavalgais sobre jumentas brancas, que vos assentais em juízo, e que andais pelo caminho, falai disto.
11 Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, there they will rehearse the righteous acts of Jehovah, the righteous acts of his rule in Israel. "Then the people of Jehovah went down to the gates.
De onde se ouve o estrondo dos flecheiros, entre os lugares onde se tiram águas, ali falai das justiças do Senhor, das justiças que fez às suas aldeias em Israel: então o povo do Senhor descia às portas.
12 'Awake, awake, Deborah. Awaken the multitudes of a nation. Awake, awake, sing a song. Be strong. Arise, Barak. And Deborah, strengthen Barak. And lead away your captives, son of Abinoam.'
Desperta, desperta, deborah, desperta, desperta, entôa um cântico: levanta-te, Barac, e leva presos a teus prisioneiros, tu, filho de Abinoam.
13 "Then a remnant of the nobles came down. The people of Jehovah marched down to me against the mighty.
Então o Senhor fez dominar sobre os magníficos entre o povo aos que ficaram de resto: fêz-me o Senhor dominar sobre os valentes.
14 From Ephraim those who uprooted Amalek came out, following you, Benjamin, among your peoples; out of Makir leaders came down, and out of Zebulun those that handle the staff of office.
De Ephraim saiu a sua raiz contra Amalek: e após de ti vinha Benjamin dentre os teus povos: de Machir e Zebulon desceram os legisladores, passando com o cajado do escriba.
15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah. As was Issachar, so was Barak. They rushed into the valley at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben, there were great resolves of heart.
Também os principais de Issacar, foram com deborah; e como Issacar, assim também Barac, foi enviado a pé para o vale: nas correntes de Ruben foram grandes as resoluções do coração.
16 Why did you sit among the sheepfolds, to hear the piping for the flocks? At the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
Porque ficaste tu entre os currais para ouvires os balidos dos rebanhos? nas correntes de Ruben tiveram grandes esquadrinhações do coração.
17 Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and lived by his harbors.
Gilead se ficou de além do Jordão, e Dan porque se deteve em navios? Aser se assentou nos portos do mar, e ficou nas suas ruínas.
18 Zebulun was a people that risked their lives even to death; Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.
Zebulon é um povo que expôs a sua vida à morte, como também Naphtali, nas alturas do campo.
19 The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.
Vieram reis, pelejaram: então pelejaram os reis de Canaan em Thaanak, junto às águas de Megiddo: não tomaram ganho de prata.
20 From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.
Desde os céus pelejaram: até as estrelas desde os lugares dos seus cursos pelejaram contra Sisera.
21 The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.
O ribeiro de Kison os arrastou, aquele antigo ribeiro, o ribeiro de Kison. Pisaste, ó alma minha, a força.
22 Then the horse hoofs pounded because of the galloping, the galloping of their steeds.
Então as unhas dos cavalos se despedaçaram: pelo galopar, o galopar dos seus valentes.
23 Curse Meroz, said the angel of Jehovah. Curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they did not come to help Jehovah, to help Jehovah against the mighty.
Amaldiçoai a Meroz, diz o anjo do Senhor, acremente amaldiçoai aos seus moradores: porquanto não vieram ao socorro do Senhor, ao socorro do Senhor com os valorosos.
24 Jael shall be blessed above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
Bendita seja sobre as mulheres Jael, mulher de Heber, o keneu: bendita seja sobre as mulheres nas tendas.
25 He asked for water. She gave him milk. She brought him curds in a princely bowl.
água pediu ele, leite lhe deu ela: em taça de príncipes lhe ofereceu manteiga.
26 She put her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer. She struck Sisera, she pierced his head; she shattered and struck through his temple.
Á estaca estendeu a sua mão esquerda, e ao maço dos trabalhadores a sua direita: e matou a Sisera, e rachou-lhe a cabeça, quando lhe pregou e atravessou as fontes.
27 At her feet he collapsed, he fell, he lay. At her feet he collapsed, he fell. Where he collapsed, there he fell down, destroyed.
Entre os seus pés se encurvou, caiu, ficou estirado: entre os seus pés se encurvou caiu: onde se encurvou ali ficou abatido.
28 Through the window she looked out. Sisera's mother cried out through the lattice, 'Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why are the hoofbeats of his chariots delayed?'
A mãe de Sisera olhava pela janela, e exclamava pela grade: Porque tarda em vir o seu carro? porque se demoram os passos dos seus carros?
29 Her wise princesses answered her; indeed, she answers herself,
As mais sabias das suas damas responderam; e até ela se respondia a si mesmo:
30 'Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A womb or two for every man; to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, for the neck of the plunderer?'
Porventura não achariam e repartiriam despojos? uma ou duas moças a cada homem? para Sisera despojos de várias cores, despojos de várias cores de bordados; de várias cores bordadas de ambas as bandas, para os pescoços do despojo?
31 So let all your enemies perish, Jehovah, but let those who love you be as the sun when it rises forth in its strength." And the land had rest forty years.
Assim, ó Senhor, pereçam todos os teus inimigos! porém os que o amam sejam como o sol quando sai na sua força. E sossegou a terra quarenta anos.
