1 Now these are the people of the province, who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, everyone to his city;

59 These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not show whether their fathers' house, and their descent, were from Israel:
Também estes subiram de Tel-melah e Tel-harsa, Cherub, Addan e Immer: porém não puderam mostrar a casa de seus pais, e sua linhagem, se de Israel eram.
60 the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.
Os filhos de Dalaias, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Nekoda, seiscentos e cincoênta e dois.
61 Of the descendants of the priests: the descendants of Habaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
E dos filhos dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaias, os filhos de Kos, os filhos de Barzillai, que tomou mulher das filhas de Barzillai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.
62 These sought their place among those who were registered by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they deemed polluted and put from the priesthood.

63 The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

64 The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
Toda esta congregação junta foi, quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,
65 besides their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and they had two hundred singing men and singing women.
A fora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil, trezentos e trinta e sete: também tinha duzentos cantores e cantoras.
66 Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;

67 their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

68 Some of the heads of ancestral houses, when they came to the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for God's house to set it up in its place:
E alguns dos chefes dos pais, vindo à casa do Senhor, que habita em Jerusalém, deram voluntárias ofertas para a casa de Deus, para a fundarem no seu lugar.
69 they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.
Conforme ao seu poder, deram para o tesouro da obra, em ouro, sessenta e um mil dracmas, e em prata cinco mil libras, e cem vestes sacerdotais.
70 So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
E habitaram os sacerdotes e os levitas, e alguns do povo, tanto os cantores, como os porteiros, e os nethineos, nas suas cidades; como também todo o Israel nas suas cidades.
