Matthew 13
1 On that same day, after Jesus had left the house, he took his seat on the seashore;
An jenem Tage gieng Jesus von Hause weg und setzte sich am See nieder.
2 and such a great crowd gathered about him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the crowd stood on the beach.
Und es sammelten sich bei ihm große Massen, so daß er ein Schiff bestieg und sich darein setzte, und die ganze Menge stand am Ufer.
3 Then he told them many truths in parables. "Behold," he said, "the sower went forth to sow;
Und er redete zu ihnen vieles in Gleichnissen, und sprach: Siehe, es gieng der Sämann aus zu säen.
4 and as he sowed, some seed fell by the roadside, and the birds came and ate it.
Und da er säte, fiel das eine an den Weg, und es kamen die Vögel und fraßen es auf.
5 Some fell on rocky ground where there was not much earth. Now because it had no depth of soil, it sprang up at once;
Anderes aber fiel auf steiniges Land, wo es nicht viel Boden hatte, und schoß schnell auf, weil es nicht tief im Boden lag;
6 but when the sun rose it was scorched, and withered away because it had no root.
aber als die Sonne aufgieng, ward es versengt und verdorrte, weil es keine Wurzel hatte.
7 Some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked it.
Anderes aber fiel unter die Dornen, und die Dornen giengen auf und erstickten es.
8 But some fell on good soil, and bore a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Anderes aber fiel auf das gute Land und brachte Frucht, das eine hundertfältig, das andere sechzig-, wieder anderes dreißigfältig.
9 He who has ears, let him hear!"
Wer Ohren hat, der höre.
10 Now when his disciples came up to him, they said,
Und die Jünger kamen herzu und sagten zu ihm: warum redest du zu ihnen mit Gleichnissen?
11 "Why do you speak to them in parables?" Jesus answered. "To you it has been granted to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; but to them it has not been granted.
Er aber antwortete: weil es euch gegeben ist, zu erkennen die Geheimnisse des Reichs der Himmel, jenen aber nicht gegeben ist.
12 "For whoever holds, to him shall more be given, and he shall have abundance; but whoever does not hold, from him shall be taken away even what he holds.
Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben, ja überschwenglich gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch genommen werden, das er hat.
13 "This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Darum rede ich zu ihnen in Gleichnissen, weil sie sehen und doch nicht sehen, hören und doch nicht hören noch verstehen.
14 And in them is being fulfilled that prophecy of Isaiah which says. "Hearing you will hear and not understand; Seeing you will see and not perceive;
Und es erfüllt sich für sie die Weissagung des Jesaias, die da lautet: Mit dem Gehör sollt ihr hören und nichts verstehen, und mit dem Gesicht sehen und nichts erblicken.
15 For the heart of his people is made fat, Their ears are dull of hearing; Their eyes, too, have they closed, Lest some day their eyes should perceive, And their ears should hear, And their heart should understand and turn, And I should heal them.
Denn es ward das Herz dieses Volkes verstockt und sie sind schwerhörig geworden, und ihre Augen haben sie verschlossen, daß sie nicht sähen mit ihren Augen, und nicht hörten mit ihren Ohren noch verständen mit dem Herzen und umkehrten, und ich sie heilte.
16 "But happy are your eyes, because they see, and your ears because they hear.
Selig aber sind eure Augen, daß sie sehen, und eure Ohren, daß sie hören.
17 "In solemn truth I tell you that many prophets and holy men have seen it not, and to hear what you are hearing, and have not heard it.
Wahrlich, ich sage euch, viele Propheten und Gerechte begehrten zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben es nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben es nicht gehört.
18 "Listen then, to the parable of the sower.
So höret ihr das Gleichnis des Sämanns.
19 "Whenever any one hears the message of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the Evil One comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.
Wo überall einer das Wort vom Reiche hört und nicht versteht, da kommt der Böse und nimmt weg, was in sein Herz gestreut ist. Das ist der, bei welchem es an den Weg gesät ward.
20 "This is the seed sown by the wayside. And the word, and at once receives it with joy.
Was aber auf das steinige Land gesät ward, das ist der, welcher das Wort hört und alsdann mit Freuden annimmt.
21 "But he has no root in himself; he continues for a time, but when trouble arises, or persecutions, on account of the word, at once he stumbles and falls.
Er hat aber keine Wurzel in sich, sondern er ist ein Kind des Augenblicks; kommt aber Drangsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen, so nimmt er gleich Anstoß.
22 "And the seed sown among thorns is he who hears the word, but the anxieties of the age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
Was aber unter die Dornen gesät ward, das ist der, welcher das Wort hört, und die Sorge der Welt und der Trug des Reichtums erstickt das Wort, und er bleibt ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
23 "But the seed sown in good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit, and makes now an hundredfold, now sixty, now thirty."
Was aber auf das gute Land gesät ist, das ist der, der das Wort hört und versteht, der dann Frucht bringt, und trägt der eine hundertfältig, der andere sechzig-, der andere dreißigfältig.
24 He told them another parable. "The kingdom of heaven," he said, "is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor also: Das Reich der Himmel gleicht einem Menschen, der guten Samen säte auf seinen Acker.
25 "but while men were asleep his enemy came and sowed tares among his wheat and went away.
Während aber die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut dazu, mitten unter den Weizen, und gieng davon.
26 "And when the blade shot up and formed the wheat-kernel, then the tares also appeared.
Als aber die grüne Saat sproßte und Frucht trieb, da zeigte sich auch das Unkraut.
27 "The slaves of the owner went to him and said. "‘Was it not good seed, sir, that you sowed in your field? From whence then, do you get tares?’
Es kamen aber die Knechte des Hausherrn herzu und sagten ihm: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen gesät auf deinen Acker? Woher hat er denn Unkraut?
28 "‘It is an enemy who has done this,’ he answered. "The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and collect them?’
Er aber sagte zu ihnen: ein Feind hat das gethan. Die Knechte aber sagen zu ihm, willst du nun, daß wir hingehen und es sammeln?
29 "‘No,’ he answered, ‘for fear lest while you are collecting the tares, you at the same time pull up the wheat.
Er aber sagt: nein, damit ihr nicht beim Sammeln des Unkrauts mit demselben auch den Weizen herausreißet.
30 "Let both grow together until harvest, and at harvest-time I will tell the reapers to first gather the tares and tie them in bundles for burning, but to bring all the wheat into my store-house.’"
Lasset beides mit einandner wachsen bis zur Ernte, dann werde ich zur Zeit der Ernte zu den Schnittern sagen: sammelt zuerst das Unkraut und bindet es in Bündel, es zu verbrennen, den Weizen aber sammelt in meine Scheune.
31 He set forth to them another parable, saying. "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard-seed which a man took and planted in his field.
Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor also: Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Senfkorn, das ein Mensch nahm und säte es auf seinen Acker.
32 "This is indeed the smallest of seeds, but when it is grown it is greater than any herb, and becomes a tree, so that the winged things of the sky come and roost in its branches."
Das ist der kleinste unter allen Samen, wenn es aber wächst, so ist es größer als die Kräuter und wird ein Baum, so daß die Vögel des Himmels kommen und nisten in seinen Zweigen.
33 He told them another parable. He said, "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until the whole was leavened."
Ein anderes Gleichnis sagte er zu ihnen: Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Sauerteig, den eine Frau nahm und legte ihn ein in drei Sat Weizenmehl, bis es ganz durchsäuert ward.
34 Jesus told all this to the crowd in parables; indeed he never spoke to them except in parables,
Dieses alles redete Jesus in Gleichnissen zu den Massen, und ohne Gleichnis redete er nichts zu ihnen,
35 in fulfilment of the word spoken by the prophet, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things kept secret since the foundation of the world."
auf daß erfüllt würde, was da gesagt ist durch das Wort des Propheten Jesaias: Ich will aufthun mit Gleichnissen meinen Mund, ich will ausschütten, was verborgen ist von der Schöpfung her.
36 After he had sent the people away and gone into the house, his disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable about the weeds in the field."
Hierauf entließ er die Massen und gieng in das Haus. Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sagten: Deute uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut des Ackers.
37 "The sower of the seed," he answered, "is the Son of man;
Er aber antwortete: Der den guten Samen sät, ist der Sohn des Menschen.
38 "the field is the world; the good seed is the sons of the kingdom; the weeds, the sons of the Evil One.
Der Acker aber ist die Welt; der gute Samen aber, das sind die Söhne des Reiches; das Unkraut aber sind die Söhne des Bösen.
39 "The enemy who sows the weeds is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age. The reapers are the angels. (aiōn g165)
Der Feind aber, der es gesät, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte aber ist das Ende der Welt, die Schnitter sind Engel. (aiōn g165)
40 "Just as the weeds are collected together and burnt with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. (aiōn g165)
Wie nun das Unkraut gesammelt und im Feuer verbrannt wird, so wird es am Ende der Welt sein. (aiōn g165)
41 "The son of man will send forth his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all hindrances, and whoever practises iniquity,
Der Sohn des Menschen wird seine Engel ausschicken, und sie werden aus seinem Reiche zusammenlesen alle Aergernisse und die den Frevel thun,
42 "and will throw them into the fiery furnace. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen, da wird sein Heulen und Zähneknirschen.
43 "And then shall the just shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let him who has ears to hear, listen!
Alsdann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in ihres Vaters Reich. Wer Ohren hat, der höre.
44 "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in the ground, which a man finds but buries again, and then in his joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that land.
Das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Schatze, der auf einem Acker verborgen war, den fand ein Mensch und verbarg ihn, und vor Freude geht er hin und verkaufte alles was er hat und kauft den Acker.
45 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of beautiful pearls.
Wiederum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Handelsmann, der edle Perlen suchte.
46 "When he finds one of great price, he goes and sells everything he has and buys it.
Da er aber eine kostbare Perle gefunden hatte, gieng er hin und verkaufte alles was er hatte und kaufte sie.
47 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.
Wiederum ist das Reich der Himmel gleich einem Netze, das in das Meer geworfen ward und allerhand aufnahm;
48 "When it was full they hauled it upon the beach, and sat down and sorted the good fish into baskets, but threw the worthless fish away.
als es voll war, zogen sie es ans Ufer, setzten sich und lasen das Gute in Gefäße, das Faule aber warfen sie weg.
49 "So will it be at the end of the age. The angels will go forth and separate the wicked from the righteous, and fling them into the furnace of fire. (aiōn g165)
So wird es sein am Ende der Welt; es werden die Engel ausgehen und die Bösen ausscheiden von den Gerechten, (aiōn g165)
50 "There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen, da wird sein Heulen und Zähneknirschen.
51 "Have you understood all this?" he asked. "We have," they answered him.
Habt ihr das alles verstanden? Da sagen sie zu ihm: ja.
52 "Then," said he, "every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his storehouse new things and old."
Er aber sagt zu ihnen: Darum gleicht jeder Schriftgelehrte, der geschult ist für das Reich der Himmel, einem Hausherrn, der aus seinem Schatze vorbringt neues und altes.
53 After Jesus had finished these parables, he withdrew from that place,
Und es geschah, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse beendet hatte, brach er von dort auf.
54 and came into his own country, where he continued teaching the people in their synagogues, until they were amazed. "Where did he get such wisdom?" they said, "and such wondrous powers?
Und er kam in seine Vaterstadt und lehrte sie in ihrer Synagoge also, daß sie betroffen sprachen: woher hat der diese Weisheit und die Wunder?
55 "Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? and his brothers Jamesand Joseph and Simon and Judas?
Ist das nicht des Zimmermanns Sohn? heißt seine Mutter nicht Mariam und seine Brüder Jakobus und Joseph und Simon und Judas?
56 "Are not his sisters all living among us? Where, then, did he get all these powers?"
und sind nicht seine Schwestern alle bei uns? Woher hat er nun das alles?
57 This kept them from believing in him. Wherefore Jesus said, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and among his own family."
Und sie nahmen Anstoß an ihm. Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: ein Prophet ist nirgend unwert außer in seiner Vaterstadt und in seinem Hause.
58 And he did no mighty works there, because of their lack of faith.
Und er that nicht viele Wunder daselbst um ihres Unglaubens willen.
