John 4

1 Accordingly when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard it said, "Jesus is making and baptizing more disciples than John,"

۱ و چون خداوند دانست که فریسیان مطلع شده‌اند که عیسی بیشتر از یحیی شاگردپیدا کرده، تعمید می‌دهد،

2 (though Jesus himself was not accustomed to baptize, but his disciples),

۲ با اینکه خود عیسی تعمید نمی داد بلکه شاگردانش،

3 he left Judea and returned to Galilee.

۳ یهودیه راگذارده، باز به‌جانب جلیل رفت.

4 Now he had to pass through Samaria;

۴ و لازم بود که از سامره عبور کند

5 so he came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the piece of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

۵ پس به شهری از سامره که سوخار نام داشت، نزدیک به آن موضعی که یعقوب به پسر خود یوسف داده بود رسید.

6 Jacob’s Spring was there. So Jesus, tired out with his journey, was sitting thus by the spring.

۶ و در آنجا چاه یعقوب بود. پس عیسی از سفر خسته شده، همچنین بر سر چاه نشسته بود و قریب به ساعت ششم بود.

7 It was about noon, and a woman of Samaria came to draw water.

۷ که زنی سامری بجهت آب کشیدن آمد. عیسی بدو گفت: «جرعه‌ای آب به من بنوشان.»

8 Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink" (for his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food.)

۸ زیرا شاگردانش بجهت خریدن خوراک به شهر رفته بودند.

9 "How is it," answered the Samaritan woman, "that you who are a Jew ask a drink from me, a woman, and a Samaritan?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

۹ زن سامری بدو گفت: «چگونه تو که یهود هستی ازمن آب می‌خواهی و حال آنکه زن سامری می‌باشم؟» زیرا که یهود با سامریان معاشرت ندارند.

10 "If you had known the free gift of God," Jesus answered, "and who it is that says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water."

۱۰ عیسی در جواب او گفت: «اگر بخشش خدا را می‌دانستی و کیست که به تو می‌گوید آب به من بده، هرآینه تو از او خواهش می‌کردی و به تو آب زنده عطا می‌کرد.

11 "Sir," said the woman, "you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep; whence have you that living water?

۱۱ زن بدو گفت: «ای آقادلو نداری و چاه عمیق است. پس از کجا آب زنده داری؟

12 Surely you are not greater than our Father Jacob, who gave us the well, and used to drink from it himself, and his sons, and his cattle, too?"

۱۲ آیا تو از پدر ما یعقوب بزرگترهستی که چاه را به ما داد و خود و پسران و مواشی او از آن می‌آشامیدند؟»

13 "All who drink of this water," Jesus answered, "will thirst again;

۱۳ عیسی در جواب اوگفت: «هر‌که از این آب بنوشد باز تشنه گردد،

14 but whoever once drinks of the water that I will give him, shall never thirst any more, but the water that I will give him shall become a living spring of water within him, welling up into eternal life." (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)

۱۴ لیکن کسی‌که از آبی که من به او می‌دهم بنوشد، ابد تشنه نخواهد شد، بلکه آن آبی که به او می‌دهم در او چشمه آبی گردد که تا حیات جاودانی می‌جوشد.» (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)

15 "Sir!" exclaimed the woman, "give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty, nor come all this way to draw water."

۱۵ زن بدو گفت: «ای آقا آن آب را به من بده تا دیگر تشنه نگردم و به اینجابجهت آب کشیدن نیایم.»

16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and then come here."

۱۶ عیسی به او گفت: «برو و شوهر خود رابخوان و در اینجا بیا.»

17 "I have no husband," answered the woman. "You are right in saying ‘I have no husband,’"Jesus said to her,

۱۷ زن در جواب گفت: «شوهر ندارم.» عیسی بدو گفت: «نیکو گفتی که شوهر نداری!

18 "for you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband; in this you have spoken truly."

۱۸ زیرا که پنج شوهر داشتی وآنکه الان داری شوهر تو نیست! این سخن راراست گفتی!»

19 "I see, Sir, that you are a prophet," replied the woman.

۱۹ زن بدو گفت: «ای آقا می‌بینم که تو نبی هستی!

20 "Our forefathers worshiped in this mountain, yet you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship."

۲۰ پدران ما در این کوه پرستش می‌کردند و شما می‌گویید که در اورشلیم جایی است که در آن عبادت باید نمود.»

21 "Woman, believe me," said Jesus, "that the hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

۲۱ عیسی بدوگفت: «ای زن مرا تصدیق کن که ساعتی می‌آید که نه در این کوه و نه در اورشلیم پدر را پرستش خواهید کرد.

22 You are worshiping something you do not know. we know what we worship, for salvation comes from the Jews.

۲۲ شما آنچه را که نمی دانیدمی پرستید اما ما آنچه را که می‌دانیم عبادت می‌کنیم زیرا نجات از یهود است.

23 But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father is seeking such as his worshipers.

۲۳ لیکن ساعتی می‌آید بلکه الان است که در آن پرستندگان حقیقی پدر را به روح و راستی پرستش خواهندکرد زیرا که پدر مثل این پرستندگان خود را طالب است.

24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

۲۴ خدا روح است و هر‌که او را پرستش کند می‌باید به روح و راستی بپرستد.»

25 "I know," said the woman, "that Messiah is coming, who is called the Christ; when he has come he will tell us everything."

۲۵ زن بدو گفت: «می‌دانم که مسیح یعنی کرستس می‌آید. پس هنگامی که او آید از هر چیزبه ما خبر‌خواهد داد.»

26 Jesus said to her, "I who am now talking to you, am he."

۲۶ عیسی بدو گفت: «من که با تو سخن می‌گویم همانم.»

27 Just then his disciples came up, and were astonished that he was talking with a woman; yet not one of them asked him, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?"

۲۷ و در همان وقت شاگردانش آمده، تعجب کردند که با زنی سخن می‌گوید و لکن هیچ‌کس نگفت که چه می‌طلبی یا برای چه با او حرف می‌زنی.

28 Then the woman left her water-jar, and went away into the city and began saying to the people.

۲۸ آنگاه زن سبوی خود را گذارده، به شهر رفت و مردم را گفت:

29 "Come! see a man who has told me everything that I ever did. He can’t be the Christ, can he?"

۲۹ «بیایید و کسی راببینید که هرآنچه کرده بودم به من گفت. آیا این مسیح نیست؟»

30 They left the city and set out to go to him.

۳۰ پس از شهر بیرون شده، نزد اومی آمدند.

31 Meanwhile the disciples kept urging him.

۳۱ و در اثنا آن شاگردان او خواهش نموده، گفتند: «ای استاد بخور.»

32 "Rabbi," they said, "eat something." But he answered, "I have food to eat of which you know nothing."

۳۲ بدیشان گفت: «من غذایی دارم که بخورم و شما آن را نمی دانید.»

33 So the disciples began to say to one another, "Can any one have brought him something to eat?"

۳۳ شاگردان به یکدیگر گفتند: «مگر کسی برای اوخوراکی آورده باشد!»

34 Jesus said to them. "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.

۳۴ عیسی بدیشان گفت: «خوراک من آن است که خواهش فرستنده خودرا به عمل آورم و کار او را به انجام رسانم.

35 Do you not say, ‘It wants yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you! Lift up your eyes and behold the fields, that they are already white for harvest.

۳۵ آیاشما نمی گویید که چهار ماه دیگر موسم درواست؟ اینک به شما می‌گویم چشمان خود را بالاافکنید و مزرعه‌ها را ببینید زیرا که الان بجهت درو سفید شده است.

36 The reaper is already receiving wages and gathering a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)

۳۶ و دروگر اجرت می‌گیردو ثمری بجهت حیات جاودانی جمع می‌کند تاکارنده و درو‌کننده هر دو با هم خشنود گردند. (aiōnios g166)

37 For in this respect the saying is true, ‘One sows, another reaps.’

۳۷ زیرا این کلام در اینجا راست است که یکی می‌کارد و دیگری درو می‌کند.

38 I sent you to reap a crop on which you have not toiled. Others have toiled, and you have reaped the benefit of their toil."

۳۸ من شما رافرستادم تا چیزی را که در آن رنج نبرده‌اید دروکنید. دیگران محنت کشیدند و شما در محنت ایشان داخل شده‌اید.»

39 Many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him because of the word of the woman when she declared, "He told me everything that I ever did."

۳۹ پس در آن شهر بسیاری از سامریان بواسطه سخن آن زن که شهادت داد که هر‌آنچه کرده بودم به من باز‌گفت بدو ایمان آوردند.

40 So when the Samaritans arrived, they began asking him to remain with them; and he stayed there two days.

۴۰ و چون سامریان نزد او آمدند، از او خواهش کردند که نزدایشان بماند و دو روز در آنجا بماند.

41 Then many more believed because of what he said, himself; and they told the woman.

۴۱ و بسیاری دیگر بواسطه کلام او ایمان آوردند.

42 "We no longer believe because of what you said. for we ourselves have heard him, and we know that this is certainly the Saviour of the world."

۴۲ و به زن گفتند که «بعد از این بواسطه سخن تو ایمان نمی آوریم زیرا خود شنیده و دانسته‌ایم که او درحقیقت مسیح و نجات‌دهنده عالم است.»

43 After these two days Jesus went away from there into Galilee.

۴۳ اما بعد از دو روز از آنجا بیرون آمده، به سوی جلیل روانه شد.

44 For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.

۴۴ زیرا خود عیسی شهادت داد که هیچ نبی را در وطن خود حرمت نیست.

45 When he reached Galilee, however, the Galileans welcomed him, for they had seen all that he did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they, too, had been at the feast.

۴۵ پس چون به جلیل آمد، جلیلیان او راپذیرفتند زیرا هر‌چه در اورشلیم در عید کرده بود، دیدند، چونکه ایشان نیز در عید رفته بودند.

46 So he came back again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. Now there was one of the king’s officers whose son was lying ill at Capernaum.

۴۶ پس عیسی به قانای جلیل آنجایی که آب را شراب ساخته بود، بازآمد. و یکی از سرهنگان ملک بود که پسر او در کفرناحوم مریض بود.

47 When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, he went to him, and begged him to come down and heal his son who was lying at the point of death.

۴۷ وچون شنید که عیسی از یهودیه به جلیل آمده است، نزد او آمده، خواهش کرد که فرود بیاید وپسر او را شفا دهد، زیرا که مشرف به موت بود.

48 Then Jesus said to him, "Unless you all see signs and wonders, you will not believe."

۴۸ عیسی بدو گفت: «اگر آیات و معجزات نبینید، همانا ایمان نیاورید.»

49 "Sir," said the king’s officer, "come down before my little boy dies."

۴۹ سرهنگ بدو گفت: «ای آقا قبل از آنکه پسرم بمیرد فرود بیا.»

50 Jesus answered. "Go your way. Your son lives." And the man believed the word which Jesus spoke to him, and started to go home.

۵۰ عیسی بدو گفت: «برو که پسرت زنده است.» آن شخص به سخنی که عیسی بدو گفت، ایمان آورده، روانه شد.

51 And when he was already on his way down, his slaves met him, saying that his boy was living.

۵۱ و در وقتی که او می‌رفت، غلامانش او راستقبال نموده، مژده دادند و گفتند که پسر توزنده است.

52 So he asked them at what hour he had begun mend. They answered, "Yesterday, about one o’clock, the fever left him."

۵۲ پس از ایشان پرسید که در چه ساعت عافیت یافت. گفتند: «دیروز، در ساعت هفتم تب از او زایل گشت.»

53 Then the father realized that it had left him at the very hour when Jesus had said to him, "Your son lives," and he himself believed, and his whole household.

۵۳ آنگاه پدر فهمیدکه در همان ساعت عیسی گفته بود: «پسر تو زنده است.» پس او و تمام اهل خانه او ایمان آوردند.

54 This is the second sign which Jesus performed, on returning from Judea to Galilee.

۵۴ و این نیز معجزه دوم بود که از عیسی در وقتی که از یهودیه به جلیل آمد، به ظهور رسید.
