< Psalms 44 >

1 “To the chief musician, for the sons of Korach, a Maskil.” O God, with our ears have we heard, our fathers have told us, deeds which thou hadst done in their days, in times of old.
[Psalm lun Tulik natul Korah] O God, kut tuh lohng ke insresr sifacna Ma mwet matu lasr elos fahk nu sesr Ke orekma yohk su kom oru nu selos in pacl lalos Ke pacl loeloes somla:
2 Thou, with thy hand, didst indeed drive out nations, and plant them; thou didst ill-treat people, and cause them to spread out.
Ke kom sifacna lusla mwet koluk liki facl selos Ac oakiya mwet lom in acn selos; Ac ke kom kai pac mutunfacl saya Ac oru tuh mutunfacl lom in kapkapak.
3 For not by their sword did they obtain possession of the land, and their own arm brought them no victory; but thy right hand, and thy arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst given them thy favor.
Mwet lom elos tia sruokya acn inge ke cutlass natulos, Elos tia kutangla ke ku lalos sifacna, A ke ku lulap lom, Ac ke kom welulos. Ma inge akkalemye lah kom lungse elos.
4 Thou art my King, O God: ordain salvation for Jacob.
Kom tokosra luk ac God luk; Kom sang kutangla nu sin mwet lom,
5 Through thee will we butt down our assailants: through thy name will we tread under foot our opponents.
Ac ke ku lom kut kutangla mwet lokoalok lasr.
6 For not in my bow will I trust, and my sword shall not help me.
Nga tia lulalfongi ke mwe pisr nutik Ku ke cutlass nutik in moliyula.
7 But thou helpest us against our assailants, and those that hate us thou puttest to shame.
A kom pa molikutla liki mwet lokoalok lasr Ac kutangulosla su srungakut.
8 Of God we boast all the day, and to thy name will we give thanks for ever. (Selah)
Kut ac fah kaksakin kom pacl e nukewa Ac sot kulo nu sum nwe tok ma pahtpat.
9 But [now] thou hast cast off, and put us to the blush, and goest not forth with our armies.
Tuh pa inge kom siskutla ac lela tuh in kutangyukla kut; Kom tia sifil wi mwet mweun lasr fahsr nu ke mweun.
10 Thou causest us to turn back from before our assailant: and they who hate us take spoil for themselves.
Kom tuh oru kut kaingkin mwet lokoalok lasr, Na elos eisla ma lasr tuh in ma lalos.
11 Thou givest us up like sheep for food, and among the nations hast thou dispersed us.
Ac kom lela tuh in anwuki kut oana sheep; Kom akfahsryekutelik in facl sin mwetsac.
12 Thou sellest thy people for no value, and acquirest no gain by their price.
Kom kukakunla mwet lom ke moul na srik Oana elos in ma na pilasr.
13 Thou renderest us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those that are round about us.
Ke mwet tulan lasr liye ma kom oru nu sesr inge, Elos aksruksrukye kut ac isrun kut.
14 Thou renderest us a by-word among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.
Kom orekut in mwe tafunkas inmasrlon mutanfahl uh; Ac mwet uh usruk sifalos kacsr in aksruksrukye kut.
15 All the day is my disgrace before me, and the shame of my face covereth me;
Akpusiselyeyuk nga pacl nukewa; Ac arulana yohk mwekin luk
16 Because of the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
Ke nga lohng pusren aksruksruk ac kas in akkoluk Lun mwet lokoalok luk, su srungayu.
17 All this is come over us, yet have we not forgotten thee; nor have we dealt falsely by thy covenant;
Ma inge nukewa sikyak nu sesr Kut finne tiana mulkinkomla Ku kunausla wulela su kom oakiya inmasrlosr ac kom.
18 Our heart is not moved backward, nor hath our step turned aside from thy path:
Kut tiana pilesrekomla; Kut tiana seakos ma sap lom.
19 Even when thou didst crush us in the abode of monsters, and cover us with the shadow of death.
Ne ouinge kom filikuti inmasrlon kosro lemnak; Ac kom siskutla in nien lohsr matoltol.
20 If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange God:
Kut funu tui ac tila alu nu sin God lasr A kut alu nu sin god saya,
21 Would not God search out this? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Kom lukun konauk tari, Mweyen kom etu na pwaye nunak lukma lasr.
22 But for thy sake are we slain all the day; we are counted as flocks [destined] for slaughter.
Tuh ke sripom, kutu sesr anwuki len nukewa; Orek kut oana sheep su kokola nu ke misa.
23 Awake, wherefore wilt thou sleep, O Lord? arise, abandon us not for ever.
O Leum, ngutalik! Efu kom ku motul? Tukakek! Nikmet siskutla nwe tok!
24 Wherefore wilt thou hide thy face, wilt thou forget our misery, and our oppression?
Efu kom ku wikla liki kut? Nikmet mulkunla keok ac ongoiya lasr!
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaveth unto the earth.
Kut itungyuki nu fin fohk uh; Kut kutangyukla oan infohk uh.
26 Arise unto our help, and redeem us for the sake of thy kindness.
Fahsru ac kasrekut! Molikutla ke lungse kawil lom!
