Jeremias 15
1 And the Lord said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before my face, my soul could not be toward them: dismiss this people, and let them go forth.
तब ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे फ़रमाया कि अगरचे मूसा और समुएल मेरे सामने खड़े होते तो मेरा दिल इन लोगों की तरफ़ मुतवज्जिह न होता। इनको मेरे सामने से निकाल दे कि चले जाएँ!
2 And it shall be, if they say to you, Whither shall we go forth? then you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord; As many as are for death, to death; and as many as are for famine, to famine; and as many as are for the sword, to the sword; and as many as are for captivity, to captivity.
और जब वह तुझसे कहें कि 'हम किधर जाएँ?' तू उनसे कहना कि 'ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है कि जो मौत के लिए हैं वह मौत की तरफ़ जाएँ, और जो तलवार के लिए हैं वह तलवार की तरफ़, और जो काल के लिए हैं वह काल को, और जो ग़ुलामी के लिए हैं वह ग़ुलामी में।
3 And I will punish them with four kinds [of death], says the Lord, the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the wild beasts of the earth, and the birds of the sky to devour and destroy.
और मैं चार चीज़ों' को उन पर मुसल्लत करूँगा, ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है: तलवार को कि क़त्ल करे, और कुत्तों को कि फाड़ डालें, और आसमानी परिन्दों को, और ज़मीन के दरिन्दों को कि निगल जाएँ और हलाक करें।
4 And I will deliver them up for distress to all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasses son of Ezekias king of Juda, for all that he did in Jerusalem.
और मैं उनको शाह — ए — यहूदाह मनस्सी — बिन — हिज़क़ियाह की वजह से, उस काम के ज़रिये' जो उसने येरूशलेम में किया, छोड़ दूँगा कि ज़मीन की सब ममलुकतों में धक्के खाते फिरें।
5 Who will spare you, O Jerusalem? and who will fear for you? or who will turn back [to ask] for your welfare?
“अब ऐ येरूशलेम, कौन तुझ पर रहम करेगा? कौन तेरा हमदर्द होगा? या कौन तेरी तरफ़ आएगा कि तेरी ख़ैर — ओ — 'आफ़ियत पूछे?
6 You have turned away from me, says the Lord, you will go back: therefore I will stretch out my hand, and will destroy you, and will no more spare them.
ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, तूने मुझे छोड़ दिया और नाफ़रमान हो गई, इसलिए मैं तुझ पर अपना हाथ बढ़ाऊँगा और तुझे बर्बाद करूँगा, मैं तो तरस खाते खाते तंग आ गया।
7 And I will completely scatter them; in the gates of my people they are bereaved of children: they have destroyed my people because of their iniquities.
और मैंने उनको मुल्क के फाटकों पर छाज से फटका, मैंने उनके बच्चे छीन लिए, मैंने अपने लोगों को हलाक किया, क्यूँकि वह अपनी राहों से न फिरे।
8 Their widows have been multiplied more than the sand of the sea: I have brought young men against the mother, [even] distress at noon-day: I have suddenly cast upon her trembling and anxiety.
उनकी बेवाएँ मेरे आगे समन्दर की रेत से ज़्यादा हो गईं; मैंने दोपहर के वक़्त जवानों की माँ पर ग़ारतगर को मुसल्लत किया; मैंने उस पर अचानक 'ऐज़ाब — ओ — दहशत को डाल दिया।
9 She that bore seven is spent; her soul has fainted under trouble; her sun is gone down while it is yet noon; she is ashamed and disgraced: I will give the remnant of them to the sword before their enemies.
सात बच्चों की वालिदा निढाल हो गई, उसने जान दे दी; दिन ही को उसका सूरज डूब गया, वह पशेमान और शर्मिंदा हो गई है; ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, मैं उनके बाक़ी लोगों को उनके दुश्मनों के आगे तलवार के हवाले करूँगा।”
10 Woe is me, [my] mother! you have born me as some man of strife, and at variance with the whole earth; I have not helped [others], nor has any one helped me; my strength has failed among them that curse me.
ऐ मेरी माँ, मुझ पर अफ़सोस कि मैं तुझ से तमाम दुनिया कि लिए लड़ाका आदमी और झगड़ालू शख़्स पैदा हुआ! मैंने तो न सूद पर क़र्ज़ दिया और न क़र्ज़ लिया, तो भी उनमें से हर एक मुझ पर ला'नत करता है।
11 Be it so, Lord, in their prosperity; surely I stood before you in the time of their calamities, and in the time of their affliction, for [their] good against the enemy.
ख़ुदावन्द ने फ़रमाया, यक़ीनन मैं तुझे ताक़त बख़्शूँगा कि तेरी ख़ैर हो; यक़ीनन मैं मुसीबत और तंगी के वक़्त दुश्मनों से तेरे सामने इल्तिजा कराऊँगा।
12 Will iron be known? whereas your strength is a brazen covering.
क्या कोई लोहे को या'नी उत्तरी फ़ौलाद और पीतल को तोड़ सकता है?
13 Yes, I will give your treasures for a spoil as a recompence, because of all your sins and [that] in all your borders.
'तेरे माल और तेरे ख़ज़ानों को मुफ़्त लुटवा दूँगा, और यह तेरे सब गुनाहों की वजह से तेरी तमाम सरहदों में होगा।
14 And I will enslave you to your enemies round about, in a land which you have not known; for a fire has been kindled out of my wrath; it shall burn upon you.
और मैं तुझ को तेरे दुश्मनों के साथ ऐसे मुल्क में ले जाऊँगा जिसे तू नहीं जानता, क्यूँकि मेरे ग़ज़ब की आग भड़केगी और तुम को जलाएगी।
15 O Lord, remember me, and visit me, and vindicate me before them that persecute me; do not bear long with them; know how I have met with reproach for your sake, from those who set at nothing your words;
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तू जानता है; मुझे याद फ़रमा और मुझ पर शफ़क़त कर, और मेरे सतानेवालों से मेरा इन्तक़ाम ले। तू बर्दाश्त करते — करते मुझे न उठा ले, जान रख कि मैंने तेरी ख़ातिर मलामत उठाई है।
16 consume them; and your word shall be to me for the joy and gladness of my heart: for your name has been called upon me, O Lord Almighty.
तेरा कलाम मिला और मैंने उसे नोश किया, और तेरी बातें मेरे दिल की ख़ुशी और ख़ुर्रमी थीं; क्यूँकि ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज मैं तेरे नाम से कहलाता हूँ।
17 I have not sat in the assembly of them as they mocked, but I feared because of your power: I sat alone, for I was filled with bitterness.
न मैं ख़ुशी मनानेवालों की महफ़िल में बैठा और न ख़ुश हुआ, तेरे हाथ की वजह से मैं तन्हा बैठा, क्यूँकि तूने मुझे क़हर — से — लबरेज़ कर दिया है।
18 Why do they that grieve me prevail against me? my wound is severe; whence shall I be healed? it is indeed become to me as deceitful water, that has no faithfulness.
मेरा दर्द क्यूँ हमेशा का और मेरा ज़ख़्म क्यूँ ला — 'इलाज है कि सिहत पज़ीर नहीं होता? क्या तू मेरे लिए सरासर धोके की नदी के जैसा हो गया है, उस पानी की तरह जिसको क़याम नहीं?
19 Therefore thus says the Lord, If you will return, then will I restore you, and you shall stand before my face: and if you will bring forth the precious from the worthless, you shall be as my mouth: and they shall return to you; but you shall not return to them.
इसलिए ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है कि अगर तू बाज़ आये तों मैं तुझे फेर लाऊँगा और तू मेरे सामने खड़ा होगा। और अगर तू लतीफ़ को कसीफ़ से जुदा करे, तो तू मेरे मुँह की तरह होगा। वह तेरी तरफ़ फिरें, लेकिन तू उनकी तरफ़ न फिरना।
20 And I will make you to this people as a strong brazen wall; and they shall fight against you, but they shall by no means prevail against you;
और मैं तुझे इन लोगों के सामने पीतल की मज़बूत दीवार ठहराऊँगा; और यह तुझ से लड़ेंगे लेकिन तुझ पर ग़ालिब न आएँगे, क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है मैं तेरे साथ हूँ कि तेरी हिफ़ाज़त करूँ और तुझे रिहाई दूँ।
21 for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you out of the hand of wicked [men]; and I will ransom you out of the hand of pestilent [men].
हाँ, मैं तुझे शरीरों के हाथ से रिहाई दूँगा और ज़ालिमों के पंजे से तुझे छुड़ाऊँगा।
