Esias 57
1 See how the just man has perished, and no one lays [it] to heart: and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers: for the righteous has been removed out of the way of injustice.
Праведний умирає, і немає ніко́го, хто б узяв це до серця, і му́жі побожні беру́ться зо світу, і немає такого, хто б те зрозумів, — що від зла забира́ється праведний з світу!
2 His burial shall be in peace: he has been removed out of the way.
Він відходить із ми́ром; на ло́жах своїх спочивають, хто ходить прямою дорогою.
3 But draw you near hither, you lawless children, the seed of adulterers and the harlot.
Та набли́зьтесь сюди́, ви сини чарівни́ці, насі́ння чужоло́жникове та блудни́ці, —
4 Wherein have you been rioting? and against whom have you opened your mouth, and against whom have you loosed your tongue? are you not children of perdition? a lawless seed?
над ким розкошу́єте ви, над ким розкриваєте ро́та, висовуєте язика́? Хіба ви не діти пере́ступу, насіння брехні,
5 who call upon idols under the leafy trees, slaying your children in the valleys among the rocks?
ви, що па́литесь при́страстю серед дубів, під деревом кожним зеленим, що діте́й над потоками ріжете, під ске́льними щі́линами?
6 That is your portion, this is your lot: and to them have you poured forth drink-offerings, and to these have you offered meat-offerings. Shall I not therefore be angry for these things?
У гладе́ньких камі́ннях потоку твій у́діл, — вони, вони доля твоя! І їм ти лила́ жертву ли́ту, хлібну жертву прино́сила! Чи цим Я заспоко́єний буду?
7 On a lofty and high mountain, there is your bed, and there you carried up your meat-offerings:
На горі на високій та ви́суненій ти поставила ложе своє, і туди ти прихо́диш прино́сити жертви.
8 and behind the posts of your door you did place your memorials. Did you think that if you should depart from me, you would gain? you have loved those that lay with you;
І ти за двери́ма й одві́рком кладеш свого па́м'ятника культово́го, бо ти відступила від Мене, обнажа́єшся й входиш, поши́рюєш ложе своє, і складаєш умову собі з одним з тих, що з ними ти любиш лежати, де місце нагле́диш.
9 and you have multiplied your whoredom with them, and you have increased the number of them that are far from you, and have sent ambassadors beyond your borders, and have been debased even to hell. (Sheol h7585)
І ти до Моло́ха з оливою ходиш, і намно́жуєш масті свої; і посилаєш дале́ко своїх посланці́в, і знижа́єшся аж до шео́лу. (Sheol h7585)
10 You has wearied yourself with your many ways; yet you said not, I will cease to strengthen myself: for you has done these things; therefore you has not supplicated me.
Ти змучувалась на числе́нних доро́гах своїх, але не казала: „Зріка́юсь!“Знайшла ти ожи́влення сили своєї, тому́ не ослабла.
11 Through dread of whom have you feared, and lied against me, and has not remembered, nor considered me, nor regarded me, yes, though when I see you I pass you by, yet you has not feared me.
І за ким побива́лася ти та лякалась, що невірною стала й Мене не згада́ла, не клала на серці своєму? Хіба не тому́, що мовчав Я від віку, то ти не боїшся Мене?
12 And I will declare your righteousness, and your sins, which shall not profit you.
Я ви́явлю про справедливість твою та про вчи́нки твої, — та вони не поможуть тобі!
13 When you cry out, let them deliver you in your affliction: for all these the wind shall take, and the tempest shall carry [them] away: but they that cleave to me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.
Як ти будеш кричати, нехай поряту́є тебе твоя згра́я божкі́в. Але вітер усіх їх розвіє, схопить по́дих; хто ж на Мене надіється, землю вспадку́є й го́ру святую Мою одіди́чить!
14 And they shall say, Clear the ways before him, and take up the stumbling blocks out of the way of my people.
І Він каже: Будуйте дорогу, будуйте дорогу, почистьте дорогу, заберіть перешко́ди з дороги наро́ду Мого́!
15 Thus says the Most High, who dwells on high for ever, Holy in the holies, is his name, the Most High resting in the holies, and giving patience to the faint-hearted, and giving life to the broken-hearted:
Бо так промовляє Високий і Підне́сений, повіки Живущий, і Святий Його Йме́ння: Пробува́ю Я на Височині́ та в святи́ні, і з зла́маним та з упоко́реним, щоб оживля́ти духа скро́мних, і щоб оживля́ти серця згно́блених!
16 I will not take vengeance on you for ever, neither will I be always angry with you: for my Spirit shall go forth from me, and I have created all breath.
Бож не вічно Я буду суди́тись, і не за́вжди Я гні́ватись буду, бо дух з-від обличчя Мого зомлі́в би, та й ду́ші, які Я вчинив.
17 On account of sin for a little while I grieved him, and struck him, and turned away my face from him; and he was grieved, and he went on sorrowful in his ways.
Я гнівався був за гріх користолю́бства його, та й ура́зив його, заховав Я обличчя Своє й лютував, та пішов він, відступний, дорогою серця свого́.
18 I have seen his ways, and healed him, and comforted him, and given him true comfort;
Я бачив доро́ги його, і вздоро́влю його, і його поведу́ й дам потіху для нього й для тих, що суму́ють із ним.
19 peace upon peace to them that are far off, and to them that are near: and the Lord has said, I will heal them.
Створю́ Я плід уст: „Спокій, спо́кій далекому та близько́му!“говорить Господь, і вздоро́влю його.
20 But the unrighteous shall be tossed as troubled waves, and shall not be able to rest.
А ті несправедливі — як море розбу́рхане, коли бути спокі́йним не може воно, і коли во́ди його багно́ й мул викида́ють.
21 There is no joy to the ungodly, said God.
Для безбожних споко́ю немає, говорить Господь!
