Esias 47
1 Come down, sit on the ground, O virgin daughter of Babylon: sit on the ground, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for you shall no more be called tender and luxurious.
Зійди й сядь у по́рох, о діво, до́чко Вавилону! Сядь на землю, без трону, о до́чко халдеїв! Бо кли́кати більше не будуть на тебе: тенди́тна та ви́пещена!
2 Take a millstone, grind meal: remove your veil, uncover your white hairs, make bare the leg, pass through the rivers.
Візьми жо́рна — й муки́ намели́, намі́тку свою відхили́, закача́й но подо́лка та сте́гна відкрий, і бреди́ через рі́ки, —
3 Your shame shall be uncovered, your reproaches shall be brought to light: I will exact of you due vengeance, I will no longer deliver you to men.
і буде твій сором відкритий, і стид твій покажеться! Я по́мсту вчиню, і не бу́ду щади́ти люди́ни!
4 Your deliverer is the Lord of hosts, the Holy One of Israel is his name.
Наш Відкупитель, Господь Савао́т Йому Йме́ння, Святий Ізраїлів.
5 Sit you down pierced with woe, go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: you shall no more be called the strength of a kingdom.
Сиди мо́вчки й ввійди́ до темно́ти, о до́чко халдеїв, бо кликати більше не будуть тебе: Пані царств!
6 I have been provoked with my people; you have defiled mine inheritance: I gave them into your hand, but you did not extend mercy to them: you made the yoke of the aged man very heavy,
Розлю́тився Я на наро́д Свій, збезче́стив спа́дщину Своєю, та й віддав їх у руку твою. Ти не ви́явила милосердя до них: ти над ста́рцем учинила ярмо́ своє дуже тяжки́м,
7 and said, I shall be a princess for ever: you did not perceive these things in your heart, nor did you remember the latter end.
та й сказала: „Навіки я па́нею бу́ду!“І до серця собі не взяла́ тих рече́й, не поду́мала про свій кіне́ць.
8 But now hear these words, you luxurious one, [who are] the one that sits [at ease], that is secure, that says in her heart, I am, and there is not another; I shall not sit a widow, neither shall I know bereavement.
А тепер це послухай, розпе́щена, що безпе́чно сидиш, що гово́риш у серці своїм: „Я, — і більше ніхто! Не буду сидіти вдовою, і не знатиму страти дітей!“
9 But now these two things shall come upon you suddenly in one day, the loss of children and widowhood shall come suddenly upon you, for your sorcery, for the strength of your enchantments,
Та при́йдуть на тебе несподі́вано те й те в один день, страта дітей та вді́вство, вони в повній мірі на тебе спаду́ть при усій многоті́ твоїх ча́рів, при силі великій твоїх заклина́нь!
10 for your trusting in wickedness: for you said, I am, and there is not another: know you, the understanding of these things and your harlotry shall be your shame; for you said in your heart, I am, and there is not another.
Ти ж бо надію складала на зло́бу свою, говорила: „Ніхто не побачить мене!“Звела́ тебе мудрість твоя та знання́ твоє, і сказала ти в серці своїм: „Я, — і більше ніхто!“
11 And destruction shall come upon you, and you shall not be aware; [there shall be a] pit, and you shall fall into it: and grief shall come upon you, and you shall not be able to be clear; and destruction shall come suddenly upon you, and you shall not know.
І при́йде на тебе лихе, що відворожи́ти його ти не зможеш, і на тебе нещастя впаде́, що не зможеш його окупити, і при́йде на тебе рапто́вно спусто́шення, про яке ти не знаєш.
12 Stand now with your enchantments, and with the abundance of your sorcery, which you have learned from your youth; if you can be profited.
Ставай же з своїми закля́ттями та з бе́зліччю ча́рів своїх, якими ти му́чилася від юна́цтва свого́, — може зможеш ти допомогти́, може ти настраха́єш!
13 You are wearied in your counsels. Let now the astrologers of the heaven stand and deliver you, let them that see the stars tell you what is about to come upon you.
Змучилась ти від великої кількости рад своїх, — хай же стануть і хай допомо́жуть тобі ті, хто небо розрі́зує, хто до зір придивля́ється, хто прові́щує кожного місяця, що має на те́бе прийти!
14 Behold, they all shall be burnt up as sticks in the fire; neither shall they at all deliver their life from the flame. Because you have coals of fire, sit you upon them;
Ось стали вони, мов солома: огонь їх попа́лить, — не врятують своєї душі з руки по́лум'я, — це не жар, щоб погріти себе, ані по́лум'я, щоб сидіти біля нього.
15 these shall be your help. You have wearied yourself with traffic from your youth: every man has wandered to his own home, but you shall have no deliverance.
Такими тобі стануть ті, що співпрацюва́ла ти з ними, ворожби́ти твої від юна́цтва твого́, — кожен буде блуди́ти на свій бік, немає нікого, хто б тебе врятував!
