Psalms 25
1 [A Psalm] of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
Salmo de Davi: A ti, SENHOR, levanto minha alma.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Meu Deus, eu confio em ti; não me deixes envergonhado, nem que meus inimigos se alegrem por me [vencerem].
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Certamente todos os que esperam em ti, nenhum será envergonhado; envergonhados serão os que traem sem motivo.
4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Tu me fazes conhecer os teus caminhos; ensina-me teus lugares onde se deve andar.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Guia-me em tua verdade, e ensina-me; porque tu és o Deus de minha salvação; eu espero por ti o dia todo.
6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they [have been] ever of old.
Lembra-te, SENHOR, de tuas misericórdias e de tuas bondades; porque elas são desde a eternidade.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
Não te lembres dos pecados de minha juventude e das minhas transgressões; [mas sim], conforme tua misericórdia, lembra-te de mim por tua bondade, SENHOR.
8 Good and upright [is] the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
O SENHOR é bom e correto; por isso ele ensinará o caminho aos pecadores.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Ele guiará os humildes ao [bom] juízo; e ensinará aos humildes seu caminho.
10 All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Todos os caminhos do SENHOR são bondade e verdade, para aqueles que guardam seu pacto e seus testemunhos.
11 For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it [is] great.
Pelo teu nome, SENHOR, perdoa a minha maldade, porque ela é grande.
12 What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.
Qual é o homem que teme ao SENHOR? Ele lhe ensinará o caminho [que] deve escolher.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
Sua alma habitará no bem; e sua semente [isto é, sua descendência] possuirá a terra em herança.
14 The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
O segredo do SENHOR é para os que o temem; e ele lhes faz conhecer seu pacto.
15 Mine eyes [are] ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
Meus olhos [estão] continuamente [voltados] para o SENHOR, porque ele tirará meus pés da rede de caça.
16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I [am] desolate and afflicted.
Olha para mim, e mim, e tem piedade de mim, porque eu estou solitário e miserável.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: [O] bring thou me out of my distresses.
As aflições de meu coração têm se multiplicado; tira-me de minhas angústias.
18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Presta atenção para minha miséria e meu cansativo trabalho; e tira todos os meus pecados.
19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Presta atenção a meus inimigos, porque eles estão se multiplicando; eles me odeiam com ódio violento.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Guarda minha alma, e livra-me; não me deixes envergonhado, porque eu confio em ti.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Integridade e justiça me guardem, porque eu espero em ti.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Ó Deus, resgata Israel de todas as suas angústias.
