Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
No seas juez de los demás, y no serás juzgado.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Porque como has estado juzgando, así serás juzgado, y con tu medida se te medirá.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
¿Y por qué tomas nota de la paja en el ojo de tu hermano, pero no tomas nota de la viga que está en tu ojo?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?
¿O cómo le dirás a tu hermano: Déjame sacar la paja de tu ojo, cuando tú mismo tienes una viga en tu ojo?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
Hipócrita, primero saca la viga de tu ojo, entonces verás claramente para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
No den lo que es sagrado a los perros, ni pongan sus perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que los mastiquen y los ataquen.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Pidan y se les dará; lo que están buscando lo encontrarán; y él que llama a a la puerta se le abrirá:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Porque a todos los que piden reciben; y el que está buscando encuentra, y al que llama a a la puerta, se le abre.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
¿O quién de ustedes, si su hijo le pide pan, le dará una piedra?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
O si pide un pescado, ¿le dará una serpiente?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Pues si ustedes, siendo malvados, son capaz de dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, ¿cuánto más dará su Padre celestial buenas cosas a los que le pidan algo?
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Entonces, traten a otros, así como ustedes quieran que los traten a ustedes: porque esta es la enseñanza de la ley y los profetas.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Entra por la puerta angosta; porque la puerta es ancha y abierta es el camino que lleva a la destrucción, y muchos son los que entran por ella.
14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Porque estrecha es la puerta y angosto el camino a la vida, y solo pocos son los que la encuentran.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Cuidense de los falsos profetas, que vienen a ustedes con vestiduras de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Por sus frutos los conocerán. ¿Los hombres obtienen uvas de espinas o higos de cardos?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Así, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos; pero el árbol malo da mal fruto.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
No es posible que un buen árbol dé malos frutos, y un árbol malo de buenos frutos.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Todo árbol que no da buen fruto es cortado y puesto en el fuego.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Así que por sus frutos los conocerán.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
No todos los que me dicen: Señor, Señor, entrarán en el reino de los cielos; pero el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en el cielo.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Muchos me dirán en aquel día: Señor, Señor, ¿no fuimos profetas en tu nombre, echamos fuera demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Y entonces les diré: Nunca los conocí; aléjense de mí, obradores del mal.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Entonces, a todos aquellos quienes oyen mis palabras y las hacen, será como un hombre sabio que hizo su casa sobre una roca;
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Y la lluvia descendió, y hubo un torrente de aguas, y los vientos empujaron contra aquella casa, pero no se movió; porque estaba basado en la roca.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Y cualquiera que oye mis palabras y no las hacen, será como un necio que hizo su casa en la arena;
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Y descendió lluvia y hubo un torrente de aguas, y los vientos empujaron contra aquella casa; y descendió y grande fue su caída.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
Y sucedió que cuando Jesús hubo llegado al final de estas palabras, el pueblo se sorprendió de su enseñanza,
29 For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as the scribes.
Porque enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad, y no como sus escribas.
