< Luke 18 >

1 And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
A PIL kotin majani on irail karajeraj eu, me ren poden kapakap o der panada.
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
A kotin majani: Jaunkapun amen mi nan kanim eu, me jota lan Kot, o jota injenoki aramaj amen.
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
A li odi men mi nan kanim ota, me poto don i potoan on: Kom kotin jauaja ia on me kailon kin ia!
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
A a kan maj o, a kadekadeo a monemoneloleki: Nan i jota lan Kot, o pil jota injenoki aramaj,
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
A pweki li odi men et a kadiropa ia. i pan jauaja i. pwender purodo kadiropa ia.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
Kaun o ap kotin majani: Komail ron, me jaunkapun japun indada!
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
A iaduen Kot, a jota pan kotin jauaja japwilim a pilipildar akan, me kin likelikwir on i ni ran o ni pon? Pala a pan kotin pwapwand?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
I indai on komail: nan a pan madan jauaja ir. Ari jo, Nain aramaj lao pwarado, da, a pan diar pojon ni jappa?
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
A pil kotin karajai on irail me kin aka punki pein irail, ap aka japunki me tei kan:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Aramaj riamen kodala on nan im en kaudok pwen kapakap. Amen ira Parijar, a amen jaunopwei men.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Parijar o kajinenda kelepela ekij waja kapakap due met: Main Kot, i danke ir, me i jota dueta aramaj tei kan: Lolap, japun, kamal, de dueta jaunopwei men et.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
I kin kaikaijole pan riapak ni wik eu o koleireki eijokkij eu en ai kapwa karoj.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
A jaunopwei u doo jan ekij waja, ap jota men jarada nanlan, a a pikir maramar a indada: Main Kot, re kotin kupura ia me dipan!
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
I indai on komail, ol men et kodila deu a punala mon me teio. Pwe me kin kajapwilada pein i, pan kajapwilidi, a me kin kajapwilidi pein i pan kajapwilada,
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when [his] disciples saw [it], they rebuked them.
Irail ap wa don i kijin jeri kai, pwen kotin jair ir. A japwilim a tounpadak kan lao kilaner, re ap kapoui irail.
16 But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
A Iejuj kotin molipe ir majani: Mueid on kijin jeri kan, en kodo re i! Der kalik irail edi! Pwe irail me udan wein Kot.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Melel I indai on komail, meamen, me jota ale wein Kot rajon kijin jeri men, a jota pan pedelon on lole.
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
A monjap amen idok re a majani: Jaunpadak mau, da me I en wiada, pwen jojoki maur joutuk? (aiōnios g166)
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none [is] good, save one, [that is], God.
Iejuj ari kotin majani on i: Da me koe indaki, me I me mau? Jota me mau men, Kot eta.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
Koe kin aja kujoned akan: Koe der kamal; koe der kamela aramaj; koe der pirap, koe der kinekine mal, kakaki jam om
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
I ari indada: Nan mepukat karoj i kin wiawia jan ni ai tikitik kokodo.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Iejuj lao mani mepukat, ap majani on i: Me ta kij me lua, netikila om kapwa karoj, o nene on me jamama kan, a om pai pan mi nanlan, ap kodo idauen ia do.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
A lao ronadar met, ap injenjuede kila melel, pwe a kapwapwa kaualap.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
A Iejuj lao kotin majani, me a injenjuedela, ap majani: Nan me apwal on me kapwapwa kan, en pedelon on nan wein Kot.
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Pwe me manai, kamel en tilon nan por en dikok, jan ol kapwapwa men pedelon on nan wein Kot.
26 And they that heard [it] said, Who then can be saved?
Irail me roneron indada: Ari, ij me kak on maur?
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
A kotin majani: Me aramaj akan jo kak on, Kot me pan kak on.
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
Petruj ap potoan on: Re kotin mani, kit me likid maliela meakaroj ap idauen la ir.
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
A kotin majani on irail: Melel I indai on komail, nan jota me likidmaliela im a, de jam, de in a, de ri a ol akan, de a paud, de na jeri kan pweki wein Kot,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
Me jo pan id aneki me lapalap ni anjau wet o ni muei kokodo maur joutuk. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Then he took [unto him] the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
A kotin ukala ekriamen ko majani on irail: Kilan, kitail kin kodalan Ierujalem, o karoj pan pwaida, me intinidier ren jaukop akan duen Nain aramaj.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
Pwe a pan panala ren men liki kan, pwe re pan kapikapiti I o ki jan wau i, o kondipi on i.
33 And they shall scourge [him], and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
O re pan woki i o kamela, a ni kajilu en ran a pan maureda.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
Irail ari jota man weweki mepukat, o majan pot et me rir jan irail. Re pil jaja, me a kotin majani.
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
A kadekadeo ni a koren ion Ieriko, ol majkun amen momod pon kailan al, poekipoeki.
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
I lao ronadar pokon o me daudaulul, ap idok due.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
Irail ari indan i, me Iejuj men Najaret kotin daulul.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, [thou] Son of David, have mercy on me.
I ari nil laudeda potoan on: Iejuj, japwilim en Dawid, kotin kupura ia!
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, [Thou] Son of David, have mercy on me.
A me tion moa kidekidaue i, en nenenla: a i ap kalaudela a poekipoeki: Japwilim en Dawid, kotin kupura ia!
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
Iejuj ap kotin udi on waja o, majani, ol o en wijike don i. A lao koren ion imp a, ap kotin kainoma re a.
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
Majani: Da me koe men, I en wiai on uk? A potoan on: Main, i men potoan narada waja.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
A Iejuj kotin majani on i: Kilan waja, om pojon me kakel uk ada!
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it], gave praise unto God.
Ap pitipit kilanada waja, o idauenla i, o kapina Kot, o aramaj karoj, me udial met, ap kapikapina Kot.
