< John 11 >

1 Now a certain [man] was sick, [named] Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
Sie mukul pangpang Lazarus su muta Bethany, el masak. Bethany pa siti srisrik se ma Mary ac Martha, tamtael lal, muta we.

4 When Jesus heard [that], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Ke Jesus el lohngak el fahk, “Mas se inge tia ma nu ke misa, a ma in nawela God, oayapa Wen nutin God fah eis wolana kac.”
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
Jesus el lungse Martha ac Mary, su ma wial, ac Lazarus.
6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
Tusruktu ke el lohng lah Lazarus el mas, el mutana yen el muta we ke len luo pac.
7 Then after that saith he to [his] disciples, Let us go into Judæa again.
Toko el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Kut folokla nu Judea.”
8 [His] disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
A mwet tumal lutlut elos fahk, “Mwet Luti, in pacl na fototo se somla, mwet in acn we tuh srike in tungal kom. Ya kom nunku kom in folok nu we?”
9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
Jesus el topuk, “Ya tia oasr ao singoul luo ke len se? Ke ma inge kutena mwet su fahsr ke len el ac tia tukulkul, mweyen el liye kalem lun faclu.
10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
A el fin fahsr ke fong el tukulkul, mweyen wangin kalem yorol.”
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
Jesus el fahk ma inge na el sifil fahk, “Lazarus, kawuk lasr, el motulla, tusruktu nga ac som okasulak.”
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
Mwet tumal lutlut elos topuk ac fahk, “Leum, el fin motul, el ac kwela.”
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
Kalmen ma Jesus el fahk uh pa Lazarus el misa, a elos nunku mu el kaskas ke motul in mongla.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
Ke ma inge Jesus el fahkang nu selos ke kas na kalem, “Lazarus el misa,
15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
tusruktu ke sripowos nga wokin lah nga wangin yorol, tuh kowos fah lulalfongi. Kut som nu yorol.”
16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
Thomas (su pangpang Fak) el fahk nu sin mwet lutlut wial, “Fahsru, kut nukewa welul som, tuh kut in wi pacna Mwet Luti misa!”
17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had [lain] in the grave four days already.
Ke Jesus el sun acn we, el lohngak lah Lazarus el pukpuki len akosr lac tari.
18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
Tia sun mael luo Bethany nu Jerusalem,

20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat [still] in the house.
Ke Martha el lohngak lah Jesus el tuku, el illa som in osun nu sel, a Mary el mutana in lohm ah.
21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Martha el fahk nu sel Jesus, “Leum, kom funu oasr inge, mukul se wiuk inge lukun tia misa!
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give [it] thee.
Tusruktu finne inge pacna, nga etu lah God El ac sot nu sum kutena ma kom siyuk sel.”
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Ma wiom el ac sifil moulyak.”
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
Martha el topuk, “Nga etu lah el ac sifil moulyak ke len safla.”
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Nga pa akmoulyauk mwet uh liki misa nu ke moul. Kutena mwet su lulalfongi in nga fah moul, el finne misa.
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (aiōn g165)
Ac kutena mwet su moul ac lulalfongiyu fah tiana misa. Ya kom lulalfongi ma se inge?” (aiōn g165)
27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
Martha el topuk, “Aok, Leum! Nga lulalfongi lah kom pa Christ, Wen nutin God, el su God El wulela kac mu ac tuku nu faclu.”
28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
Tukun Martha el fahk ma inge, el folokla ac mahma nu sel Mary, tamtael lal, ac fahk, “Mwet Luti el oasr inge, ac el siyuk kom.”
29 As soon as she heard [that], she arose quickly, and came unto him.
Ke Mary el lohng, el tuyak ac sulaklak som in osun nu sel. (
30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
Jesus el soenna tuku nu yen mwet uh walil we, a el srakna oasr yen se Martha el sonol we ah.)
31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.
Mwet ma muta lohm ah yorol Mary in akpwaryal, ke elos liye lah el tuyak ac sulaklak tufoki som, elos ukwalla mweyen elos nunku mu el ac som in tung ke kulyuk ah.
32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Mary el tuku nu yen Jesus el muta we, na ke el liyalak Jesus, el putati nu ke nial ac fahk, “Leum, kom funu muta inge, mukul se wiuk inge lukun tia misa!”
33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
Jesus el liye lah el tung, oayapa mwet ma welul elos wi pac tung, na insial arulana asor ac el liksreni na oela.
34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
El siyuk selos, “Kowos piknilya oya?” Elos topuk, “Leum, fahsru liye.”
35 Jesus wept.
Jesus el tung.
36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
Ac mwet uh fahk, “Liye lupan nunak lal kacl!”
37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
A kutu selos fahk, “El tuh sang liyaten nu sin mwet kun sac, na efu ku elan kofla in oru tuh Lazarus elan tia misa?”
38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
Jesus el srakna asor yohk, na el som nu ke kulyuk ah, sie luf oan pe eol ah ac eot se itukyang kosrala mutun luf sac.
39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been [dead] four days.
Jesus el fahk, “Eisla eot sacn!” Martha, su ma wien mas sac, el fahk, “Leum, ac arulana koluk fohlo, mweyen el pukpuki len akosr lac!”
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Mea, nga tia fahk nu sum tari lah kom fin lulalfongi kom ac liye wolana lun God?”
41 Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
Elos eisla eot sac nu saya. Na Jesus el ngetak nu lucng ac fahk, “Papa, nga kulo nu sum tuh kom porongeyu.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said [it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
Nga etu lah kom porongeyu pacl nukewa, tusruktu nga fahk ma inge tuh mwet inge in lulalfongi lah kom supweyume.”
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
Tukun el fahk ma inge, el pang ke pusra lulap, “Lazarus, ilme!”
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Na el ilme. Paol ac nial srakna pihpla ke nuknuk in misa, ac ipin nuknuk se pwelah mutal. Jesus el fahk nu selos, “Tulala nuknuk in misa lal lukel, ac lela elan som.”
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
Mwet puspis sin mwet Jew ma tuku nu yorol Mary elos liye ma Jesus el oru, ac elos lulalfongi kacl.
46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
Tusruktu kutu selos folokla nu yurin mwet Pharisee ac fahkak nu selos ma Jesus el oru.
47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

Kut fin fuhlela elan oru na lumah inge, mwet nukewa ac lulalfongel lac, ac mwet leum lun acn Rome elos ac sroang nu kac, ac kunausla Tempul lasr oayapa mutunfacl sesr.”
49 And one of them, [named] Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
Sie selos pangpang Caiaphas, su tuh Mwet Tol Fulat ke yac sac, el fahk, “Efu kowos ku lalfon fuk?
50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
Tukun len sac lac, mwet fulat lun mwet Jew elos suk na oreya in unilya Jesus.
54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
Ke ma inge Jesus el tia sifil fahsr lemtulauk inmasrlon mwet Jew, a el som nu ke sie acn apkuran nu yen mwesis, nu ke sie siti srisrik pangpang Ephraim, ac el muta we yurin mwet tumal lutlut.
55 And the Jews’ passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?
Elos sokol Jesus, ac ke elos tukeni in Tempul elos asiyuki sie sin sie, “Mea kowos nunku? El ac tuku nu ke kufwa uh ku tia?”
57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew [it], that they might take him.
Mwet tol fulat ac mwet Pharisee elos sapkin mu kutena mwet fin etu acn Jesus el oasr we, elan tuku akkalemye tuh elos in sruokilya.
