Genesis 36
1 Now these [are] the generations of Esau, who [is] Edom.
Und dies sind die Geburten Esaus, das ist Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
Esau nahm seine Weiber von den Töchtern Kanaans: Adah, die Tochter Elons, des Chethiters und Oholibamah, Tochter Anahs, Tochter des Zibeon, des Chiviters.
3 And Bashemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth.
Und Basemath eine Tochter Ismaels, Schwester des Nabajoth.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;
Und Adah gebar dem Esau Eliphas und Basemath gebar Reguel.
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these [are] the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
Und Oholibamah gebar Jeusch und Jaelam und Korach. Dies sind die Söhne Esaus, die ihm im Lande Kanaan geboren wurden.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.
Und Esau nahm seine Weiber und seine Söhne und sein Töchter und alle Seelen seines Hauses, und sein Besitztum und all sein Vieh, und all sein Erkauftes, das er im Lande Kanaan gewonnen, und ging in ein Land, hinweg von Jakob, seinem Bruder.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.
Denn ihrer Habe war zu viel, als daß sie beisammen hätten wohnen können; und das Land ihrer Wanderungen vermochte nicht, wegen ihrer Viehherden sie zu tragen.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau [is] Edom.
Und Esau wohnte auf dem Berge Seir; Esau, das ist Edom.
9 And these [are] the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
Und dies sind die Geburten Esaus, des Vaters von Edom auf dem Berge Seir.
10 These [are] the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.
Dies sind die Namen der Söhne Esaus: Eliphas, Sohn von Adah, Esaus Weib; Reguel, Sohn von Basemath, Esaus Weib.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
Und die Söhne des Eliphas waren Theman, Omar, Zepho und Gaetham und Kenas.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these [were] the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.
Und Thimna war Kebsweib des Eliphas, des Sohnes Esaus, und gebar dem Eliphas Amalek. Dies sind die Söhne von Adah, Esaus Weib.
13 And these [are] the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.
Und das sind die Söhne Reguels: Nachath und Serach, Schammah und Missah. Dies waren die Söhne Basemaths, Esaus Weib.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
Und dies waren die Söhne Oholibamahs, der Tochter Anahs, der Tochter Zibeons, Esaus Weib. Und sie gebar dem Esau Jeusch und Jaelam und Korach.
15 These [were] dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn [son] of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
Dies waren die Stammhäupter der Söhne Esaus: Die Söhne von Eliphas, dem Erstgeborenen Esaus: das Stammhaupt Theman, das Stammhaupt Omar, das Stammhaupt Zepho, das Stammhaupt Kenas.
16 Duke Korah, duke Gatam, [and] duke Amalek: these [are] the dukes [that came] of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these [were] the sons of Adah.
Das Stammhaupt Korach, das Stammhaupt Gaetham, das Stammhaupt Amalek. Dies die Stammhäupter des Eliphas im Lande Edom. Dies sind die Söhne Adahs.
17 And these [are] the sons of Reuel Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these [are] the dukes [that came] of Reuel in the land of Edom; these [are] the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.
Und das sind die Söhne Reguels, des Sohnes Esaus: Das Stammhaupt Nachath, das Stammhaupt Serach, das Stammhaupt Schammah, das Stammhaupt Missah. Dies sind die Stammhäupter Reguels im Lande Edom. Dies die Söhne von Basemath, Esaus Weib.
18 And these [are] the sons of Aholibamah Esau’s wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these [were] the dukes [that came] of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
Und das sind die Söhne Oholibamahs, Esaus Weib: Das Stammhaupt Jeusch, das Stammhaupt Jaelam, das Stammhaupt Korach. Dies die Stammhäupter Oholibamahs, der Tochter Anahs, Esaus Weib.
19 These [are] the sons of Esau, who [is] Edom, and these [are] their dukes.
Das sind die Söhne Esaus, und das ihre Stammhäupter, er ist Edom.
20 These [are] the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
Das sind die Söhne Seirs, des Horiten, die das Land bewohnen: Lotan und Schobal und Zibeon und Anah.
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these [are] the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
Und Dischon und Ezer und Dischan. Dies die Stammhäupter des Horiten, die Söhne Seirs im Lande Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister [was] Timna.
Und Lotans Söhne waren Hori und Hemam und die Schwester Lotans war Thimna.
23 And the children of Shobal [were] these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
Und das sind die Söhne Schobals: Alwan, und Manachath, und Ebal, Schepho und Onam.
24 And these [are] the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this [was that] Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
Und das sind die Söhne Zibeons: Ajah, und Anah. Dies ist der Anah, der in der Wüste die Maulesel fand, als er die Esel seines Vaters Zibeon weidete.
25 And the children of Anah [were] these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
Und das sind die Söhne Anahs: Dischon und Oholibamah war Anahs Tochter.
26 And these [are] the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Und das sind die Söhne Dischons: Chemdan und Eschban, und Jithran und Cheran.
27 The children of Ezer [are] these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
Das sind die Söhne Ezers: Bilhan und Saawan und Akan.
28 The children of Dishan [are] these; Uz, and Aran.
Das sind die Söhne Dischans: Uz und Aran.
29 These [are] the dukes [that came] of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,
Das sind die Stammhäupter des Horiten: Das Stammhaupt Lotan, das Stammhaupt Schobal das Stammhaupt Zibeon, das Stammhaupt Anah.
30 Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these [are] the dukes [that came] of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.
Das Stammhaupt Dischon, das Stammhaupt Ezer, das Stammhaupt Dischan: Dies die Stammhäupter des Horiten nach ihren Stammhäuptern im Lande Seir.
31 And these [are] the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
Und das sind die Könige, die im Lande Edom regierten, ehe ein König über die Söhne Israel regierte.
32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city [was] Dinhabah.
Und in Edom regierte Bela, der Sohn Beors, und der Name seiner Stadt war Dinhabah.
33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
Und Bela starb, und an seiner Statt regierte Jobab, der Sohn Serachs aus Bozrah.
34 And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.
Und Jobab starb, und statt seiner regierte Chuscham aus dem Lande der Themaniter.
35 And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city [was] Avith.
Und Chuscham starb, und an seiner Statt regierte Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, der Midjan schlug in dem Gefilde Moabs, und der Name seiner Stadt war Awith.
36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
Und Hadad starb, und es regierte an seiner Statt Samlah aus Masrekah.
37 And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth [by] the river reigned in his stead.
Und Samlah starb, und an seiner Statt regierte Schaul aus Rechoboth am Flusse.
38 And Saul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
Und Schaul starb, und es regierte statt seiner Baal Chanan, der Sohn Achbors.
39 And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city [was] Pau; and his wife’s name [was] Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
Und Baal Chanan, der Sohn Achbors, starb, und es regierte statt seiner Hadar, und der Name seiner Stadt war Pau, und der Name seines Weibes war Mehetabeel, Tochter der Matred, die eine Tochter Mesahabs war.
40 And these [are] the names of the dukes [that came] of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,
Und das sind die Namen der Stammhäupter Esaus nach ihren Familien, nach ihren Orten, bei ihren Namen: Stammhaupt Thimna, Stammhaupt Alwah, Stammhaupt Jetheth.
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
Stammhaupt Oholibamah, Stammhaupt Elah, Stammhaupt Pinon.
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
Stammhaupt Kenas, Stammhaupt Theman, Stammhaupt Mibzar.
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these [be] the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he [is] Esau the father of the Edomites.
Stammhaupt Magdiel, Stammhaupt Iram. Dies sind die Stammhäupter Edoms nach ihren Wohnsitzen in dem Lande ihres Eigentums. Das ist Esau, der Vater Edoms.
