Ezekiel 38
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto contra Gogue, da terra de Magogue, príncipe-chefe de Meseque e Tubal, e profetiza contra ele.
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
E dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó Gogue, príncipe-chefe de Meseque e de Tubal.
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
E eu te farei virar, e porei anzóis em tuas queixos, e te levarei com todo o teu exército, cavalos e cavaleiros, todos eles vestidos com armadura completa, uma grande multidão com escudos pequenos e grandes, todos eles manejando espada;
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Persas, cuxitas, e os de Pute com eles; todos eles [com] escudo e capacete;
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee.
Gômer, e todas as suas tropas; a casa de Togarma, dos lados do norte, e todas as suas tropas; muitos povos contigo.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
Prepara-te, e apronta-te, tu, e toda as tuas multidões que se juntaram a ti, e sê tu guardião delas.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land [that is] brought back from the sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
Depois de muitos dias serás tu visitado; ao fim de anos virás à terra que foi restaurada da espada, ajuntada de muitos povos, aos montes de Israel, que sempre serviram de assolação; mas aquele [povo] foi trazido das nações, e todos eles habitarão em segurança.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
Então tu subirás, virás como uma tempestade devastadora; serás como nuvem para cobrir a terra, tu, todas as tuas tropas, e muitos povos contigo.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: E será naquele dia, que subirão palavras em teu coração, e pensarás mau pensamento;
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
E dirás: Subirei contra terra das aldeias sem muros, virei contra os que estão em repouso, que habitam em segurança, todos eles habitam sem muros, não têm ferrolhos nem portas;
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
Para tomar despojo e para saquear presa; para virar tua mão contra as terras desertas [que agora] estão habitadas, e contra o povo que foi ajuntado das nações, que é dono de gados e de posses, que mora no meio da terra.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
Seba, Dedã, os mercadores de Társis, e todos seus filhotes de leões te dirão: Por acaso vens para tomar despojos? Reuniste tua multidão para saquear presa, para lavar prata e ouro, para tomar gados e posses, para tomar grandes despojos?
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]?
Portanto profetiza, ó filho do homem, e dize a Gogue: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Por acaso naquele dia, quando meu povo Israel habitar em segurança, tu não o reconhecerás?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
Virás, pois, de teu lugar, das regiões do norte, tu e muitos povos contigo, todos eles a cavalo, uma grande reunião, e imenso exército;
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
E subirás contra meu povo Israel como uma nuvem para cobrir a terra; [isto] será no fim dos dias; então eu te trarei contra minha terra, para que as nações me conheçam, quando eu houver me santificado em ti, ó Gogue, diante de seus olhos.
17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; [Art] thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days [many] years that I would bring thee against them?
Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Não és tu aquele de quem eu disse nos tempos passados, por meio dos meus servos, os profetas de Israel, que naqueles dias profetizaram [vários] anos que eu te traria contra eles?
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, [that] my fury shall come up in my face.
Porém será naquele tempo, quando Gogue vier contra a terra de Israel, diz o Senhor DEUS, que minha fúria subirá ao meu rosto.
19 For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
Porque falei em meu zelo, no fogo de minha ira, que naquele dia haverá grande tremor sobre a terra de Israel;
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
[De tal maneira] que diante de mim tremerão os peixes do mar, as aves do céu, os animais do campo, todos os répteis andam se arrastrando sobre a terra, e todos os seres humanos que estão sobre a face da terra; e os montes serão derrubados, os precipícios cairão, e todos os muros cairão por terra.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
Pois chamarei contra ele a espada em todos os meus montes, diz o Senhor DEUS; a espada de cada um será contra seu irmão.
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
E disputarei contra ele com pestilência e com sangue; e farei haver uma grande pancada de chuva, grandes pedras de granizo, fogo e enxofre sobre ele, sobre suas tropas, e sobre os muitos povos que estiverem com ele.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.
Assim me engrandecerei e me santificarei, e serei conhecido em olhos de muitas nações; e saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.
