Colossians 4
1 Masters, give unto [your] servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
Ihr HERREN, was recht und gleich ist, das beweiset den Knechten und wisset, daß ihr auch einen HERRN im Himmel habt.
2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Haltet an am Gebet und wachet in demselbigen mit Danksagung!
3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
Und betet zugleich auch für uns, auf daß Gott uns die Tür des Worts auftue, zu reden das Geheimnis Christi, darum ich auch gebunden bin,
4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
auf daß ich dasselbige offenbare, wie ich soll reden.
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
Wandelt weislich gegen die, die draußen sind, und schicket euch in die Zeit!
6 Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Eure Rede sei allezeit lieblich und mit Salz gewürzet, daß ihr wisset, wie ihr einem jeglichen antworten sollt.
7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, [who is] a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
Wie es um mich stehet, wird euch alles kundtun Tychikus, der liebe Bruder und getreue Diener und Mitknecht in dem HERRN,
8 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
welchen ich habe darum zu euch gesandt, daß er erfahre, wie es sich mit euch verhält, und daß er eure Herzen ermahne,
9 With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is [one] of you. They shall make known unto you all things which [are done] here.
samt Onesimus, dem getreuen und lieben Bruder, welcher von den Euren ist. Alles, wie es hier zustehet, werden sie euch kundtun.
10 Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him; )
Es grüßet euch Aristarchus, mein Mitgefangener, und Markus, der Neffe Barnabas, von welchem ihr etliche Befehle empfangen habt (so er zu euch kommt, nehmet ihn auf);
11 And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only [are my] fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
Und Jesus, der da heißt Just, die aus der Beschneidung sind. Diese sind allein meine Gehilfen am Reich Gottes, die mir ein Trost worden sind.
12 Epaphras, who is [one] of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Es grüßet euch Epaphras, der von den Euren ist, ein Knecht Christi, und allezeit ringet für euch mit Gebeten, auf daß ihr bestehet vollkommen und erfüllet mit allem Willen Gottes.
13 For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them [that are] in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
Ich gebe ihm Zeugnis, daß er großen Fleiß hat um euch und um die zu Laodicea und zu Hierapolis.
14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
Es grüßet euch Lukas, der Arzt, der Geliebte, und Demas.
15 Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
Grüßet die Brüder zu Laodicea und den, Nymphas und die Gemeinde in seinem Hause.
16 And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the [epistle] from Laodicea.
Und wenn der Brief bei euch gelesen ist, so schaffet, daß er auch in der Gemeinde zu Laodicea gelesen werde, und daß ihr den von Laodicea leset.
17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
Und saget dem Archippus: Siehe auf das Amt, das du empfangen hast in dem HERRN, daß du dasselbige ausrichtest!
18 The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace [be] with you. Amen.
Mein Gruß mit meiner, des Paulus, Hand. Gedenket meiner Bande! Die Gnade sei mit euch! Amen.
