2 Thessalonians 3

1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have [free] course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you:

Por lo demás, hermanos míos, oren por nosotros para que la palabra del Señor avance con mayor gloria;

2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all [men] have not faith.

Y para que seamos liberados de los hombres necios y malvados; porque no todos tienen fe.

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.

Pero el Señor es verdadero, quien les dará fortaleza y los mantendrá a salvo del mal.

4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

Y tenemos fe en el Señor acerca de ustedes, que están haciendo y harán las cosas que les hemos mandado.

5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Y que sus corazones sean guiados por el Señor para que comprendan que profundo es el amor de Dios por ustedes y a la paciencia de Cristo.

6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Ahora les damos órdenes, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, para mantenernos alejados de todos aquellos cuyo comportamiento no está bien ordenado y en armonía con la enseñanza que recibieron de nosotros.

7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

Ustedes mismos están acostumbrados a tomarnos como ejemplo, porque nuestra vida entre ustedes fue gobernada por orden,

8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

Y no tomamos comida de ningún hombre por nada, sino que trabajamos duro noche y día para no ser una carga a ninguno de ustedes:

9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

No porque no tengamos el derecho, sino para convertirnos en un ejemplo para que ustedes puedan hacer lo mismo.

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Porque aun cuando estábamos con ustedes, les dimos órdenes, diciendo: Si alguno no quisiera trabajar, que tampoco coma.

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Porque ha llegado a nuestros oídos que hay algunos entre ustedes cuyo comportamiento es descontrolado, que no trabajan en absoluto, pero están demasiado interesados en los asuntos de los demás.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

Ahora, a los tales, damos órdenes y exhortamos pedimos en el Señor Jesús que, trabajen tranquilamente, y para ganarse la vida.

13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

Y ustedes, mis hermanos, no se cansen de hacer el bien.

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

Y si alguno no presta atención a lo que hemos dicho en esta carta, toma nota de ese hombre, y aléjate de él, para que se avergüence.

15 Yet count [him] not as an enemy, but admonish [him] as a brother.

No lo tengan por enemigo, pero corríjanlo como hermano.

16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.

Ahora el Señor de la paz mismo te dará paz en todo tiempo y en todo sentido. Que el Señor esté con todos ustedes.

17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

Estas palabras de amor para ustedes al final están en mi puño y letra, así firmo todas mis cartas, y esta es la marca de cada carta mía.

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.

La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos ustedes.
