1 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians [which is] in God the Father and [in] the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

පෞලඃ සිල්වානස්තීමථියශ්ච පිතුරීශ්වරස්‍ය ප්‍රභෝ ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය චාශ්‍රයං ප්‍රාප්තා ථිෂලනීකීයසමිතිං ප්‍රති පත්‍රං ලිඛන්ති| අස්මාකං තාත ඊශ්වරඃ ප්‍රභු ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටශ්ච යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රත්‍යනුග්‍රහං ශාන්තිඤ්ච ක්‍රියාස්තාං|

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

වයං සර්ව්වේෂාං යුෂ්මාකං කෘතේ ඊශ්වරං ධන්‍යං වදාමඃ ප්‍රාර්ථනාසමයේ යුෂ්මාකං නාමෝච්චාරයාමඃ,

3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

අස්මාකං තාතස්‍යේශ්වරස්‍ය සාක්‍ෂාත් ප්‍රභෞ යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේ යුෂ්මාකං විශ්වාසේන යත් කාර‍්‍ය්‍යං ප්‍රේම්නා යඃ පරිශ්‍රමඃ ප්‍රත්‍යාශයා ච යා තිතික්‍ෂා ජායතේ

4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

තත් සර්ව්වං නිරන්තරං ස්මරාමශ්ච| හේ පියභ්‍රාතරඃ, යූයම් ඊශ්වරේණාභිරුචිතා ලෝකා ඉති වයං ජානීමඃ|

5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

යතෝ(අ)ස්මාකං සුසංවාදඃ කේවලශබ්දේන යුෂ්මාන් න ප්‍රවිශ්‍ය ශක්ත්‍යා පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා මහෝත්සාහේන ච යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රාවිශත්| වයන්තු යුෂ්මාකං කෘතේ යුෂ්මන්මධ්‍යේ කීදෘශා අභවාම තද් යුෂ්මාභි ර්ඥායතේ|

6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

යූයමපි බහුක්ලේශභෝගේන පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා දත්තේනානන්දේන ච වාක්‍යං ගෘහීත්වාස්මාකං ප්‍රභෝශ්චානුගාමිනෝ(අ)භවත|

7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

තේන මාකිදනියාඛායාදේශයෝ ර‍්‍යාවන්තෝ විශ්වාසිනෝ ලෝකාඃ සන්ති යූයං තේෂාං සර්ව්වේෂාං නිදර්ශනස්වරූපා ජාතාඃ|

8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

යතෝ යුෂ්මත්තඃ ප්‍රතිනාදිතයා ප්‍රභෝ ර්වාණ්‍යා මාකිදනියාඛායාදේශෞ ව්‍යාප්තෞ කේවලමේතන්නහි කින්ත්වීශ්වරේ යුෂ්මාකං යෝ විශ්වාසස්තස්‍ය වාර්ත්තා සර්ව්වත්‍රාශ්‍රාවි, තස්මාත් තත්‍ර වාක්‍යකථනම් අස්මාකං නිෂ්ප්‍රයෝජනං|

9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

යතෝ යුෂ්මන්මධ්‍යේ වයං කීදෘශං ප්‍රවේශං ප්‍රාප්තා යූයඤ්ච කථං ප්‍රතිමා විහායේශ්වරං ප්‍රත්‍යාවර්ත්තධ්වම් අමරං සත්‍යමීශ්වරං සේවිතුං

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, [even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

මෘතගණමධ්‍යාච්ච තේනෝත්ථාපිතස්‍ය පුත්‍රස්‍යාර්ථත ආගාමික්‍රෝධාද් අස්මාකං නිස්තාරයිතු ර‍්‍යීශෝඃ ස්වර්ගාද් ආගමනං ප්‍රතීක්‍ෂිතුම් ආරභධ්වම් ඒතත් සර්ව්වං තේ ලෝකාඃ ස්වයම් අස්මාන් ඥාපයන්ති|
