1 Peter 1
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
පන්ත-ගාලාතියා-කප්පදකියා-ආශියා-බිථුනියාදේශේෂු ප්‍රවාසිනෝ යේ විකීර්ණලෝකාඃ
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
පිතුරීශ්වරස්‍ය පූර්ව්වනිර්ණයාද් ආත්මනඃ පාවනේන යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යාඥාග්‍රහණාය ශෝණිතප්‍රෝක්‍ෂණාය චාභිරුචිතාස්තාන් ප්‍රති යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය ප්‍රේරිතඃ පිතරඃ පත්‍රං ලිඛති| යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රති බාහුල්‍යේන ශාන්තිරනුග්‍රහශ්ච භූයාස්තාං|
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
අස්මාකං ප්‍රභෝ ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය තාත ඊශ්වරෝ ධන්‍යඃ, යතඃ ස ස්වකීයබහුකෘපාතෝ මෘතගණමධ්‍යාද් යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යෝත්ථානේන ජීවනප්‍රත්‍යාශාර්ථම් අර්ථතෝ
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
(අ)ක්‍ෂයනිෂ්කලඞ්කාම්ලානසම්පත්තිප්‍රාප්ත්‍යර්ථම් අස්මාන් පුන ර්ජනයාමාස| සා සම්පත්තිඃ ස්වර්ගේ (අ)ස්මාකං කෘතේ සඤ්චිතා තිෂ්ඨති,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
යූයඤ්චේශ්වරස්‍ය ශක්තිතඃ ශේෂකාලේ ප්‍රකාශ්‍යපරිත්‍රාණාර්ථං විශ්වාසේන රක්‍ෂ්‍යධ්වේ|
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
තස්මාද් යූයං යද්‍යප්‍යානන්දේන ප්‍රඵුල්ලා භවථ තථාපි සාම්ප්‍රතං ප්‍රයෝජනහේතෝඃ කියත්කාලපර‍්‍ය්‍යන්තං නානාවිධපරීක්‍ෂාභිඃ ක්ලිශ්‍යධ්වේ|
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
යතෝ වහ්නිනා යස්‍ය පරීක්‍ෂා භවති තස්මාත් නශ්වරසුවර්ණාදපි බහුමූල්‍යං යුෂ්මාකං විශ්වාසරූපං යත් පරීක්‍ෂිතං ස්වර්ණං තේන යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යාගමනසමයේ ප්‍රශංසායාඃ සමාදරස්‍ය ගෞරවස්‍ය ච යෝග්‍යතා ප්‍රාප්තව්‍යා|
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
යූයං තං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටම් අදෘෂ්ට්වාපි තස්මින් ප්‍රීයධ්වේ සාම්ප්‍රතං තං න පශ්‍යන්තෝ(අ)පි තස්මින් විශ්වසන්තෝ (අ)නිර්ව්වචනීයේන ප්‍රභාවයුක්තේන චානන්දේන ප්‍රඵුල්ලා භවථ,
9 Receiving the end of your faith, [even] the salvation of [your] souls.
ස්වවිශ්වාසස්‍ය පරිණාමරූපම් ආත්මනාං පරිත්‍රාණං ලභධ්වේ ච|
10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you:
යුෂ්මාසු යෝ (අ)නුග්‍රහෝ වර්ත්තතේ තද්විෂයේ ය ඊශ්වරීයවාක්‍යං කථිතවන්තස්තේ භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනස්තස්‍ය පරිත්‍රාණස්‍යාන්වේෂණම් අනුසන්ධානඤ්ච කෘතවන්තඃ|
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
විශේෂතස්තේෂාමන්තර්ව්වාසී යඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යාත්මා ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේ වර්ත්තිෂ්‍යමාණානි දුඃඛානි තදනුගාමිප්‍රභාවඤ්ච පූර්ව්වං ප්‍රාකාශයත් තේන කඃ කීදෘශෝ වා සමයෝ නිරදිශ්‍යතෛතස්‍යානුසන්ධානං කෘතවන්තඃ|
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
තතස්තෛ ර්විෂයෛස්තේ යන්න ස්වාන් කින්ත්වස්මාන් උපකුර්ව්වන්ත්‍යේතත් තේෂාං නිකටේ ප්‍රාකාශ්‍යත| යාංශ්ච තාන් විෂයාන් දිව්‍යදූතා අප්‍යවනතශිරසෝ නිරීක්‍ෂිතුම් අභිලෂන්ති තේ විෂයාඃ සාම්ප්‍රතං ස්වර්ගාත් ප්‍රේෂිතස්‍ය පවිත්‍රස්‍යාත්මනඃ සහාය්‍යාද් යුෂ්මත්සමීපේ සුසංවාදප්‍රචාරයිතෘභිඃ ප්‍රාකාශ්‍යන්ත|
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
අතඒව යූයං මනඃකටිබන්ධනං කෘත්වා ප්‍රබුද්ධාඃ සන්තෝ යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය ප්‍රකාශසමයේ යුෂ්මාසු වර්ත්තිෂ්‍යමානස්‍යානුග්‍රහස්‍ය සම්පූර්ණාං ප්‍රත්‍යාශාං කුරුත|
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
අපරං පූර්ව්වීයාඥානතාවස්ථායාඃ කුත්සිතාභිලාෂාණාං යෝග්‍යම් ආචාරං න කුර්ව්වන්තෝ යුෂ්මදාහ්වානකාරී යථා පවිත්‍රෝ (අ)ස්ති
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
යූයමප්‍යාඥාග්‍රාහිසන්තානා ඉව සර්ව්වස්මින් ආචාරේ තාදෘක් පවිත්‍රා භවත|
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
යතෝ ලිඛිතම් ආස්තේ, යූයං පවිත්‍රාස්තිෂ්ඨත යස්මාදහං පවිත්‍රඃ|
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear:
අපරඤ්ච යෝ විනාපක්‍ෂපාතම් ඒකෛකමානුෂස්‍ය කර්ම්මානුසාරාද් විචාරං කරෝති ස යදි යුෂ්මාභිස්තාත ආඛ්‍යායතේ තර්හි ස්වප්‍රවාසස්‍ය කාලෝ යුෂ්මාභි ර්භීත්‍යා යාප්‍යතාං|
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;
යූයං නිරර්ථකාත් පෛතෘකාචාරාත් ක්‍ෂයණීයෛ රූප්‍යසුවර්ණාදිභි ර්මුක්තිං න ප්‍රාප්‍ය
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
නිෂ්කලඞ්කනිර්ම්මලමේෂශාවකස්‍යේව ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය බහුමූල්‍යේන රුධිරේණ මුක්තිං ප්‍රාප්තවන්ත ඉති ජානීථ|
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
ස ජගතෝ භිත්තිමූලස්ථාපනාත් පූර්ව්වං නියුක්තඃ කින්තු චරමදිනේෂු යුෂ්මදර්ථං ප්‍රකාශිතෝ (අ)භවත්|
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
යතස්තේනෛව මෘතගණාත් තස්‍යෝත්ථාපයිතරි තස්මෛ ගෞරවදාතරි චේශ්වරේ විශ්වසිථ තස්මාද් ඊශ්වරේ යුෂ්මාකං විශ්වාසඃ ප්‍රත්‍යාශා චාස්තේ|
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:
යූයම් ආත්මනා සත්‍යමතස්‍යාඥාග්‍රහණද්වාරා නිෂ්කපටාය භ්‍රාතෘප්‍රේම්නේ පාවිතමනසෝ භූත්වා නිර්ම්මලාන්තඃකරණෛඃ පරස්පරං ගාඪං ප්‍රේම කුරුත|
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
යස්මාද් යූයං ක්‍ෂයණීයවීර‍්‍ය්‍යාත් නහි කින්ත්වක්‍ෂයණීයවීර‍්‍ය්‍යාද් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය ජීවනදායකේන නිත්‍යස්ථායිනා වාක්‍යේන පුනර්ජන්ම ගෘහීතවන්තඃ| (aiōn g165)
24 For all flesh [is] as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
සර්ව්වප්‍රාණී තෘණෛස්තුල්‍යස්තත්තේජස්තෘණපුෂ්පවත්| තෘණානි පරිශුෂ්‍යති පුෂ්පාණි නිපතන්ති ච|
