Psalms 4
1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
聖歌隊の指揮者によって琴にあわせてうたわせたダビデの歌 わたしの義を助け守られる神よ、わたしが呼ばわる時、お答えください。あなたはわたしが悩んでいた時、わたしをくつろがせてくださいました。わたしをあわれみ、わたしの祈をお聞きください。
2 O all of you sons of men, how long will all of you turn my glory into shame? how long will all of you love vanity, and seek after leasing? (Selah)
人の子らよ、いつまでわたしの誉をはずかしめるのか。いつまでむなしい言葉を愛し、偽りを慕い求めるのか。 (セラ)
3 But know that the LORD has set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
しかしあなたがたは知るがよい、主は神を敬う人をご自分のために聖別されたことを。主はわたしが呼ばわる時におききくださる。
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
あなたがたは怒っても、罪を犯してはならない。床の上で静かに自分の心に語りなさい。 (セラ)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
義のいけにえをささげて主に寄り頼みなさい。
6 There be many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift you up the light of your countenance upon us.
多くの人は言う、「どうか、わたしたちに良い事が見られるように。主よ、どうか、み顔の光をわたしたちの上に照されるように」と。
7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
あなたがわたしの心にお与えになった喜びは、穀物と、ぶどう酒の豊かな時の喜びにまさるものでした。
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.
わたしは安らかに伏し、また眠ります。主よ、わたしを安らかにおらせてくださるのは、ただあなただけです。
