Psalms 145
1 I will extol you, my God, O king; and I will bless your name for ever and ever.
Cantique de louanges. De David. Je l'exalterai, ô mon Dieu, ô mon Roi! et je bénirai ton nom toujours, à jamais.
2 Every day will I bless you; and I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Chaque jour je te bénirai, et je louerai ton nom éternellement, à jamais.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
L'Éternel est grand et très glorieux, et sa grandeur est incommensurable.
4 One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
Qu'un âge à l'autre âge annonce tes œuvres, et publie tes exploits!
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of your majesty, and of your wondrous works.
C'est la glorieuse majesté de ta magnificence, ce sont tes merveilles que je veux méditer.
6 And men shall speak of the might of your terrible acts: and I will declare your greatness.
Qu'on redise la puissance de tes exploits terribles, et je veux raconter ta grandeur!
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of your great goodness, and shall sing of your righteousness.
Que l'on proclame la mémoire de ta grande bonté, et que l'on chante ta justice!
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
L'Éternel est miséricordieux et clément, lent à s'irriter, et riche en grâce.
9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
L'Éternel est bon envers tous, et sa miséricorde s'étend à toutes ses œuvres.
10 All your works shall praise you, O LORD; and your saints shall bless you.
Éternel, toutes tes œuvres te célèbrent, et tes saints te bénissent;
11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your power;
ils disent la gloire de ton empire, et publient ta puissance,
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
pour annoncer ta puissance aux enfants des hommes, et le glorieux éclat de ton règne.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
Ton régne est un règne de tous les siècles, et ton empire se perpétue d'âge en âge.
14 The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those that be bowed down.
L'Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, et Il redresse ceux qui sont affaissés.
15 The eyes of all wait upon you; and you give them their food in due season.
Les yeux de tous s'attendent à toi, et tu leur donnes leur nourriture en son temps.
16 You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Tu ouvres ta main, et tu rassasies de faveurs tous les vivants.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
L'Éternel est juste en toutes ses voies, et miséricordieux en tout ce qu'il fait.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
L'Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, de tous ceux qui l'invoquent avec sincérité.
19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Il accomplit les vœux de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri, et leur est secourable.
20 The LORD perserves all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
L'Éternel garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, et Il détruit tous les impies.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Que ma bouche redise la louange de l'Éternel, et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, éternellement, à jamais!
