Ecclesiastes 11
1 Cast your bread upon the waters: for you shall find it after many days.
௧உன்னுடைய ஆகாரத்தைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூலமாக அனுப்பு; அநேக நாட்களுக்குப் பின்பு அதின் பலனைக் காண்பாய்.
2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for you know not what evil shall be upon the earth.
௨ஏழுபேருக்கும் எட்டுபேருக்கும் பங்கிட்டுக்கொடு; பூமியின்மேல் என்ன ஆபத்து நேரிடுமோ உனக்குத் தெரியாது.
3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it shall be.
௩மேகங்கள் நிறைந்திருந்தால் மழையைப் பூமியின்மேல் பொழியும்; மரமானது தெற்கே விழுந்தாலும் வடக்கே விழுந்தாலும், விழுந்த இடத்திலேயே மரம் கிடக்கும்.
4 He that observes the wind shall not sow; and he that regards the clouds shall not reap.
௪காற்றைக் கவனிக்கிறவன் விதைக்கமாட்டான்; மேகங்களைக் கவனிக்கிறவன் அறுக்கமாட்டான்.
5 As you know not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so you know not the works of God who makes all.
௫ஆவியின் வழி இன்னதென்றும், கர்ப்பவதியின் வயிற்றில் எலும்புகள் உருவாகும் விதம் இன்னதென்றும் நீ அறியாமல் இருக்கிறதுபோலவே, எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்கிற தேவனுடைய செயல்களையும் நீ அறிந்துகொள்வதில்லை.
6 In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening withhold not your hand: for you know not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
௬காலையிலே உன்னுடைய விதையை விதை; மாலையிலே உன்னுடைய கையை நெகிழவிடாதே; அதுவோ, இதுவோ, எது வாய்க்குமோ என்றும், இரண்டும் சரியாகப் பயன்படுமோ என்றும் நீ அறியமாட்டாய்.
7 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
௭வெளிச்சம் இன்பமும், சூரியனைக் காண்பது கண்களுக்கு விருப்பமாகவும் இருக்கும்.
8 But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.
௮மனிதன் அநேக வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, அவைகளிலெல்லாம் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தாலும், அவனுடைய இருளின் நாட்களையும் நினைக்கவேண்டும்; அவைகள் அநேகமாக இருக்கும்; வந்து நடப்பதெல்லாம் மாயையே.
9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes: but know you, that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.
௯வாலிபனே! உன்னுடைய இளமையிலே சந்தோஷப்படு, உன்னுடைய வாலிப நாட்களிலே உன்னுடைய இருதயம் உன்னை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கட்டும்; உன்னுடைய நெஞ்சின் வழிகளிலும், உன்னுடைய கண்ணின் காட்சிகளிலும் நட; ஆனாலும் இவையெல்லாவற்றிக்காகவும் தேவன் உன்னை நியாயத்திலே கொண்டுவந்து நிறுத்துவார் என்று அறிந்துகொள்.
10 Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
௧0நீ உன்னுடைய இருதயத்திலிருந்து கோபத்தையும், உன்னுடைய சரீரத்திலிருந்து தீங்கையும் நீக்கிப்போடு; இளவயதும் வாலிபமும் மாயையே.
