2 Corinthians 2
1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
| ܕܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܗܕܐ ܒܢܦܫܝ ܕܠܐ ܬܘܒ ܒܟܪܝܘܬܐ ܐܬܐ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ |
2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that makes me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
| ܐܢ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܟܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢܘ ܢܚܕܝܢܝ ܐܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܟܪܝܬ ܠܗ |
3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
| ܘܕܟܬܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܗܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܬܐ ܢܟܪܘܢ ܠܝ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܘܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܢܚܕܘܢܢܝ ܬܟܝܠ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܠ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܕܚܕܘܬܝ ܕܟܠܟܘܢ ܗܝ |
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that all of you should be grieved, but that all of you might know the love (agape) which I have more abundantly unto you.
| ܘܡܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܡܢ ܐܢܘܤܝܐ ܕܠܒܐ ܟܬܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܒܕܡܥܐ ܤܓܝܐܬܐ ܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܬܟܪܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܬܕܥܘܢ ܚܘܒܐ ܝܬܝܪܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ |
5 But if any have caused grief, he has not grieved me, but in part: that I may not burden you all.
| ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܫ ܐܟܪܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܐܟܪܝ ܐܠܐ ܒܨܝܪܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܠܟܠܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܐܩܪ ܡܠܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ |
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
| ܟܕܘ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܠܗܢܐ ܟܐܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܤܓܝܐܐ |
7 So that contrariwise all of you ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
| ܘܡܟܝܠ ܐܚܪܢܝܐܝܬ ܘܠܐ ܕܬܫܒܩܘܢ ܠܗ ܘܬܒܝܐܘܢܗ ܕܠܡܐ ܒܟܪܝܘܬܐ ܝܬܝܪܬܐ ܢܬܒܠܥ ܠܗ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܗܘ |
8 Wherefore I plead to you that all of you would confirm your love (agape) toward him.
| ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܕܬܫܪܪܘܢ ܒܗ ܚܘܒܟܘܢ |
9 In order to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether all of you be obedient in all things.
| ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܟܬܒܬ ܐܦ ܕܐܕܥ ܒܢܤܝܢܐ ܐܢ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ |
10 To whom all of you forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
| ܠܡܢ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܫܒܩܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܕܡ ܕܫܒܩܬ ܠܡܢ ܕܫܒܩܬ ܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܫܒܩܬ ܒܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ |
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
| ܕܠܐ ܢܥܠܒܢ ܤܛܢܐ ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܚܫܒܬܗ |
12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
| ܟܕ ܐܬܝܬ ܕܝܢ ܠܛܪܘܐܤ ܒܤܒܪܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܐܬܦܬܚ ܠܝ ܬܪܥܐ ܒܡܪܝܐ |
13 I had no rest in my spirit, (pneuma) because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
| ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܢܝܚܐ ܒܪܘܚܝ ܕܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬ ܠܛܛܘܤ ܐܚܝ ܐܠܐ ܫܪܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܦܩܬ ܠܝ ܠܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ |
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
| ܛܝܒܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܒܟܠ ܙܒܢ ܚܙܬܐ ܥܒܕ ܠܢ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܓܠܐ ܒܢ ܪܝܚܐ ܕܝܕܥܬܗ ܒܟܠ ܐܬܪ |
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
| ܪܝܚܐ ܚܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܤܝܡܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܐܝܢ ܘܒܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܒܕܝܢ |
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
| ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܪܝܚܐ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܪܝܚܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܘܠܗܠܝܢ ܡܢܘ ܢܫܘܐ |
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word (logos) of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
| ܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܟ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܡܡܙܓܝܢ ܡܠܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܫܪܪܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܡܠܠܝܢܢ |
