Job 21
1 But Job answered and said,
ヨブこたへて曰く
2 Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
請ふ汝等わが言を謹んで聽き 之をもて汝らの慰藉に代よ
3 Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
先われに容して言しめよ 我が言る後なんぢ嘲るも可し
4 As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
わが怨言は世の人の上につきて起れる者ならんや 我なんぞ氣をいらだつ可らざらんや
5 Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
なんぢら我を視て驚き 手を口にあてよ
6 Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
われ思ひまはせば畏しくなりて身體しきりに戰慄く
7 Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
惡き人何とて生ながらへ 老かつ勢力強くなるや
8 Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
その子等はその周圍にありてその前に堅く立ち その子孫もその目の前に堅く立べし
9 Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of Eloah upon them.
またその家は平安にして畏懼なく 神の杖その上に臨まじ
10 Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
その牡牛は種を與へて過らず その牝牛は子を産てそこなふ事なし
11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
彼等はその少き者等を外に出すこと群のごとし その子等は舞をどる
12 They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
彼等は鼓と琴とをもて歌ひ 笛の音に由て樂み
その日を幸福に暮し まばたくまに陰府にくだる (Sheol h7585)
14 Therefore they say unto El, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
然はあれども彼等は神に言らく我らを離れ賜へ 我らは汝の道をしることを好まず
15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
全能者は何者なれば我らこれに事ふべき 我儕これに祈るとも何の益を得んやと
16 Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
視よ彼らの福祿は彼らの力に由にあらざるなり 惡人の希圖は我に與する所にあらず
17 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! Elohim distributeth sorrows in his anger.
惡人のその燈火を滅るる事幾度ありしか その滅亡のこれに臨む事 神の怒りて之に艱苦を蒙らせたまふ事幾度有しか
18 They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
かれら風の前に藁の如く 暴風に吹さらるる籾殼の如くなること幾度有しか
19 Eloah layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
神かれの愆を積たくはへてその子孫に報いたまふか 之を彼自己の身に報い知しむるに如ず
20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
かれをして自らその滅亡を目に視させ かつ全能者の震怒を飮しめよ
21 For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
その月の數すでに盡るに於ては何ぞその後の家に關はる所あらん
22 Shall any teach El knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
神は天にある者等をさへ審判きたまふなれば誰か能これに知識を教へんや
23 One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
或人は繁榮を極め全く平穩にかつ安康にして死に
24 His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
その器に乳充ち その骨の髓は潤ほへり
25 And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
また或人は心を苦しめて死し 終に福祉をあぢはふる事なし
26 They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
是等は倶に齊しく塵に臥して蛆におほはる
27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
我まことに汝らの思念を知り 汝らが我を攻撃んとするの計略を知る
28 For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?
なんぢらは言ふ王侯の家は何に在る 惡人の住所は何にあると
29 Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
汝らは路往く人々に詢ざりしや 彼等の證據を曉らざるや
30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
すなはち滅亡の日に惡人遺され 烈しき怒の日に惡人たづさへ出さる
31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
誰か能かれに打向ひて彼の行爲を指示さんや 誰か能彼の爲たる所を彼に報ゆることを爲ん
32 Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
彼は舁れて墓に到り 塚の上にて守護ることを爲す
33 The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
谷の土塊も彼には快し 一切の人その後に從ふ 其前に行る者も數へがたし
34 How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
既に是の如くなるに汝等なんぞ徒に我を慰さめんとするや 汝らの答ふる所はただ虚僞のみ
