Genesis 11
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
၁မြေကြီးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည် ဘာသာတမျိုးတည်း။ စကားတမျိုးတည်းရှိကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
၂အရှေ့မျက်နှာမှ ခရီးသွားသဖြင့်၊ ရှိနာပြည်၌ မြေညီရာအရပ် ကိုတွေ့၍ နေရာချကြ၏။
3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
၃သူတို့ကလည်း လာကြ။ အုတ်လုပ်၍ ခိုင်မာစွာ ဖုတ်ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု၊ တယောက်ကို တယောက် ပြောကြ၏။ ထိုသို့ ကျောက်အရာ၌ အုတ်ကို၎င်း၊ သရွတ်အရာ၌ ရေညှိတမျိုးကို၎င်း ရပြီးလျှင်၊
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
၄လာကြ၊ မြေကြီးတပြင်လုံး၌ အရပ်ရပ်ကွဲပြားမည်ကို စိုးရိမ်၍၊ မြို့ကို၎င်း၊ မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်သို့မှီရသော ရဲတိုက်ကို၎င်း တည်လုပ်သဖြင့်၊ ကျော်စောကိတ္တိရှိစေခြင်းငှါ ပြုကြကုန်အံ့ဟု ပြောဆိုကြ၏။
5 And YHWH came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
၅ထိုသို့ လူသားတို့တည်လုပ်သော မြို့နှင့် ရဲတိုက်ကို ကြည့်ရှုခြင်းငှါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဆင်းသက်တော် မူ၏။
6 And YHWH said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
၆ထာဝရဘုရားက ကြည့်ရှုလော့။ လူတမျိုးတည်း၊ စကားတမျိုးတည်း ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သူတို့သည် ဤအမှုကို အဦးပြုကြ၏။ ယခုကြံစည်သမျှတို့ကို အဆီးအတားမရှိ၊ သူတို့ပြုကြလိမ့်မည်။
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
၇လာကြ၊ ဆင်းသက်ကြကုန်အံ့။ သူတို့သည် အချင်းချင်း နားမလည်စေခြင်းငှါ၊ သူတို့စကားကို ရှုပ်ထွေးကြကုန်အံ့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
8 So YHWH scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
၈ထိုသို့ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သူတို့ကို မြေကြီးတပြင်လုံး၌ အရပ်ရပ်ကွဲပြားစေတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ သူတို့သည် မြို့ကိုမတည်ပဲ နေကြ၏။
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because YHWH did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did YHWH scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
၉သို့ဖြစ်၍ ထိုမြို့၌ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မြေကြီးသားအပေါင်းတို့၏ စကားကိုရှုပ်ထွေး၍၊ သူတို့ကို မြေကြီးတပြင်လုံး၌ အရပ်ရပ် ကွဲပြားစေတော်မူသောကြောင့် ထိုမြို့သည် ဗာဗုလုံမြို့ဟူ၍ တွင်သတည်း။
10 These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
၁၀ရှေမ၏ သားစဉ်မြေးဆက်ဟူမူကား၊ ရှေမသည် အသက်တရာရှိ၍၊ ရေလွှမ်းမိုးသောနောက်နှစ်နှစ်ကြာ သော်၊ သားအာဖာဇဒ်ကို မြင်လေ၏။
11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
၁၁အာဖာဇဒ်ဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ ရှေမသည် အနှစ်ငါးရာအသက်ရှင်၍ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
12 And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:
၁၂အာဖာဇဒ်သည် အသက်သုံးဆယ်ငါးနှစ်ရှိသော်၊ သားရှာလကို မြင်လေ၏။
13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
၁၃ရှာလဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ အာဖာဇဒ်သည် အနှစ်လေးရာသုံး နှစ်အသက်ရှင်၍၊ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
14 And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:
၁၄ရှာလသည် အသက်သုံးဆယ်ရှိသော်၊ သားဟေဗာကို မြင်လေ၏။
15 And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
၁၅ဟေဗာဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ ရှာလသည် အနှစ်လေးရာသုံးနှစ် အသက်ရှင်၍၊ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:
၁၆ဟေဗာသည် အသက်သုံးဆယ့်လေးနှစ်ရှိသော်၊ သားဖာလက်ကို မြင်လေ၏။
17 And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.
၁၇ဖာလက်ဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ ဟေဗာသည် အနှစ်လေးရာသုံးဆယ်အသက်ရှင်၍၊ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:
၁၈ဖာလက်သည် အသက်သုံးဆယ်ရှိသော်၊ သားရာဂေါကို မြင်လေ၏။
19 And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.
၁၉ရာဂေါဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ ဖာလက်သည် အနှစ်နှစ်ရာကိုးနှစ်အသက်ရှင်၍၊ သားသမီးများကို ဘွားမြင်လေ၏။
20 And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:
၂၀ရာဂေါသည် အသက်သုံးဆယ်နှစ်နှစ်ရှိသော်၊ သားစေရောက်ကို မြင်လေ၏။
21 And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.
၂၁စေရောက်ဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ ရာဂေါသည် အနှစ်နှစ်ရာခုနစ်နှစ်အသက်ရှင်၍၊ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:
၂၂စေရောက်သည်အသက်သုံးဆယ်ရှိသော်၊ သားနာကိုခေါ်ကို မြင်လေ၏။
23 And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
၂၃နာခေါ်ဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ စေရောက်သည် အနှစ်နှစ်ရာ အသက်ရှင်၍ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
24 And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
၂၄နာခေါ်သည် အသက်နှစ်ဆယ်ကိုးနှစ်ရှိသော်၊ သားတေရကို မြင်လေ၏။
25 And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.
၂၅တေရဘွားမြင်သောနောက်၊ နာခေါ်သည် အနှစ်တရာတဆယ်ကိုးနှစ်အသက်ရှင်၍၊ သားသမီးများကို မြင်လေ၏။
26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
၂၆တေရသည် အသက်ခုနစ်ဆယ်ရှိသော်၊ သားအာဗြံ၊ နာခေါ်၊ ခါရန်တို့ကိုမြင်လေ၏။
27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
၂၇တေရ၏ သားစဉ်မြေးဆက်ဟူမူကား၊ တေရသည် အာဗြံ၊ နာခေါ်၊ ခါရန်တို့ကိုမြင်လေ၏။
28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
၂၈ခါရန်သည်လည်း လောတကိုမြင်လေ၏။ ခါရန်သည်၊ အဘတေရမသေမှီ၊ မိမိဘွားရာအရပ်၊ ခါလဒဲပြည်သားတို့နေသော ဥရမြို့၌ သေလေ၏။
29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
၂၉အာဗြံနှင့် နာခေါ်သည် မယားကို ယူ၍၊ အာဗြံ၏ မယားကား၊ စာရဲအမည်ရှိ၏။ နာခေါ်၏ မယားကား၊ ခါရန်၏သမီးမိလခါ အမည်ရှိ၏။ ခါရန်သည် မိလခါနှင့် ဣသခ၏အဘဖြစ်သတည်း။
30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
၃၀စာရဲမူကား မြုံသော မိန်းမဖြစ်၍ သားသမီးမရှိ။
31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
၃၁တေရသည် သားအာဗြံကို၎င်း၊ ခါရန်၏သား ဖြစ်သောမြေး လောတကို၎င်း၊ သားအာဗြံ၏မယားဖြစ် သော မိမိ ချွေးမစာရဲကို၎င်းခေါ်၍၊ သူတို့သည် ခါနာန်ပြည်သို့ သွားခြင်းငှါ၊ ခါလဒဲပြည်သားတို့နေသော ဥရမြို့မှ ထွက်သဖြင့်၊ ခါရန်မြို့သို့ ရောက်၍နေကြ၏။
32 And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
၃၂တေရသည် အသက်နှစ်ပေါင်းနှစ်ရာငါးနှစ်ရှိသော်၊ ခါရန်မြို့၌ သေလေ၏။
