2 Chronicles 35

1 Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto YHWH in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Y Josías hizo pascua al SEÑOR en Jerusalén, y sacrificaron la pascua a los catorce del mes primero.

2 And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of YHWH,

Y puso a los sacerdotes en sus estancias, y los confirmó en el ministerio de la Casa del SEÑOR.

3 And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto YHWH, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now YHWH your Elohim, and his people Israel,

Y dijo a los levitas que enseñaban a todo Israel, y que estaban dedicados al SEÑOR: Poned el arca del santuario en la Casa que edificó Salomón hijo de David, rey de Israel, para que no la carguéis más sobre los hombros. Ahora serviréis al SEÑOR vuestro Dios, y a su pueblo Israel.

4 And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

Apercibíos según las familias de vuestros padres, por vuestros órdenes, conforme a la prescripción de David rey de Israel, y de Salomón su hijo.

5 And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.

Estad en el santuario según el repartimiento de las familias de vuestros hermanos los hijos del pueblo, y según el repartimiento de la familia de los levitas.

6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of YHWH by the hand of Moses.

Y sacrificad la pascua, y santificaos, y apercibid a vuestros hermanos, para que hagan conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR dada por mano de Moisés.

7 And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.

Y ofreció el rey Josías a los del pueblo ovejas, corderos, y cabritos de los rebaños, en número de treinta mil, y tres mil bueyes, todo para la pascua, para todos los que se hallaron presentes; esto de la hacienda del rey.

8 And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of Elohim, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.

También sus príncipes ofrecieron con liberalidad al pueblo, y a los sacerdotes y levitas. Hilcías, Zacarías y Jehiel, príncipes de la Casa de Dios, dieron a los sacerdotes para hacer la pascua dos mil seiscientas ovejas, y trescientos bueyes.

9 Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.

Asimismo Conanías, y Semeías y Natanael sus hermanos, y Hasabías, Jehiel, y Josabad, príncipes de los levitas, dieron a los levitas para los sacrificios de la pascua cinco mil ovejas, y quinientos bueyes.

10 So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king's commandment.

Aparejado así el servicio, los sacerdotes se pusieron en sus estancias, y asimismo los levitas en sus órdenes, conforme al mandamiento del rey.

11 And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites flayed them.

Y sacrificaron la pascua; y esparcían los sacerdotes la sangre tomada de mano de los levitas, y los levitas desollaban.

12 And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto YHWH, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.

Quitaron luego parte de los animales que tenían para el holocausto, para dar conforme a los repartimientos por las familias de los del pueblo, a fin de que ofreciesen al SEÑOR, según está escrito en el libro de Moisés: y asimismo quitaron de los bueyes.

13 And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the people.

Y asaron la pascua al fuego según la costumbre; mas lo que había sido santificado lo cocieron en ollas, en calderos, y calderas, y lo repartieron prestamente a todo el pueblo.

14 And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.

Y después aderezaron para sí y para los sacerdotes; porque los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, estuvieron ocupados hasta la noche en el sacrificio de los holocaustos y de los sebos; por tanto, los levitas aderezaron para sí, y para los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón.

15 And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

Asimismo los cantores hijos de Asaf estaban en su estancia, conforme al mandamiento de David, de Asaf y de Hemán, y de Jedutún vidente del rey. Y los porteros estaban a cada puerta; y no era menester que se apartasen de su ministerio, porque sus hermanos los levitas aparejaban para ellos.

16 So all the service of YHWH was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of YHWH, according to the commandment of king Josiah.

Así fue aparejado todo el servicio del SEÑOR en aquel día, para hacer la pascua, y sacrificar los holocaustos sobre el altar del SEÑOR, conforme al mandamiento del rey Josías.

17 And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

Y los hijos de Israel que se hallaron presentes, hicieron la pascua en aquel tiempo, y la fiesta solemne de los panes sin levadura, por siete días.

18 And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Nunca tal pascua fue hecha en Israel desde los días de Samuel el profeta; ni ningún rey de Israel hizo pascua tal como la que hizo el rey Josías, y los sacerdotes y levitas, y todo Judá e Israel, los que se hallaron presentes, juntamente con los moradores de Jerusalén.

19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.

Esta pascua fue celebrada en el año dieciocho del rey Josías.

20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

Después de todas estas cosas, luego de haber Josías preparado la Casa, Necao rey de Egipto subió a hacer guerra en Carquemis junto a Eufrates; y salió Josías contra él.

21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for Elohim commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with Elohim, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

Y él le envió embajadores, diciendo: ¿Qué tenemos yo y tú, rey de Judá? Yo no vengo contra ti hoy, sino contra la casa que me hace guerra; y Dios dijo que me apresurase. Déjate de meterte con Dios, que es conmigo, no te destruya.

22 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of Elohim, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

Mas Josías no volvió su rostro de él, antes se disfrazó para darle batalla, y no escuchó las palabras de Necao, que eran de boca de Dios; y vino a darle la batalla en el campo de Meguido.

23 And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.

Y los arqueros hirieron al rey Josías con una flecha; y dijo el rey a sus siervos: Quitadme de aquí, porque estoy herido gravemente.

24 His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

Entonces sus siervos lo quitaron de aquel carro, y lo pusieron en otro segundo carro que tenía, y lo llevaron a Jerusalén, y murió; y lo sepultaron en los sepulcros de sus padres. Y todo Judá y Jerusalén hizo duelo por Josías.

25 And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.

Y endechó Jeremías por Josías, y todos los cantores y cantoras recitan sus lamentaciones sobre Josías hasta hoy; y las han vuelto en ley en Israel, las cuales están escritas en las Lamentaciones.

26 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of YHWH,

Lo demás de los hechos de Josías, y sus misericordias, conforme a lo que está escrito en la ley del SEÑOR,

27 And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

y sus hechos, primeros y postreros, he aquí todo está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.
