< Psalms 149 >

1 Praise you the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
Alleluia. Sing to the Lord a new song: his praise is in the assembly of the saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises to him with the tambourine and harp.
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sings praises to him with timbrel and lute.
4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; and will exalt the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud on their beds.
The saints shall rejoice in glory; and shall exult on their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
The high praises of God shall be in their throat, and two-edged swords in their hands;
7 To execute vengeance on the heathen, and punishments on the people;
to execute vengeance on the nations, [and] punishments amongst the peoples;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; to execute on them the judgement written: this honour have all his saints.
9 To execute on them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise you the LORD.
