1 Chronicles 6
1 The sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Fils de Lévi: Gerson, Kehâth et Merari.
2 And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
Fils de Kehâth: Amram, Yiçhar, Hébrôn et Ouzziël.
3 And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Enfants d’Amram: Aaron, Moïse et Miriam. Fils d’Aaron: Nadab, Abihou, Eléazar et Ithamar.
4 Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,
Eléazar engendra Phinéas, celui-ci Abichoua,
5 And Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,
celui-ci Boukki, celui-ci Ouzzi,
6 And Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,
celui-ci Zerahia, celui-ci Meraïot,
7 Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,
celui-ci Amaria, celui-ci Ahitoub,
8 And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,
celui-ci Çadok, celui-ci Ahimaaç,
9 And Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,
celui-ci Azaria, celui-ci Johanan,
10 And Johanan begat Azariah, (he it is that executed the priest’s office in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem: )
et celui-ci Azaria. C’Est ce dernier qui exerça le pontificat dans le temple bâti par Salomon à Jérusalem.
11 And Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,
Azaria engendra Amaria, celui-ci Ahitoub,
12 And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,
celui-ci Çadok, celui-ci Challoum,
13 And Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,
celui-ci Hilkia, celui-ci Azaria,
14 And Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak,
celui-ci Seraïa, celui-ci Joçadak.
15 And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
Joçadak émigra, lorsque Dieu exila Juda et Jérusalem par l’intermédiaire de Nabuchodonozor.
16 The sons of Levi; Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
Fils de Lévi: Gersom, Kehâth et Merari.
17 And these be the names of the sons of Gershom; Libni, and Shimei.
Les fils de Gersom eurent pour noms Libni et Chimeï.
18 And the sons of Kohath were, Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
Ceux de Kehâth: Amram, Yiçhar, Hébrôn et Ouzziël.
19 The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.
Fils de Merari: Mahli et Mouchi. Telles sont les familles des Lévites selon leurs ancêtres.
20 Of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,
De Gersom sont issus Libni, son fils, de celui-ci Yahat, de celui-ci Zimma,
21 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeaterai his son.
de celui-ci Yoah, de celui-ci Iddo, de celui-ci Zérah, de celui-ci Yeatraï.
22 The sons of Kohath; Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,
Descendants de Kehâth: Amminadab, son fils; celui-ci eut pour fils Coré, celui-ci Assir;
23 Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,
celui-ci Elkana, celui-ci Ebiassaf, celui-ci Assir;
24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.
celui-ci Tahat, celui-ci Ouriël, celui-ci Ouzzia, celui-ci Chaoul.
25 And the sons of Elkanah; Amasai, and Ahimoth.
Les fils d’Elkana furent Amassaï et Ahimot.
26 As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah; Zophai his son, and Nahath his son,
Le premier eut pour descendant Elkana. Voici les descendants de celui-ci: Çofaï, son fils, de celui-ci Nahat;
27 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.
de celui-ci Elïab, de celui-ci Yeroham, de celui-ci Elkana.
28 And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah.
Les fils de Samuel furent, l’aîné… et le cadet, Abiyya.
29 The sons of Merari; Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzza his son,
Descendants de Merari: Mahli, qui eut pour fils Libni, celui-ci Chimeï, celui-ci Ouzza,
30 Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.
celui-ci Chimea, celui-ci Hagghiya, celui-ci Assaïa.
31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.
Voici ceux que David préposa au service musical du temple de l’Eternel, quand l’arche eut un emplacement fixe.
32 And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.
Ils s’acquittèrent de ce service musical devant le tabernacle de la Tente d’assignation jusqu’à la construction, par Salomon, du temple de l’Eternel à Jérusalem. Ils remplissaient leurs fonctions selon le règlement établi.
33 And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,
Tels furent donc ces préposés, avec leurs fils: des Kehathites: Hêmân, le chantre, fils de Joël, fils de Samuel,
34 The son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,
fils d’Elkana, fils de Yeroham, fils d’Eliël, fils de Toah,
35 The son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,
fils de Çouf, fils d’Elkana, fils de Mahat, fils d’Amassaï,
36 The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,
fils d’Elkana, fils de Joël, fils d’Azaria, fils de Cefania,
37 The son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,
fils de Tahat, fils d’Assir, fils d’Ebiasaf, fils de Coré,
38 The son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
fils de Yiçhar, fils de Kehâth, fils de Lévi, fils d’Israël.
39 And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,
Son frère, Assaph, qui se tenait à sa droite. Assaph était fils de Bérékhiahou, fils de Chimea,
40 The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,
fils de Mikhaël, fils de Baasêya, fils de Malkia,
41 The son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,
fils d’Etni, fils de Zérah, fils d’Adaïa,
42 The son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,
fils d’Etân, fils de Zimma, fils de Chimeï,
43 The son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.
fils de Yahat, fils de Gersom, fils de Lévi.
44 And their brothers the sons of Merari stood on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,
Les Merarites, leurs frères, qui se tenaient à gauche: Etân, fils de Kichi, fils d’Abdi, fils de Mallouc,
45 The son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,
fils de Hachabia, fils d’Amacia, fils de Hilkia,
46 The son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,
fils d’Ami, fils de Bâni, fils de Chémer,
47 The son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.
fils de Mahli, fils de Mouchi, fils de Merari, fils de Lévi.
48 Their brothers also the Levites were appointed to all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.
Leurs frères, les Lévites, étaient voués à tous les autres services du Sanctuaire, de la maison de Dieu,
49 But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
tandis qu’Aaron et ses descendants faisaient fumer les oblations sur l’autel des holocaustes et sur celui de l’encens, et étaient préposés à tout le service du Saint des Saints et à la propitiation en faveur d’Israël, suivant toutes les prescriptions de Moïse, serviteur de Dieu.
50 And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,
Voici quels furent les descendants d’Aaron: Eléazar, Phinéas, fils de celui-ci, Abichoua, fils de celui-ci,
51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
Boukki, fils de celui-ci, Ouzzi, fils de celui-ci, Zerahia, fils de celui-ci,
52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
Meraïot, fils de celui-ci, Amaria, fils de celui-ci, Ahitoub, fils de celui-ci,
53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
Çadok, fils de celui-ci, Ahimaaç, fils de celui-ci.
54 Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.
Voici leurs résidences selon les enclaves qu’elles formaient et avec leurs limites. Aux descendants d’Aaron, d’entre les familles kehathites, à qui échut le premier lot,
55 And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.
on donna Hébron, dans le pays de Juda, avec la banlieue d’alentour.
56 But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
Les champs et les bourgades dépendant de la ville, on les avait donnés à Caleb, fils de Yefounné.
57 And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,
Mais aux descendants d’Aaron on donna les villes de refuge, Hébron, Libn. a avec sa banlieue, Yattir et Echtemoa, avec sa banlieue,
58 And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,
Hilên, avec sa banlieue, Debir, avec sa banlieue,
59 And Ashan with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs:
Achân, avec sa banlieue, et Beth-Chémech, avec sa banlieue.
60 And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.
Et de la tribu de Benjamin: Ghéba et sa banlieue, Alémet et sa banlieue, Anatot et sa banlieue: total, treize villes pour leurs familles.
61 And to the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.
Quant aux descendants de Kehâth, formant le surplus de la famille, on leur donna, au sort, de la tribu… et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, dix villes.
62 And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
Aux descendants de Gersom selon leurs familles on donna treize villes des tribus d’Issachar, d’Aser, de Nepthali et de la tribu de Manassé du Basan.
63 To the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
Les familles descendant de Merari reçurent, par le sort, des tribus de Ruben, Gad et Zabulon, douze villes.
64 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.
Les enfants d’Israël donnèrent aux Lévites ces villes avec leur banlieue.
65 And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.
On donna, par le sort, des tribus des Judéens, des Siméonites et des Benjaminites, les villes qui ont été désignées nominativement.
66 And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.
Quant aux autres familles des Kehathites, les villes qui leur furent assignées appartenaient à la tribu d’Ephraïm.
67 And they gave to them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,
On leur attribua les villes de refuge, Sichem avec sa banlieue, sur la montagne d’Ephraïm, Ghézer avec sa banlieue,
68 And Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs,
Yokmeâm avec sa banlieue, Beth-Horôn avec sa banlieue,
69 And Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs:
Ayyalôn avec sa banlieue et Gath-Rimmôn avec sa banlieue.
70 And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.
De la demi-tribu de Manassé: Anêr avec sa banlieue, Bileam avec sa banlieue. Tout cela pour le surplus des familles des Kehathites.
71 To the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs:
Les familles lévitiques descendant de Gersom reçurent, de la demi-tribu de Manassé, Golân dans le Basan, avec sa banlieue, et Achtarot avec sa banlieue.
72 And out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,
De la tribu d’Issachar: Kédech avec sa banlieue, Daberath avec la sienne,
73 And Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs:
Ramot avec sa banlieue, Anêm avec la sienne.
74 And out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with her suburbs, and Abdon with her suburbs,
De la tribu d’Aser: Machal avec sa banlieue, Abdôn avec la sienne,
75 And Hukok with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs:
Houkok avec sa banlieue, Rehob avec la sienne.
76 And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.
De la tribu de Nephtali: Kédech, en Galilée, avec sa banlieue, Hammôn avec la sienne, Kiryathaïm avec la sienne.
77 To the rest of the children of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs:
Les descendants de Merari, formant le surplus des Lévites, reçurent de la tribu de Zabulon: Rimmono avec sa banlieue, Tabor avec la sienne,
78 And on the other side Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs, and Jahzah with her suburbs,
et de l’autre côté du Jourdain de Jéricho, à l’orient du Jourdain: de la tribu de Ruben, Bécer dans le désert avec sa banlieue, Yahça avec la sienne,
79 Kedemoth also with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs:
Kedêmoth avec sa banlieue et Mèfaath avec la sienne.
80 And out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
Et de la tribu de Gad: Ramoth en Galaad avec sa banlieue, Mahanaïm avec la sienne,
81 And Heshbon with her suburbs, and Jazer with her suburbs.
Hesbôn avec sa banlieue et Yazêr avec la sienne.
