Psalms 46
1 To him that excelleth upon Alamoth a song committed to the sonnes of Korah. God is our hope and strength, and helpe in troubles, ready to be found.
Deus é o nosso refúgio e fortaleza, socorro bem presente na angústia.
2 Therefore will not we feare, though the earth be moued, and though the mountaines fall into the middes of the sea.
Pelo que não temeremos, ainda que a terra se mude, e ainda que os montes se transportem para o meio dos mares.
3 Though the waters thereof rage and be troubled, and the mountaines shake at the surges of the same. (Selah)
Ainda que as águas rujam e se perturbem, ainda que os montes se abalem pela sua braveza (Selah)
4 Yet there is a Riuer, whose streames shall make glad the citie of God: euen the Sanctuarie of the Tabernacles of the most High.
Há um rio cujas correntes alegram a cidade de Deus, o santuário das moradas do altíssimo.
5 God is in the middes of it: therefore shall it not be moued: God shall helpe it very earely.
Deus está no meio dela, não se abalará; Deus a ajudará ao romper da manhã.
6 When the nations raged, and the kingdomes were moued, God thundred, and the earth melted.
As nações se embraveceram; os reinos se moveram; ele levantou a sua voz e a terra se derreteu.
7 The Lord of hostes is with vs: the God of Iaakob is our refuge. (Selah)
O Senhor dos exércitos está conosco: o Deus de Jacob é o nosso refúgio (Selah)
8 Come, and behold the workes of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
Vinde, contemplai as obras de Senhor; que desolações tem feito na terra!
9 He maketh warres to cease vnto the endes of the world: he breaketh the bowe and cutteth the speare, and burneth the chariots with fire.
Ele faz cessar as guerras até ao fim da terra: quebra o arco e corta a lança; queima os carros no fogo.
10 Be still and knowe that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I wil be exalted in the earth.
Aquietai-vos, e sabei que eu sou Deus; serei exaltado entre as nações; serei exaltado sobre a terra.
