2 Chronicles 7
1 And when Salomon had made an ende of praying, fire came downe from heauen, and consumed the burnt offring and the sacrifices: and the glory of the Lord filled the house,
Und [1. Kön. 8,54] als Salomo geendigt hatte zu beten, da fuhr das Feuer vom Himmel herab und verzehrte das Brandopfer und die Schlachtopfer; und die Herrlichkeit Jehovas erfüllte das Haus.
2 So that the Priestes could not euter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lordes house.
Und die Priester konnten nicht in das Haus Jehovas hineingehen, denn die Herrlichkeit Jehovas erfüllte das Haus Jehovas.
3 And when all the children of Israel saw the fire, and the glory of the Lord come downe vpon the house, they bowed themselues with their faces to the earth vpon the pauement, and worshipped and praysed the Lord, saying, For he is good, because his mercy lasteth for euer.
Und als alle Kinder Israel das Feuer herabfahren sahen und die Herrlichkeit Jehovas über dem Hause, da beugten sie sich, mit dem Antlitz zur Erde, auf das Pflaster und beteten an, und sie priesen Jehova, weil er gütig ist, weil [O. denn er ist gütig, denn usw.] seine Güte ewiglich währt.
4 Then the King and all the people offred sacrifices before the Lord.
Und der König und das ganze Volk opferten Schlachtopfer vor Jehova.
5 And King Salomon offered a sacrifice of two and twentie thousand bullockes, and an hundreth and twentie thousand sheepe. so the King and all the people dedicated the house of God.
Und der König Salomo opferte als Schlachtopfer 22000 Rinder und 120000 Schafe. [Eig. Stück Kleinvieh] Und der König und das ganze Volk weihten das Haus Gottes ein.
6 And the Priests waited on their offices, and the Leuites with the instruments of musicke of the Lord, which King Dauid had made to praise the Lord, Because his mercy lasteth for euer: whe Dauid praysed God by them, the Priestes also blewe trumpets ouer against them: and all they of Israel stoode by.
Und die Priester standen auf ihren Posten, [Eig. in Ihren Ämtern, d. h. sie warteten ihres Amtes] und die Leviten mit den Musikinstrumenten Jehovas, die der König David gemacht hatte, um Jehova zu preisen, [O. zu danken] -denn seine Güte währt ewiglich-wenn David durch sie lobpries; und die Priester trompeteten ihnen gegenüber, und ganz Israel stand.
7 Moreouer Salomon halowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord: for there hee had prepared burnt offerings, and the fatte of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Salomon had made, was not able to receiue the burnt offering, and the meate offring, and the fat.
Und Salomo heiligte die Mitte des Hofes, der vor dem Hause Jehovas lag; denn er opferte daselbst die Brandopfer und die Fettstücke der Friedensopfer; denn der eherne Altar, den Salomo gemacht hatte, konnte das Brandopfer und das Speisopfer und die Fettstücke nicht fassen.
8 And Salomon made a feast at that time of seuen dayes, and all Israel with him, a very great Congregation, from the entring in of Hamath, vnto the riuer of Egypt.
Und so feierten Salomo und ganz Israel mit ihm, eine sehr große Versammlung, von dem Eingang Hamaths bis an den Fluß Ägyptens, zu selbiger Zeit das Fest [S. die Anm. zu 1. Kön. 8,2] sieben Tage.
9 And in the eight day they made a solemne assemblie: for they had made the dedication of the altar seuen daies, and the feast seuen dayes.
Und am achten Tage hielten sie eine Festversammlung; denn sie feierten die Einweihung des Altars sieben Tage und das Fest sieben Tage.
10 And the three and twentieth day of the seuenth moneth, he sent the people away into their tentes, ioyous and with glad heart, because of the goodnesse that the Lord had done for Dauid and for Salomon, and for Israel his people.
Und am 23. Tage des siebten Monats entließ er das Volk nach ihren Zelten, fröhlich und gutes Mutes wegen des Guten, das Jehova dem David und dem Salomo und seinem Volke Israel erwiesen hatte.
11 So Salomon finished the house of the Lord, and the Kings house, and all that came into Salomons heart to make in the house of the Lord: and he prospered in his house.
Und [1. Kön. 9] so vollendete Salomo das Haus Jehovas und das Haus des Königs; und alles, was Salomo ins Herz gekommen war, im Hause Jehovas und in seinem Hause zu machen, war ihm gelungen.
12 And the Lord appeared to Salomon by night and said to him, I haue heard thy prayer, and haue chosen this place for my selfe to be an house of sacrifice.
Da erschien Jehova dem Salomo in der Nacht und sprach zu ihm: Ich habe dein Gebet gehört und mir diesen Ort zum Opferhause erwählt.
13 If I shut the heauen that there be no raine, or if I commaund the grashopper to deuoure the lande, or if I sende pestilence among my people,
Wenn ich den Himmel verschließe, und kein Regen sein wird, und wenn ich der Heuschrecke gebiete, das Land abzufressen, und wenn ich eine Pest unter mein Volk sende;
14 If my people, among whome my Name is called vpon, doe humble them selues, and praye, and seeke my presence, and turne from their wicked wayes, then will I heare in heauen, and be mercifull to their sinne, and wil heale their land:
und mein Volk, welches nach meinem Namen genannt wird, [O. über welchem mein Name angerufen wird] demütigt sich, und sie beten und suchen mein Angesicht, und kehren um von ihren bösen Wegen: so werde ich vom Himmel her hören und ihre Sünden vergeben und ihr Land heilen.
15 Then mine eies shalbe open and mine eares attent vnto the prayer made in this place.
Nun werden meinen Augen offen und meine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf das Gebet an diesem Orte.
16 For I haue nowe chosen and sanctified this house, that my Name may be there for euer: and mine eyes and mine heart shalbe there perpetually.
Und nun habe ich dieses Haus erwählt und geheiligt, daß mein Name daselbst sei ewiglich; und meine Augen und mein Herz sollen daselbst sein alle Tage.
17 And if thou wilt walke before me, as Dauid thy father walked, to doe according vnto all that I haue commanded thee, and shalt obserue my statutes and my iudgements,
Und du, wenn du vor mir wandeln wirst, so wie dein Vater David gewandelt hat, daß [Eig. nämlich daß] du tust nach allem, was ich dir geboten habe, und wenn du meine Satzungen und meine Rechte beobachten wirst,
18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome, according as I made the couenant with Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man to be ruler in Israel.
so werde ich den Thron deines Königtums befestigen, so wie ich mit deinem Vater David einen Bund gemacht und gesagt habe: Es soll dir nicht an einem Manne fehlen, der über Israel herrsche.
19 But if ye turne away, and forsake my statutes and my commandements which I haue set before you, and shall goe and serue other gods, and worshippe them,
Wenn ihr euch aber abwenden und meine Satzungen und meine Gebote, die ich euch vorgelegt habe, verlassen werdet, und werdet hingehen und anderen Göttern dienen und euch vor ihnen niederbeugen,
20 Then will I plucke them vp out of my lande, which I haue giuen them, and this house which I haue sanctified for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a prouerbe and a common talke among all people.
so werde ich sie herausreißen aus meinem Lande, das ich ihnen gegeben habe; und dieses Haus, welches ich meinem Namen geheiligt habe, werde ich von meinem Angesicht wegwerfen, und werde es zum Sprichwort und zur Spottrede machen unter allen Völkern.
21 And this house which is most hie, shall be an astonishment to euery one that passeth by it, so that he shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus to this lande, and to this house?
Und dieses Haus, das erhaben war jeder, der an demselben vorbeigeht, wird sich entsetzen und sagen: Warum hat Jehova diesem Lande und diesem Hause also getan?
22 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the lande of Egypt, and haue taken holde on other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them, therefore hath he brought all this euill vpon them.
Und man wird sagen: Darum, daß sie Jehova, den Gott ihrer Väter, der sie aus dem Lande Ägypten herausgeführt hat, verlassen und andere Götter angenommen [W. ergriffen] und sich vor ihnen niedergebeugt und ihnen gedient haben; darum hat er all dieses Unglück über sie gebracht.
