Proverbs 21
1 The Lord directs the king's decisions like a stream of water that he sends whichever way he wants.
၁ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ စိတ်နှလုံးသည် ရေချောင်းကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ လက်တော်၌ရှိသဖြင့်၊ အလို တော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း လှည့်စေတော်မူ၏။
2 People think that whatever they do is fine, but the Lord looks at their motives.
၂လူတို့သည်မိမိတို့ ကျင့်သမျှသော အကျင့်တို့ကို နှစ်သက်တတ်၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားမူကား၊ စိတ်နှလုံးတို့ကို ချိန်တော်မူ၏။
3 Doing what's right and fair pleases the Lord more than sacrifices.
၃ယဇ်ပူဇော်ခြင်းကို နှစ်သက်သည်ထက် ဖြောင့် မတ်စွာပြုခြင်း၊ တရားသဖြင့် စီရင်ခြင်းကို ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သာ၍နှစ်သက်တော်မူ၏။
4 Pride and arrogance are the sins the wicked live by.
၄ထောင်လွှားသောမျက်နှာ၊ မာနကြီးသောနှလုံး၊ မတရားသောသူတို့၏အလင်းသော်လည်း အပြစ်ပါ၏။
5 Those who plan ahead and work hard will have plenty, while those who act rashly end up poor.
၅လုံ့လဝိရိယပြုသောသူ၏အကြံအစည်သည် ကြွယ်ဝခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း၊ သမ္မာသတိမရှိသော သူ၏အကြံ အစည်သည် ဆင်းရဲခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း ဆိုင်ပေ၏။
6 Money made by lies is like smoke in the wind—a chase that ends in death.
၆မုသာစကားအားဖြင့် ဘဏ္ဍာကိုဆည်းဖူးခြင်း အမှုသည် သေမင်းကျော့ကွင်းတို့တွင် ပျောက်လွင့်သော အနတ္တဖြစ်၏။
7 The destruction caused by the wicked will destroy them, for they refuse to do what's right.
၇မတရားသော သူတို့သည် တရားသဖြင့်မစီရင် လိုသောကြောင့်၊ မိမိညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းအပြစ်သည် မိမိကို ဖျက်ဆီးလိမ့်မည်။
8 Guilty people live crooked lives, but the innocent follow straight paths.
၈လမ်းလွှဲသွားသောသူသည် ကွာဝေးရာသို့ ရောက်တတ်၏။ စင်ကြယ်သော သူပြုသောအမှုမူကား မှန်ပေ၏။
9 It's better to live in a corner of a housetop than to share a whole house with an argumentative wife.
၉ရန်တွေ့တတ်သောမိန်းမနှင့် အတူလူများသော အိမ်၌နေသည်ထက်၊ အိမ်မိုးပေါ်ထောင့်ထဲမှာ နေသော် သာ၍ကောင်း၏။
10 Evil people love to do wrong, they don't care what pain they cause anyone.
၁၀မတရားသောသူသည် မနာလိုသောစိတ်ရှိ၏။ အိမ်နီးချင်း၌ ကျေးဇူးပြုချင်သော အလိုမရှိ။
11 When a mocker is punished, an immature person can learn wisdom. When the wise are educated, they gain knowledge.
၁၁မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသောသူသည် အပြစ်ဒဏ်ကို ခံရသောအခါ၊ ဥာဏ် တိမ်သောသူသည်သတိရတတ်၏။ သတိရသောသူသည်လည်း သွန်သင်ခြင်းကိုခံသောအခါ၊ ပညာတိုးပွါးတတ်၏။
12 The God of justice sees what happens in the homes of the wicked, and brings the wicked down in disaster.
၁၂တရားသောသူသည် မတရားသောသူ၏အိမ်ကို ပညာစိတ်နှင့် ဆင်ခြင်တတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူတို့ မူကား၊ မိမိတို့ပြုသောဒုစရိုက်အားဖြင့် ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တတ်ကြ၏။
13 If you refuse to hear the cries of the poor, your cries won't be heard either.
၁၃ဆင်းရဲသောသူ၏အော်ဟစ်သံကို မကြားလို၍၊ နားကိုပိတ်သော သူသည် ကိုယ်တိုင်အော်ဟစ်၍၊ အဘယ် သူမျှမကြားရ။
14 A gift given in secret calms down anger, and a hidden bribe soothes furious rage.
၁၄တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ပေးသောလက်ဆောင်သည် သူ့စိတ်ကို၎င်း၊ ရင်ခွင်၌ချထားသော လက်ဆောင်ပဏ္ဏာ သည် ပြင်းစွာသော အမျက်ကို၎င်း ဖြေတတ်၏။
15 When justice is done, the good are happy, but it brings terror to those who do evil.
၁၅ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် တရားသဖြင့်စီရင်၍ ဝမ်းမြောက်တတ်၏။ အဓမ္မအမှုကိုပြုသောသူမူကား၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။
16 Anyone who wanders away from the path of understanding ends up with the dead.
၁၆ဥာဏ်ပညာလမ်းမှ လွှဲသွားသော သူသည် သင်္ချိုင်းသား အစုအဝေး၌ နေရာကျလိမ့်မည်။
17 If you love pleasure you'll become poor; if you love wine and olive oil you won't ever be rich.
၁၇ကာမဂုဏ်၌ မွေ့လျော်သောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ စပျစ်ရည်နှင့်ဆီကို ကြိုက်သော သူသည်လည်း ငွေကိုမရတတ်ရ။
18 The wicked pay the price and not the good; those who are deceitful and not those who live right.
၁၈မတရားသောသူသည် တရားသောသူအဘို့၊ လွန်ကျူးသော သူသည်ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူအဘို့ ရွေးရန် ဖြစ်၏။
19 It's better to live in a desert than with an argumentative and bad-tempered wife.
၁၉စိတ်တို၍ရန်တွေ့တတ်သောမိန်းမနှင့် နေသည် ထက်၊ တောလွင်ပြင်၌ နေသော်သာ၍ကောင်း၏။
20 The wise hold on to their wealth and olive oil, but stupid people use up everything they have.
၂၀ပညာရှိသောသူ၏အိမ်၌ နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်သော ဘဏ္ဍာနှင့် ဆီရှိတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူမူကား၊ ကုန်စေ တတ်၏။
21 If you pursue goodness and trustworthy love, you'll find life, prosperity, and honor.
၂၁ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရားနှင့်ကရုဏာတရားကို ရှာသောသူသည် အသက်ရှင်ခြင်း၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်း၊ ဂုဏ် အသရေထင်ရှားခြင်းကို တွေ့တတ်၏။
22 The wise can overcome a city belonging to strong warriors, and tear down the fortress they trusted to protect them.
၂၂ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ခိုင်ခံ့သောမြို့ရိုးကို တက် ၍၊ မြို့သားကိုးစားစရာခွန်အားကို ရှုတ်ချတတ်၏။
23 If you watch what you say, you can save yourself a lot of trouble.
၂၃မိမိနှုတ်နှင့်လျှာကိုစောင့်သော သူသည် မိမိ စိတ်ဝိညာဉ်ကို ဒုက္ခနှင့်လွတ်စေခြင်းငှါ စောင့်ရာရောက် ၏။
24 A proud, conceited, mocker—that's the name of those who act with insolent arrogance.
၂၄ပြင်းစွာသော ဒေါသအမျက်၌ ကျင်လည်သော သူကို၊ ထောင်လွှားစော်ကားသောသူ၊ မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသော သူဟူ၍ သမုတ်အပ်၏။
25 Slackers die hungry because they refuse to work.
၂၅ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် အလုပ်မလုပ်ချင်သော ကြောင့်၊ မိမိတပ်မက်သောအားဖြင့် သေတတ်၏။
26 Some people only want more and more all the time, but the good give generously.
၂၆တနေ့လုံးတပ်မက်အားကြီးတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သော သူမူကား မနှမြောဘဲစွန့်ကြဲတတ်၏။
27 The sacrifices given by the wicked are obnoxious, worse still when they're offered with evil motives.
၂၇မတရားသော သူပူဇော်သော ယဇ်သည် စက်ဆုပ်ရွံ့ရှာဘွယ်ဖြစ်၏။ ထိုမျှမက၊ မတရားသော စိတ်နှင့်ပူဇော်လျှင် သာ၍ဖြစ်၏။
28 The lies of a false witness vanish away, but the words of a reliable witness will stand.
၂၈မမှန်သော သက်သေသည် ပျက်တတ်၏။ ကိုယ်တိုင်ကြားသောသူမူကား၊ တည်ကြည်စွာ ပြော တတ်၏။
29 The wicked act as bold as brass, but those who live right consider carefully what they're doing.
၂၉မတရားသောသူသည် မိမိမျက်နှာကို ခိုင်မာ စေတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ မိမိသွားရာလမ်း ကို ပြင်ဆင်တတ်၏။
30 Whatever wisdom, understanding, or guidance you may have is nothing before the Lord.
၃၀ထာဝရဘုရားတဘက်၌ ဥာဏ်မတည်၊ ပညာ မတည်၊ အကြံတစုံတခုမျှ မတည်နိုင်။
31 You can get your horse ready for battle, but the victory is the Lord's.
၃၁စစ်တိုက်ရာကာလအဘို့မြင်းများကို ပြင်ဆင် သော်လည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြောင့် ချမ်းသာရပါ၏။
