2 Chronicles 1

1 Solomon, son of David, strengthened his hold over the kingdom, and the Lord God was with him and made him extremely powerful.

۱ و سلیمان پسر داود در سلطنت خود قوی شد و یهوه خدایش با وی می‌بود و او راعظمت بسیار بخشید.

2 Solomon sent for all the Israelite leaders, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every family leader.

۲ و سلیمان تمامی اسرائیل و سرداران هزاره وصده و داوران و هر رئیسی را که در تمامی اسرائیل بود از روسای خاندانهای آبا خواند.

3 Solomon went with the whole assembly to the high place at Gibeon, for this was the site of God's Tent of Meeting that Moses, the Lord's servant, had made in the wilderness.

۳ وسلیمان با تمامی جماعت به مکان بلندی که درجبعون بود رفتند زیرا خیمه اجتماع خدا که موسی بنده خداوند آن را در بیابان ساخته بود درآنجا بود.

4 David had brought up the Ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place in Jerusalem where he had set up a tent for it.

۴ لیکن داود تابوت خدا را از قریه یعاریم به‌جایی که داود برایش مهیا کرده بود بالاآورد و خیمه‌ای برایش در اورشلیم برپا نمود.

5 However, the bronze altar made by Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, was there in front of the Tent of the Lord, so that is where Solomon and the assembly went to worship.

۵ ومذبح برنجینی که بصلئیل بن اوری ابن حورساخته بود، در آنجا پیش مسکن خداوند ماند وسلیمان و جماعت نزد آن مسالت نمودند.

6 Solomon went up to the bronze altar before the Lord, in front of the Tent of Meeting. There he presented one thousand burnt offerings.

۶ پس سلیمان به آنجا نزد مذبح برنجینی که در خیمه اجتماع بود به حضور خداوند برآمده، هزارقربانی سوختنی بر آن گذرانید.

7 That night God appeared to Solomon and told him, “Ask what you want me to give you.”

۷ در همان شب خدا به سلیمان ظاهر شد و اورا گفت: «آنچه را که به تو بدهم طلب نما.»

8 Solomon responded to God, “You showed trustworthy love without limit to my father David, and you have made me king in his place.

۸ سلیمان به خدا گفت: «تو به پدرم داود احسان عظیم نمودی و مرا به‌جای او پادشاه ساختی.

9 Lord God, please keep the promise you made to my father David. You have made me king over a nation that has as many people as the dust of the earth.

۹ حال‌ای یهوه خدا به وعده خود که به پدرم داوددادی وفا نما زیرا که تو مرا بر قومی که مثل غبار زمین کثیرند پادشاه ساختی.

10 Please give me wisdom and knowledge to lead this people—for who can rule with justice this great people of yours?”

۱۰ الان حکمت ومعرفت را به من عطا فرما تا به حضور این قوم خروج و دخول نمایم زیرا کیست که این قوم عظیم تو را داوری تواند نمود؟»

11 God told Solomon: “Because this is what you really wanted, and you didn't ask for wealth, possessions, or honor, or the death of those who hate you, or for a long life, but instead you asked for wisdom and knowledge so you can rule with justice my people that I have made you king over;

۱۱ خدا به سلیمان گفت: «چونکه این در خاطرتو بود و دولت و توانگری و حشمت و جان دشمنانت را نطلبیدی و نیز طول ایام را نخواستی بلکه به جهت خود حکمت و معرفت رادرخواست کردی تا بر قوم من که تو را بر سلطنت ایشان نصب نموده‌ام داوری نمایی.

12 wisdom and knowledge is given to you. I will give you wealth, possessions, and honor as well, much more than any king who came before you has had, or who comes after you will ever have.”

۱۲ لهذاحکمت و معرفت به تو بخشیده شد و دولت وتوانگری و حشمت را نیز به تو خواهم داد که پادشاهانی که قبل از تو بودند مثل آن را نداشتند وبعد از تو نیز مثل آن را نخواهند داشت.»

13 Then Solomon returned to Jerusalem from the Tent of Meeting in Gibeon, and he ruled over Israel.

۱۳ پس سلیمان از مکان بلندی که در جبعون بود ازحضور خیمه اجتماع به اورشلیم مراجعت کرد وبر اسرائیل سلطنت نمود.

14 Solomon built up an army of chariots and horses. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses, which he placed in the chariot cities, and also with him in Jerusalem.

۱۴ و سلیمان ارابه‌ها و سواران جمع کرده، هزار و چهارصد ارابه و دوازده هزار سوار داشت، و آنها را در شهرهای ارابه‌ها و نزد پادشاه دراورشلیم گذاشت.

15 The king made silver and gold as plentiful in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar wood as plentiful as sycamore-figs trees in the foothills.

۱۵ و پادشاه نقره و طلا را دراورشلیم مثل سنگها و چوب سرو آزاد را مثل چوب افراغ که در همواری است فراوان ساخت.

16 Solomon imported horses for himself from Egypt and Kue; the king's traders bought them in Kue.

۱۶ و اسبهای سلیمان از مصر آورده می‌شد، و تاجران پادشاه دسته های آنها را می‌خریدند هردسته را به قیمت معین.

17 A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred silver shekels, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. In the same way they exported them to all the Hittite kings and the Aramean kings.

۱۷ و یک ارابه را به قیمت ششصد مثقال نقره از مصر بیرون می‌آوردند ومی رسانیدند و یک اسب را به قیمت صد و پنجاه، و همچنین برای جمیع پادشاهان حتیان وپادشاهان ارام به توسط آنها بیرون می‌آوردند.
