2 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the congregation of the Thessalonians in God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ:

Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo, a la asamblea de los tesalonicenses en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo:

2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ.

Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

3 We are obligated to always give thanks to God about you, brothers, and properly so, because your faith is really growing, and the love of each and every one of you towards each other keeps increasing;

Estamos obligados a dar siempre gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como corresponde, porque vuestra fe crece en extremo, y el amor de todos y cada uno de vosotros entre sí abunda,

4 so that we ourselves boast about you among God's congregations, referring to your steadfastness and faith in the midst of all your persecutions, and the tribulations that you are enduring

de modo que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las asambleas de Dios por vuestra perseverancia y fe en todas vuestras persecuciones y en las aflicciones que soportáis.

5 —the above is evidence that God's judgment is right, to the end that you be considered worthy of the Kingdom of God, on behalf of which you are actually suffering;

Esto es una señal evidente del justo juicio de Dios, a fin de que seáis tenidos por dignos del Reino de Dios, por el cual también sufrís.

6 since to God it is right to pay back affliction to those who are afflicting you

Porque es cosa justa para Dios devolver la aflicción a los que os afligen,

7 and rest (along with us) to you who are being afflicted, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels in blazing fire,

y daros alivio a vosotros, que estáis afligidos con nosotros, cuando el Señor Jesús se manifieste desde el cielo con sus poderosos ángeles en fuego ardiente,

8 inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,

castigando a los que no conocen a Dios, y a los que no obedecen la Buena Nueva de nuestro Señor Jesús,

9 who will pay a penalty: everlasting ruin, away from the face of the Lord and from the glory of His might, (aiōnios g166)

que pagará la la destrucción eterna de la faz del Señor y de la gloria de su poderío, (aiōnios g166)

10 whenever He comes to be glorified by His saints, yes to be marveled at by all who have believed (because our testimony to you was believed); in that Day.

cuando venga en aquel día para ser glorificado en sus santos y para ser admirado entre todos los que han creído, porque nuestro testimonio de vosotros fue creído.

11 To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling and fulfill with power every desire of usefulness and work of faith,

Con este fin también rogamos siempre por vosotros, para que nuestro Dios os tenga por dignos de vuestra vocación, y cumpla con fuerza todo deseo de bondad y toda obra de fe,

12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.

para que el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, según la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.
