< Deuteronomy 25 >

1 If there be a controversy between men, and they call upon the judges: they shall give the prize of justice to him whom they perceive to be just: and him whom they find to be wicked, they shall condemn of wickedness.
Raha misy olona manana ady ka mankeo amin’ ny fitsarana ary tsarain’ ny mpitsara, dia aoka hohamarininy izay marina ary hohelohiny kosa izay meloka.
2 And if they see that the offender be worthy of stripes: they shall lay him down, and shall cause him to be beaten before them. According to the measure of the sin shall the measure also of the stripes be:
Ary raha tokony hokapohina ny meloka, dia aoka hampandrin’ ny mpitsara izy ka hokapohina eo anatrehany, ary hatao araka ny helony no isan’ ny kapoka hatao aminy.
3 Yet so, that they exceed not the number of forty: lest thy brother depart shamefully torn before thy eyes.
Hatramin’ ny efa-polo no kapoka azo hatao aminy, fa tsy hatao mihoatra; fandrao raha mihoatra noho izany, dia ho toy ny tsinontsinona eo imasonao ny rahalahinao.
4 Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out thy corn on the floor.
Aza manakombona ny vavan’ ny omby mively vary.
5 When brethren dwell together, and one of them dieth without children, the wife of the deceased shall not marry to another: but his brother shall take her, and raise up seed for his brother:
Raha misy mpirahalahy miara-monina, ary maty momba ny anankiray, dia aoka tsy hanambady vahiny any ivelany ny vadin’ ny maty; fa ny rahalahin’ ny vadiny ihany no aoka hanambady azy ka hitondra loloha azy.
6 And the first son he shall have of her he shall call by his name, that his name be not abolished out of Israel.
Ary ny lahimatoa izay haterany dia hitondra ny anaran’ ilay rahalahy izay efa maty, mba tsy ho faty maso eo amin’ ny Isiraely izy.
7 But if he will not take his brother’s wife, who by law belongeth to him, the woman shall go to the gate of the city, and call upon the ancients, and say: My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up his brother’s name in Israel: and will not take me to wife.
Ary raha tsy sitra-dralehilahy ny hitondra loloha ny vadin-drahalahiny, dia aoka hankeo amin’ ny vavahady ho eo amin’ ny loholona ravehivavy ka hanao hoe: Ny rahalahin’ ny vadiko tsy mety mamelo-maso ny rahalahiny, fa tsy mety mitondra loloha ahy.
8 And they shall cause him to be sent for forthwith, and shall ask him. If he answer: I will not take her to wife:
Dia hantsoin’ ny loholona amin’ ny tanàna ralehilahy ka hadininy; ary raha mikiry izy ka manao hoe: Tsy sitrako ny hanambady azy,
9 The woman shall come to him before the ancients, and shall take off his shoe from his foot, and spit in his face, and say: So shall it be done to the man that will not build up his brother’s house:
dia hanatona azy eo anatrehan’ ny loholona ny vadin-drahalahiny ka hanala ny kapa amin’ ny tongo-dralehilahy, dia handrora amin’ ny tavany ka hiteny hoe: Toy izany no hatao amin’ izay olona tsy mety mamelo-maso ny rahalahiny.
10 And his name shall be called in Israel, the house of the unshod.
Ary ny anaran-dralehilahy dia hatao eo amin’ ny Isiraely hoe: Fianakavian’ ilay nalan-kapa.
11 If two men have words together, and one begin to fight against the other, and the other’s wife willing to deliver her husband out of the hand of the stronger, shall put forth her hand, and take him by the secrets,
Raha misy olona miady, ary ny vadin’ ny anankiray manatona hamonjy ny vadiny amin’ ny tànan’ izay mamely azy, ary maninjitra ny tànany ka mandray azy an-kasarotana,
12 Thou shalt cut off her hand, neither shalt thou be moved with any pity in her regard.
dia hotapahinao ny tànany; tsy hiantra azy ny masonao.
13 Thou shalt not have divers weights in thy bag, a greater and a less:
Aoka tsy hisy vato mahery sy reraka ao an-kitaponao.
14 Neither shall there be in thy house a greater bushel and a less.
Aoka tsy hisy famarana mihoatra sy latsaka ao an-tranonao.
15 Thou shalt have a just and a true weight, and thy bushel shall be equal and true: that thou mayest live a long time upon the land which the Lord thy God shall give thee.
Vato feno lanja sady marina ary famarana tonga ohatra sady marina no aoka hotananao, mba ho maro andro ianao any amin’ ny tany izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao.
16 For the Lord thy God abhorreth him that doth these things, and he hateth all injustice.
Fa fahavetavetana eo imason’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao izay rehetra manao izany zavatra izany, dia izay rehetra manao ny tsy marina.
17 Remember what Amalec did to thee in the way when thou camest out of Egypt:
Tsarovy izay nataon’ ny Amalekita taminao teny an-dalana tamin’ ny nandehananareo avy tany Egypta,
18 How he met thee: and slew the hindmost of the army, who sat down, being weary, when thou wast spent with hunger and labour, and he feared not God.
dia ny nitsenany anao teny an-dalana sy ny namelezany ny vodi-lalanao, dia izay rehetra tsy afaka teo aorianao, raha reraka sy sasatra ianao; fa tsy natahotra an’ Andriamanitra izy.
19 Therefore when the Lord thy God shall give thee rest, and shall have subdued all the nations round about in the land which he hath promised thee: thou shalt blot out his name from under heaven. See thou forget it not.
Ary rehefa omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao fitsaharana amin’ ny fahavalonao rehetra manodidina ianao any amin’ ny tany izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao ho lovanao, dia hovonoinao ny fahatsiarovana ny Amalekita tsy ho eo ambanin’ ny lanitra intsony: aza hadinoinao izany.
