Psalms 54

1 Unto the end. In verses, the understanding of David, when the Ziphites had arrived and they said to Saul, “Has not David been hidden with us?” Save me, O God, by your name, and judge me in your virtue.

聖歌隊の指揮者によって琴をもってうたわせたダビデのマスキールの歌。これはジフびとがサウルにきて、「ダビデはわれらのうちに隠れている」と言った時によんだもの 神よ、み名によってわたしを救い、み力によってわたしをさばいてください。

2 O God, listen to my prayer. Pay attention to the words of my mouth.

神よ、わたしの祈をきき、わが口の言葉に耳を傾けてください。

3 For strangers have risen up against me, and the strong have sought my soul. And they have not set God before their eyes.

高ぶる者がわたしに逆らって起り、あらぶる者がわたしのいのちを求めています。彼らは神をおのが前に置くことをしません。 (セラ)

4 For behold, God is my helper, and the Lord is the protector of my soul.

見よ、神はわが助けぬし、主はわがいのちを守られるかたです。

5 Turn back the evils upon my adversaries, and ruin them by your truth.

神はわたしのあだに災をもって報いられるでしょう。あなたのまことをもって彼らを滅ぼしてください。

6 I will freely sacrifice to you, and I will confess your name, O God, because it is good.

わたしは喜んであなたにいけにえをささげます。主よ、わたしはみ名に感謝します。これはよい事だからです。

7 For you have quickly rescued me from all tribulation, and my eye has looked down upon my enemies.

あなたはすべての悩みからわたしを救い、わたしの目に敵の敗北を見させられたからです。
