Psalms 126

1 A Canticle in steps. When the Lord turned back the captivity of Zion, we became like those who are consoled.

Ko je Gospod ponovno obrnil ujetništvo Siona, smo bili podobni tem, ki sanjajo.

2 Then our mouth was filled with gladness and our tongue with exultation. Then they will say among the nations: “The Lord has done great things for them.”

Tedaj so bila naša usta napolnjena s smehom in naš jezik s petjem. Tedaj so med pogani govorili: » Gospod je zanje storil velike stvari.«

3 The Lord has done great things for us. We have become joyful.

Gospod je za nas storil velike stvari, česar smo veseli.

4 Convert our captivity, O Lord, like a torrent in the south.

Ponovno obrni naše ujetništvo, oh Gospod, kakor vodotoke na jugu.

5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in exultation.

Tisti, ki sejejo s solzami, bodo želi z veseljem.

6 When departing, they went forth and wept, sowing their seeds. But when returning, they will arrive with exultation, carrying their sheaves.

Kdor hodi naprej in joka in prinaša dragoceno seme, bo brez dvoma ponovno prišel z veseljem, nesoč svoje snope s seboj.
