2 Kings 11
1 Truly, Athaliah, the mother of Ahaziah, seeing that her son was dead, rose up and put to death all the royal offspring.
௧அகசியாவின் தாயாகிய அத்தாலியாள் தன் மகன் இறந்துபோனதைக் கண்டபோது, எழும்பி ராஜவம்சத்தார்கள் அனைவரையும் கொலைசெய்தாள்.
2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, the sister of Ahaziah, taking Jehoash, the son of Ahaziah, stole him away from the midst of the sons of the king who were being killed, out of the bedroom, with his nurse. And she hid him from the face of Athaliah, so that he would not be killed.
௨ராஜாவாகிய யோராமின் மகளும் அகசியாவின் சகோதரியுமாகிய யோசேபாள், கொலைசெய்யப்படுகிற ராஜகுமாரரின் நடுவிலிருக்கிற அகசியாவின் மகனாகிய யோவாசை யாருக்கும் தெரியாமல் எடுத்தாள்; அவன் கொல்லப்படாதபடி, அவனையும் அவன் வளர்ப்புத் தாயையும் அத்தாலியாளுக்குத் தெரியாமல் படுக்கையறையில் ஒளித்துவைத்தார்கள்.
3 And he was with her for six years, hidden in the house of the Lord. But Athaliah reigned over the land.
௩இவளோடேகூட அவன் ஆறுவருடங்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தில் மறைத்துவைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தான்; அத்தாலியாள் தேசத்தின்மேல் அரசாட்சிசெய்தாள்.
4 Then, in the seventh year, Jehoiada sent for and took centurions and soldiers, and he brought them to himself in the temple of the Lord. And he formed a pact with them. And taking an oath with them in the house of the Lord, he revealed to them the son of the king.
௪ஏழாம் வருடத்திலே யோய்தா நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளையும் தலைவர்களையும் காவலாளர்களையும் அழைப்பித்து, அவர்களைத் தன்னிடத்தில் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலே வரச்சொல்லி, அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கைசெய்து, அவர்களைக் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலே உடன்படிக்கை செய்துகொண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு ராஜாவின் மகனைக் காண்பித்து,
5 And he commanded them, saying: “This is the word that you must do.
௫அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டிய காரியம் என்னவென்றால், ஓய்வுநாளில் முறைப்படி இங்கே வருகிற உங்களில் மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கு ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையைக் காவல் காக்கவேண்டும்.
6 Let one third part of you enter on the Sabbath, and keep watch on the house of the king. And let one third part be at the gate of Sur. And let one third part be at the gate behind the dwelling place of the shield bearers. And you shall keep the watch on the house of Mesha.
௬மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கு சூர் என்னும் வாசலிலும், மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கு காவலாளர்களின் காவலின் பின்னே இருக்கிற வாசலிலுமிருந்து ஆலயக்காவலைப் பத்திரமாகக் காக்கவேண்டும்.
7 Yet truly, let two parts of you, all who depart on the Sabbath, keep watch over the house of the Lord concerning the king.
௭இப்படியே ஓய்வு நாளில் முறைப்படியே உங்களில் இரண்டு பங்குபேர், ராஜாவினிடத்தில் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் காவல் காக்கவேண்டும்.
8 And you shall surround him, having weapons in your hands. But if anyone will have entered the precinct of the temple, let him be killed. And you shall be with the king, entering and departing.”
௮நீங்கள் அவரவர் தங்கள் ஆயுதங்களைக் கையிலே பிடித்தவர்களாக, ராஜாவைச் சுற்றிலும் வரிசையாக நிற்கவேண்டும்; வரிசைகளுக்குள் புகுந்துவருகிறவன் கொலை செய்யப்படவேண்டும்; ராஜா வெளியே போகும்போதும் உள்ளே வரும்போதும் நீங்கள் அவரோடே இருங்கள் என்றான்.
9 And the centurions acted in accord with all the things that Jehoiada, the priest, had instructed them. And taking each one of their men who would enter on the Sabbath, with those who would depart on the Sabbath, they went to Jehoiada, the priest.
௯ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தா கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகள் செய்து, அவரவர் ஓய்வுநாளில் முறைப்படி வருகிறவர்களும் போகிறவர்களுமாகிய தங்கள் மனிதர்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்.
10 And he gave to them the spears and weapons of king David, which were in the house of the Lord.
௧0ஆசாரியன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தில் தாவீதுராஜா வைத்திருந்த ஈட்டிகளையும் கேடகங்களையும் நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான்.
11 And they stood, each one having his weapons in his hand, before the right side of the temple, all the way to the left side of the altar and of the shrine, surrounding the king.
௧௧காவலாளர்கள் அவரவர் தங்கள் ஆயுதங்களைப் பிடித்தவர்களாக, ஆலயத்தின் வலப்பக்கம் தொடங்கி அதன் இடப்பக்கம்வரை, பலிபீடத்திற்கு எதிராகவும் ஆலயத்திற்கு எதிராகவும் ராஜாவைச் சுற்றிலும் நின்றார்கள்.
12 And he led forth the son of the king. And he placed the diadem on him, and the testimony. And they made him king, and they anointed him. And clapping their hands, they said: “The king lives!”
௧௨அப்பொழுது அவன்: ராஜகுமாரனை வெளியே கொண்டுவந்து, கிரீடத்தை அவன்மேல் வைத்து, சாட்சியின் ஆகமத்தை அவன் கையிலே கொடுத்தான்; இப்படி அவனை ராஜாவாக்கி அபிஷேகம் செய்து: ராஜா வாழ்க என்று சொல்லி கரங்களைத் தட்டினார்கள்.
13 Then Athaliah heard the sound of the people running. And entering to the crowd at the temple of the Lord,
௧௩ஓடிவருகிற மக்களின் ஆரவாரத்தை அத்தாலியாள் கேட்டபோது: அவள் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலுள்ள மக்களிடம் வந்து,
14 she saw the king standing upon a tribunal, according to custom, and the singers and trumpets near him, and all the people of the land rejoicing and sounding the trumpets. And she tore her garments, and she cried out: “Conspiracy! Conspiracy!”
௧௪இதோ, முறைமையின்படியே ராஜா தூண் அருகில் நிற்கிறதையும், ராஜாவின் அருகில் நிற்கிற பிரபுக்களையும், எக்காளம் ஊதுகிறவர்களையும், தேசத்து மக்கள் எல்லோரும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு எக்காளம் ஊதுகிறதையும் கண்டவுடனே, அத்தாலியாள் தன் ஆடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டு: துரோகம் துரோகம் என்று சத்தமிட்டாள்.
15 But Jehoiada gave orders to the centurions who were over the army, and he said to them: “Lead her away, beyond the precinct of the temple. And whoever will have followed her, let him be struck with the sword.” For the priest had said, “Do not allow her to be killed in the temple of the Lord.”
௧௫ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தா இராணுவத்தலைவர்களாகிய நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளானவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டு: இவளை வரிசைகளுக்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோங்கள்; இவளைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனைப் பட்டயத்தாலே வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள் என்றான். யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தில் அவளைக் கொல்லக்கூடாது என்று ஆசாரியன் சொல்லியிருந்தான்.
16 And they laid hands on her. And they pushed her through the way by which horses enter, beside the palace. And she was killed there.
௧௬அவர்கள் அவளுக்கு இடம் உண்டாக்கினபோது, ராஜாவின் அரண்மனைக்குள் குதிரைகள் நுழைகிற வழியிலே அவள் போகும்போது, அவளைக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.
17 Then Jehoiada formed a covenant between the Lord, and the king and the people, so that they would be the people of the Lord; and between the king and the people.
௧௭அப்பொழுது யோய்தா, அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய மக்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, ராஜாவும் மக்களும் கர்த்தரோடே உடன்படிக்கைசெய்யவும், ராஜாவும் மக்களும் ஒருவரோடொருவர் உடன்படிக்கைசெய்யவும் செய்து,
18 And all the people of the land entered the temple of Baal, and they tore down his altars, and they thoroughly crushed the statues. Also, they killed Mattan, the priest of Baal, before the altar. And the priest placed guards in the house of the Lord.
௧௮பின்பு தேசத்தின் மக்கள் எல்லோரும் பாகாலின் கோவிலுக்குப் போய், அதை இடித்து, அதின் பலிபீடங்களையும் சிலைகளையும் முற்றிலும் உடைத்து, பாகாலின் பூசாரியாகிய மாத்தானைப் பலிபீடங்களுக்கு முன்பாகக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள். ஆசாரியன் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை விசாரிக்கும் அதிகாரிகளை ஏற்படுத்தினான்.
19 And he took the centurions, and the legions of the Cherethites and Pelethites, and all the people of the land, and together they led the king from the house of the Lord. And they went by way of the gate of the shield bearers into the palace. And he sat upon the throne of the kings.
௧௯நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளையும், தலைவர்களையும், காவலாளர்களையும் தேசத்தின் மக்களையும் கூட்டி, ராஜாவைக் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து இறங்கச்செய்து, அவனைக் காவலாளர்களின் வாசல் வழியாக ராஜஅரண்மனைக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போனார்கள்; அங்கே அவன் ராஜாக்களுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்தான்.
20 And all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quieted. But Athaliah was slain with the sword at the house of the king.
௨0தேசத்தின் மக்கள் எல்லோரும் மகிழ்ந்து, நகரம் அமைதலானது. அத்தாலியாளையோ ராஜாவின் அரண்மனை அருகில் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.
21 Now Jehoash was seven years old when he had begun to reign.
௨௧யோவாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது ஏழு வயதாயிருந்தான்.
