1 Chronicles 12
1 Also, these went to David at Ziklag, while he was still fleeing from Saul, the son of Kish. And they were very strong and distinguished fighters,
௧தாவீது கீசின் மகனாகிய சவுலால் இன்னும் மறைவாக இருக்கும்போது, சிக்லாகில் இருக்கிற அவனிடம் வந்து,
2 bending the bow, and using either hand in casting stones with slings, and shooting arrows. From the brothers of Saul, out of Benjamin:
௨யுத்தத்திற்கு ஒத்தாசை செய்த வில்வீரர்களும், கவண்கல் எறிவதற்கும் வில்லினால் அம்பு எய்வதற்கும் வலது இடது கை பழக்கமான பலசாலிகளான மற்ற மனிதர்களுமாவன: சவுலின் சகோதரர்களாகிய பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில்,
3 the leader was Ahiezer, with Joash, sons of Shemaah from Gibeah, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, and Beracah and Jehu, from Anathoth.
௩கிபேயா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த சேமாவின் மகன்கள் அகியேசர் என்னும் தலைவனும், யோவாசும், அஸ்மாவேத்தின் மகன்களாகிய எசியேலும், பேலேத்தும், பெராக்கா, ஆனதோத்தியனான ஏகூ என்பவர்களும்,
4 Also, there was Ishmaiah, from Gibeon, the strongest among the thirty and over the thirty; Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, from Gederah;
௪முப்பதுபேர்களில் பலசாலியும் முப்பதுபேர்களுக்குப் பெரியவனுமான இஸ்மாயா என்னும் கிபியோனியனும், எரேமியா, யகாசியேல், யோகனான், கெதேரைச்சேர்ந்த யோசபாத்,
5 and Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphites;
௫எலுசாயி, எரிமோத், பிகலியா, செமரியா, அருப்பியனான செப்பத்தியா,
6 Elkanah, and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, from Carehim;
௬எல்க்கானா, எஷியா, அசாரியேல், யொவேசேர், யசொபெயாம் என்னும் கோராகியர்களும்,
7 and also Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, from Gedor.
௭யொவேலா, செபதியா என்னும் கேதோர் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த எரோகாமின் மகன்களுமே.
8 Then too, from Gad, there went over to David, when he was hiding in the desert, very robust men, who were excellent fighters, taking hold of shield and spear; their faces were like the faces of a lion, and they were swift like the roe deer upon the mountains.
௮காத்தியர்களில் கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்து, சிங்கமுகம் போன்ற முகமும், மலைகளில் இருக்கிற வெளிமான் வேகம் போன்ற வேகமும் உள்ளவர்களாக இருந்து, யுத்தவீரர்களான பலசாலிகள் சிலரும் வனாந்திரத்திலுள்ள பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் இருக்கிற தாவீதுக்கு ஆதரவாக சேர்ந்தார்கள்.
9 Ezer was the leader, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
௯யாரென்றால், ஏசேர் என்னும் தலைவன், அவனுக்கு இரண்டாவது ஒபதியா; மூன்றாவது எலியாப்,
10 Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
௧0நான்காவது மிஸ்மன்னா, ஐந்தாவது எரேமியா,
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
௧௧ஆறாவது அத்தாயி, ஏழாவது ஏலியேல்,
12 Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
௧௨எட்டாவது யோகனான், ஒன்பதாவது எல்சபாத்,
13 Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
௧௩பத்தாவது எரேமியா, பதினோராவது மக்பன்னாயி,
14 These were from the sons of Gad, leaders of the army. The least was in charge of one hundred soldiers, and the greatest was in charge of one thousand.
௧௪காத் மகன்களான இவர்கள் இராணுவத்தலைவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்களில் சிறியவன் நூறுபேர்களுக்கும் பெரியவன் ஆயிரம்பேர்களுக்கும் தலைவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
15 These are the ones who crossed over the Jordan in the first month, when it is accustomed to overflow its banks. And they put to flight all those who were staying in the valleys, to the eastern region and to the west.
௧௫யோர்தான் கரைபுரண்டு போயிருக்கிற முதலாம் மாதத்தில் அதைக் கடந்து, கிழக்கேயும் மேற்கேயும் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் இருக்கிற அனைவரையும் துரத்திவிட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே.
16 Then some from Benjamin and from Judah also arrived at the stronghold where David was staying.
௧௬பின்னும் பென்யமீன் மனிதர்களிலும் யூதா மனிதர்களிலும் சிலர் பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் இருக்கிற தாவீதிடம் வந்தார்கள்.
17 And David went out to meet them, and he said: “If you have arrived peacefully, so as to be a help to me, may my heart be joined to you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, though I have no iniquity in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and judge.”
௧௭தாவீது புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், அவர்களை சந்தித்து: நீங்கள் எனக்கு உதவி செய்ய சமாதானமாக என்னிடம் வந்தீர்களானால், என்னுடைய இருதயம் உங்களோடு இணைந்திருக்கும்; என்னுடைய கைகளில் கொடுமை இல்லாமலிருக்க, என்னை என்னுடைய எதிரிகளுக்குக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்க வந்தீர்களென்றால், நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவன் அதைப் பார்த்துக் கண்டிப்பாராக என்றான்.
18 Truly, the Spirit clothed Amasai, the leader among the thirty, and he said: “O David, we are yours! O son of Jesse, we are for you! Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers. For your God helps you.” Therefore, David received them, and he appointed them as leaders of troops.
௧௮அப்பொழுது அதிபதிகளுக்குத் தலைவனான அமாசாயின்மேல் ஆவி இறங்கியதால், அவன்: “தாவீதே, நாங்கள் உம்முடையவர்கள்; ஈசாயின் மகனே, உமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருப்போம்; உமக்குச் சமாதானம், சமாதானம்; உமக்கு உதவி செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும் சமாதானம்; உம்முடைய தேவன் உமக்குத் துணை நிற்கிறார்” என்றான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீது அவர்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களை படைகளுக்குத் தலைவர்களாக்கினான்.
19 Moreover, some from Manasseh crossed over to David, when he went forth with the Philistines against Saul, so that he might fight. But he did not fight with them. For the leaders of the Philistines, taking counsel, sent him back, saying, “To the peril of our own heads, he will return to his lord, Saul.”
௧௯சவுலின்மேல் யுத்தம்செய்யப்போகிற பெலிஸ்தர்களுடனே தாவீது வருகிறபோது, மனாசேயிலும் சிலர் அவனுக்கு ஆதரவாகச் சேர்ந்தார்கள்; பெலிஸ்தர்களின் பிரபுக்கள் யோசனைசெய்து, அவன் நம்முடைய தலைகளுக்கு மோசமாகத் தன்னுடைய ஆண்டவனாகிய சவுலிற்கு ஆதரவாகப் போவான் என்று அவனை அனுப்பிவிட்டார்கள்; அதனால் அவர்கள் இவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யவில்லை.
20 And so, when he returned to Ziklag, some fled over to him from Manasseh: Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Adnah, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, leaders of thousands in Manasseh.
௨0அப்படியே அவன் சிக்லாகுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போகும்போது, மனாசேயில் அதனாக், யோசபாத், யெதியாயேல், மிகாயேல், யோசபாத், எலிகூ, சில்த்தாயி என்னும் மனாசே கோத்திரத்தார்களின் ஆயிரம்பேர்களுக்கு தலைவர்கள் அவனுக்கு ஆதரவாக வந்தார்கள்.
21 These offered assistance to David against the robbers. For all were very strong men, and they became leaders in the army.
௨௧அந்த படைகளுக்கு விரோதமாக இவர்கள் தாவீதுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்கள்; இவர்களெல்லோரும் பலசாலிகளும் இராணுவத்தில் தலைவர்களுமாக இருந்தார்கள்.
22 Then, too, some came to David throughout each day, in order to help him, until they became a great number, like the army of God.
௨௨அக்காலத்திலே நாளுக்குநாள் தாவீதுக்கு உதவிசெய்யும் மனிதர்கள் அவனிடம் வந்து சேர்ந்ததால், அவர்கள் தேவசேனையைப்போல பெரிய சேனையானார்கள்.
23 Now this is the number of the leaders of the army who went to David when he was at Hebron, so that they might transfer the kingdom of Saul to him, in accord with the word of the Lord:
௨௩யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, சவுலின் ராஜ்ஜியபாரத்தைத் தாவீதிடம் திருப்ப, எப்ரோனில் இருக்கிற அவனிடம் வந்த போர்வீரர்களான தலைவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை:
24 the sons of Judah, carrying shield and spear, six thousand eight hundred, equipped for battle;
௨௪யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்து, யுத்த போர்வீரர்களானவர்கள் ஆறாயிரத்து எண்ணூறுபேர்.
25 from the sons of Simeon, very strong men for the fight, seven thousand one hundred;
௨௫சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் பலசாலிகளாகிய யுத்தவீரர்கள் ஏழாயிரத்து நூறுபேர்.
26 from the sons of Levi, four thousand six hundred;
௨௬லேவி கோத்திரத்தில் நான்காயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்.
27 as well as Jehoiada, a leader from the stock of Aaron, and with him three thousand seven hundred;
௨௭ஆரோன் சந்ததியார்களின் அதிபதியாகிய யோய்தாவும், அவனோடு இருந்த மூவாயிரத்து எழுநூறுபேர்களும்,
28 and then Zadok, a youth of distinguished qualities, and the house of his father, twenty-two leaders;
௨௮பலசாலியான சாதோக் என்னும் வாலிபனும், அவனுடைய தகப்பன் வம்சத்தார்களான இருபத்திரண்டு தலைவர்களுமே.
29 and from the sons of Benjamin, brothers of Saul, three thousand, for still a great part of them were following the house of Saul.
௨௯பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தார்களான சவுலின் சகோதரர்களில் மூவாயிரம்பேர்; அதுவரைக்கும் அவர்களில் மிச்சமானவர்கள் சவுலின் குடும்பத்தைக் காப்பாற்றப்பார்த்தார்கள்.
30 Then from the sons of Ephraim, there were twenty thousand eight hundred, very strong and robust men, renowned among their kindred.
௩0எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் தங்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் பெயர் பெற்ற மனிதர்களான பலசாலிகள் இருபதாயிரத்து எண்ணூறுபேர்.
31 And out of the one half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, each by their names, went forth so that they might appoint David as king.
௩௧மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தில் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக்க வரும்படி, பெயர்பெயராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பதினெட்டாயிரம்பேர்.
32 Also, from the sons of Issachar, there were learned men, who knew each of the times, in order to anticipate what Israel ought to do, two hundred leaders. And all the remainder of the tribe were following their counsel.
௩௨இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில், இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று அறிந்து காலாகாலங்களுக்குத் தகுந்த யோசனை சொல்லத்தக்க தலைவர்கள் இருநூறுபேரும், இவர்கள் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடுத்த இவர்களுடைய எல்லா சகோதரர்களுமே.
33 Then, from Zebulun, there were those who went forth to battle, and who were standing in a battle line, prepared with the weapons of warfare; these fifty thousand arrived to assist, without duplicity of heart.
௩௩செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் சகலவித யுத்த ஆயுதங்களாலும் யுத்தம் செய்வதற்கும், தங்களுடைய அணியைக் காத்து நிற்பதற்கும் பழகி, வஞ்சனை செய்யாமல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகத்தக்கவர்கள் ஐம்பதாயிரம்பேர்.
34 And from Naphtali, there were one thousand leaders; and with them were thirty-seven thousand, prepared with shield and spear.
௩௪நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் ஆயிரம் தலைவர்கள் கேடகமும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்த அவர்களோடு இருந்தவர்கள் முப்பத்தேழாயிரம்பேர்.
35 And then from Dan, there were twenty-eight thousand six hundred, ready for battle.
௩௫தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்குத் தேறினவர்கள் இருபத்து எட்டாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்.
36 And from Asher, there were forty thousand, going forth to fight, and summoned to the battle line.
௩௬ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்குத் தேறினவர்களாக போர்செய்யப்போகத்தக்கவர்கள் நாற்பதாயிரம்பேர்.
37 Then, across the Jordan, there were, from the sons of Reuben, and from Gad, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh, one hundred twenty thousand, prepared with the weapons of warfare.
௩௭யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையான ரூபனியர்களிலும், காத்தியர்களிலும், மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தார்களிலும், யுத்தம்செய்ய எல்லாவித ஆயுதங்களையும் அணிந்தவர்கள் நூற்றிருபதாயிரம்பேர்.
38 All these men of war, equipped for the fight, went with a perfect heart to Hebron, so that they might appoint David as king over all of Israel. Then, too, all the remainder of Israel were of one heart, so that they might make David king.
௩௮தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக்க, இந்த யுத்தமனிதர்கள் எல்லோரும் அணி அணியாய் வைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக, உத்தம இதயத்தோடு எப்ரோனுக்கு வந்தார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலில் மற்ற அனைவரும் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக்க ஒருமனப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
39 And they were in that place with David for three days, eating and drinking. For their brothers had made preparations for them.
௩௯அவர்கள் அங்கே தாவீதோடு மூன்று நாட்கள் இருந்து, சாப்பிட்டுக் குடித்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் சகோதரர்கள் அவர்களுக்காக எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆயத்தம்செய்திருந்தார்கள்.
40 Moreover, those who were near to them, even as far as Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali, were bringing, on donkeys and camels and mules and oxen, bread for their provisions, with grain, dried figs, dried grapes, wine, oil, and oxen and sheep, with all abundance. For indeed, there was joy in Israel.
௪0இசக்கார், செபுலோன், நப்தலியின் எல்லைவரை அவர்களுக்கு அருகில் இருந்தவர்களும், கழுதைகள்மேலும், ஒட்டகங்கள்மேலும், கோவேறு கழுதைகள்மேலும், மாடுகள்மேலும், தின்பண்டங்களாகிய மா, அத்திப்பழ அடைகள், உலர்ந்த திராட்சைப்பழங்கள், திராட்சைரசம், எண்ணெய், ஆடுமாடுகள் ஆகிய இவைகளைத் தேவையான அளவு ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலிலே மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டானது.
