Psalms 41

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. Blessed [is the man] who thinks, on the poor and needy: the Lord shall deliver him in an evil day.

Al la ĥorestro. Psalmo de David. Feliĉa estas tiu, kiu atentas senhavulon: En tago de mizero savos lin la Eternulo.

2 May the Lord preserve him and keep him alive, and bless him on the earth, and not deliver him into the hands of his enemy.

La Eternulo lin gardos kaj vivigos; Li estos feliĉa sur la tero, Kaj Vi ne transdonos lin al la volo de liaj malamikoj.

3 May the Lord help him upon the bed of his pain; you have made all his bed in his sickness.

La Eternulo fortigos lin sur la lito de malsano; Lian tutan kuŝejon Vi aliigas en la tempo de lia malsano.

4 I said, O Lord, have mercy upon me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against you.

Mi diris: Ho Eternulo, kompatu min; Sanigu mian animon, ĉar mi pekis antaŭ Vi.

5 Mine enemies have spoken evil against me, [saying], When shall he die, and his name perish?

Miaj malamikoj parolas malbonon pri mi, dirante: Kiam li mortos kaj lia nomo pereos?

6 And if he came to see [me], his heart spoke vainly; he gathered iniquity to himself; he went forth and spoke in like manner.

Kaj se iu venas, por vidi min, li parolas malsincere; Lia koro serĉas malbonon; Kaj, elirinte eksteren, li ĝin disparolas.

7 All my enemies whispered against me; against me they devised my hurt.

Mallaŭte parolas inter si pri mi ĉiuj miaj malamikoj; Ili pensas malbonon pri mi, dirante:

8 They denounced a wicked word against me, [saying], Now that he lies, shall he not rise up again?

Afero pereiga atakis lin; Kaj ĉar li kuŝiĝis, li jam ne plu leviĝos.

9 For even the man of my peace, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, lifted up [his] heel against me.

Eĉ mia konfidato, kiun mi fidis, kiu manĝis mian panon, Levis kontraŭ min la piedon.

10 But you, O Lord, have compassion upon me, and raise me up, and I shall requite them.

Sed Vi, ho Eternulo, korfavoru min kaj restarigu min, Por ke mi povu repagi al ili.

11 By this I know that you have delighted in me, because mine enemy shall not rejoice over me.

Per tio mi scios, ke Vi favoras min, Se mia malamiko ne triumfos super mi.

12 But you did help me because of [mine] innocence, and have established me before you for ever.

Kaj min Vi subtenos pro mia senkulpeco, Kaj Vi starigos min antaŭ Via vizaĝo por ĉiam.

13 Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. So be it, so be it.

Glorata estu la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael, De eterne ĝis eterne. Amen, kaj amen!
