Kings II 20
1 And there was a transgressor [so] called there, and his name was Sabee, a Benjamite, the son of Bochori: and he blew the trumpet, and said, We have no portion in David, neither have we [any] inheritance in the son of Jessae: to your tents, O Israel, every one.
और वहाँ एक शरीर बिनयमीनी था और उसका नाम सबा' बिन बिक्री था, उसने नरसिंगा फूँका और कहा कि “दाऊद में हमारा कोई हिस्सा नहीं और न हमारी मीरास यस्सी के बेटे के साथ है, ऐ इस्राईलियों अपने अपने डेरे को चले जाओ।”
2 And all the men of Israel went up from following David after Sabee the son of Bochori: but the men of Juda adhered to their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.
इसलिए सब इस्राईली दाऊद की पैरवी छोड़ कर सबा' बिन बिक्री के पीछे हो लिए लेकिन यहूदाह के लोग यरदन से येरूशलेम तक अपने बादशाह के साथ ही रहे।
3 And David went into his house at Jerusalem: and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and he put them in a place of custody, and maintained them, and went not in to them; and they were kept living as widows, till the day of their death.
और दाऊद येरूशलेम में अपने महल में आया और बादशाह ने अपनी उन दस बाँदियों को जिनको वह अपने घर की निगहबानी के लिए छोड़ गया था, लेकर उनको नज़र बंद कर दिया और उनकी परवरिश करता रहा लेकिन उनके पास न गया, इसलिए उन्होंने अपने मरने के दिन तक नज़र बंद रहकर रंडापे की हालत में ज़िन्दगी काटी।
4 And the king said to Amessai, Call to me the men of Juda for three days, and do you be present here.
और बादशाह ने 'अमासा को हुक्म किया कि “तीन दिन के अन्दर बनी यहूदाह को मेरे पास जमा' कर और तू भी यहाँ हाज़िर हो।”
5 And Amessai went to call Juda, and delayed beyond the time which David appointed him.
तब 'अमासा बनी यहूदाह को बुलाने गया, लेकिन वह मुताअय्यन वक़्त से जो उसने उसके लिए मुक़र्रर किया था ज़्यादा ठहरा।
6 And David said to Amessai, Now shall Sabee the son of Bochori do us more harm than Abessalom: now then take you with you the servants of your lord, and follow after him, lest he find for himself strong cities, so will he blind our eyes.
तब दाऊद ने अबीशै से कहा कि “सबा' बिन बिक्री तो हमको अबीसलोम से ज़्यादा नुक़सान पहुँचायेगा फिर तू अपने मालिक के ख़ादिमों को लेकर उसका पीछा कर ऐसा न हो कि वह दीवारदार शहरों को लेकर हमारी नज़र से बच निकले।”
7 And there went out after him Amessai and the men of Joab, and the Cherethites, and the Phelethites, and all the mighty men: and they went out from Jerusalem to pursue after Sabee the son of Bochori.
तब योआब के आदमी और करैती और फ़लेती और सब बहादुर उसके पीछे हो लिए और येरूशलेम से निकले ताकि सबा' बिन बिक्री का पीछा करें।
8 And they [were] by the great stone that is in Gabaon: and Amessai went in before them: and Joab had upon him a military cloak over his apparel, and over it he was girded with a dagger fastened upon his loins in its scabbard: and the dagger came out, it even came out and fell.
और जब वह उस बड़े पत्थर के नज़दीक पहुँचे जो जिब'ऊन में है तो 'अमासा उनसे मिलने को आया और योआब अपना जंगी लिबास पहने था और उसके ऊपर एक पटका था जिस से एक तलवार मियान में पड़ी हुई उसके कमर में बंधी थी और उसके चलते चलते वह निकल पड़ी।
9 And Joab said to Amessai, Are you in health, [my] brother? and the right hand of Joab took hold of the beard of Amessai to kiss him.
तब योआब ने 'अमासा से कहा, “ऐ मेरे भाई तू ख़ैरियत से है?” और योआब ने 'अमासा की दाढ़ी अपने दहने हाथ से पकड़ी कि उसको बोसा दे।
10 And Amessai observed not the dagger that was in the hand of Joab: and Joab struck him with it on the loins, and his bowels were shed out upon the ground, and he did not repeat the blow, and he died: and Joab and Abessai his brother pursued after Sabee the son of Bochori.
और 'अमासा ने उस तलवार का जो योआब के हाथ में थी ख़्याल न किया, इसलिए उसने उससे उसके पेट में ऐसा मारा कि उसकी अंतड़ियाँ ज़मीन पर निकल पड़ीं और उसने दूसरा वार न किया, इसलिए वह मर गया, फिर योआब और उसका भाई अबीशै सबा' बिन बिक्री का पीछा करने चले।
11 And there stood over him one of the servants of Joab, and said, Who [is] he that is for Joab, and who [is] on the side of David following Joab?
और योआब के जवानों में से एक शख़्स उसके पास खड़ा हो गया और कहने लगा कि “जो कोई योआब से राज़ी है और जो कोई दाऊद की तरफ़ है वह योआब के पीछे होले।”
12 And Amessai [was] weltering in blood in the midst of the way. And a man saw that all the people stood still; and he removed Amessai out of the path into a field, and he cast a garment upon him, because he saw every one that came to him standing still.
और 'अमासा सड़क के बीच अपने ख़ून में लोट रहा था और उस शख़्स ने देखा कि सब लोग खड़े हो गये हैं, तो वह 'अमासा को सड़क पर से मैदान को उठा ले गया और जब यह देखा कि जो कोई उसके पास आता है खड़ा हो जाता है, तो उस पर एक कपड़ा डाल दिया।
13 And when he was quickly removed from the road, every man of Israel passed after Joab to pursue after Sabee the son of Bochori.
और जब वह सड़क पर से हटा लिया गया, तो सब लोग योआब के पीछे सबा' बिन बिक्री का पीछा करने चले।
14 And he went through all the tribes of Israel to Abel, and to Bethmacha; and all in Charri too were assembled, and followed after him.
और वह इस्राईल के सब क़बीलों में से होता हुआ अबील और बैत मा'का और सब बेरियों तक पहुँचा और वह भी जमा' होकर उसके पीछे चले।
15 And they came and besieged him in Abel and Phermacha: and they raised a mound against the city and it stood close to the wall; and all the people with Joab proposed to throw down the wall.
और उन्होंने आकर उसे अबील बैत मा'का में घेर लिया शहर के सामने ऐसा दमदमा बाँधा कि वह दीवार के बराबर रहा और सब लोगों ने जो योआब के साथ थे दीवार को तोड़ना शुरू' किया ताकि उसे गिरा दें।
16 And a wise woman cried from the wall, and said, Hear, hear; say, I pray you, to Joab, Draw near hither, and I will speak to him.
तब एक 'अक़्लमन्द 'औरत शहर में से पुकार कर कहने लगी कि “ज़रा योआब से कह दो कि यहाँ आए ताकि मैं उससे कुछ कहूँ।”
17 And he drew near to her, and the woman said to him, Are you Joab? and he said, I [am]. And she said to him, Hear the words of your handmaid; and Joab said, I do hear.
तब वह उसके नज़दीक आया, उस 'औरत ने उससे कहा, “क्या तू योआब है?” उसने कहा, “हाँ” तब वह उससे कहने लगी, “अपनी लौंडी की बातें सुन।” उसने कहा, “मैं सुनता हूँ।”
18 And she spoke, saying, Of old time they said thus, Surely one was asked in Abel, and Dan, whether the faithful in Israel failed in what they purposed; they will surely ask in Abel, even in like manner, whether they have failed.
तब वह कहने लगी कि “पुराने ज़माना में यूँ कहा करते थे कि वह ज़रूर अबील में सलाह पू छेंगे और इस तरह वह बात को ख़त्म करते थे।
19 I am a peaceful one of the strong ones in Israel; but you seek to destroy a city and a mother city in Israel: why do you seek to ruin the inheritance of the Lord?
और मैं इस्राईल में उन लोगों में से हूँ जो सुलह पसंद और दयानतदार हैं, तू चाहता है कि एक शहर और माँ को इस्राईलियों के बीच हलाक करे, फिर तू क्यूँ ख़ुदावन्द की मीरास को निगलना चाहता है?”
20 And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should ruin or destroy.
योआब ने जवाब दिया, “मुझसे हरगिज़ ऐसा न हो कि मैं निगल जाऊँ या हलाक करूँ।
21 Is not the case thus, that a man of mount Ephraim, Sabee, son of Bochori by name, has even lifted up his hand against king David? Give him only to me, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said to Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to you over the wall.
बात यह नहीं है बल्कि इफ़्राईम के पहाड़ी मुल्क के एक शख़्स ने जिसका नाम सबा' बिन बिक्री है बादशाह या'नी दाऊद के ख़िलाफ़ हाथ उठाया है इसलिए सिर्फ़ उसी को मेरे हवाले कर देते तो मैं शहर से चला जाऊँगा।” उस 'औरत ने योआब से कहा, “देख उसका सिर दीवार पर से तेरे पास फेंक दिया जाएगा।”
22 And the woman went in to all the people, and she spoke to all the city in her wisdom; and they took off the head of Sabee the son of Bochori; and took it away and threw it to Joab: and he blew the trumpet, and the people separated from the city away from him, every man to his tent: and Joab returned to Jerusalem to the king.
तब वह 'औरत अपनी दानाई से सब लोगों के पास गई, फिर उसने सबा'बिन बिक्री का सिर काट कर उसे बाहर योआब की तरफ़ फेंक दिया, तब उसने नरसिंगा फूँका और लोग शहर से अलग होकर अपने अपने डेरे को चले गये और योआब येरूशलेम को बादशाह के पास लौट आया।
23 And Joab [was] over all the forces of Israel: and Banaias the son of Jodae [was] over the Cherethites and over the Phelethites.
और योआब इस्राईल के सारे लश्कर का सरदार था, और बिनायाह बिन यहूयदा' करेतियों और फलेतियों का सरदार था।
24 And Adoniram [was] over the tribute: and Josaphath the son of Achiluth [was] recorder.
और अदूराम ख़िराज का दरोग़ा था और अख़ीलूद का बेटा यहूसफ़त मुवर्रिख़ था।
25 And Susa [was] scribe: and Sadoc and Abiathar [were] priests.
और सिवा मुन्शी था और सदूक़ और अबीयातर काहिन थे।
26 Moreover Iras the [son of] Iarin was priest to David.
और 'ईरा याइरी भी दाऊद का एक काहिन था।
