Kings I 2
1 My heart is established in the Lord, my horn is exalted in my God; my mouth is enlarged over my enemies, I have rejoiced in your salvation.
और हन्ना ने दुआ की और कहा, मेरा दिल ख़ुदावन्द मैं ख़ुश है: मेरा सींग ख़ुदावन्द के तुफ़ैल से ऊँचा हुआ। मेरा मुँह मेरे दुश्मनों पर खुल गया है क्यूँकि मैं तेरी नजात से ख़ुश हूँ।
2 For there is none holy as the Lord, and there is none righteous as our God; there is none holy besides you.
“ख़ुदावन्द की तरह कोई पाक नहीं क्यूँकि तेरे सिवा और कोई है ही नहीं और न कोई चटटान है जो हमारे ख़ुदा की तरह हो
3 Boast not, and utter not high things; let not high-sounding words come out of your mouth, for the Lord [is] a God of knowledge, and God prepares his own designs.
इस क़दर ग़ुरूर से और बातें न करो और बड़ा बोल तुम्हारे मुहँ से न निकले; क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा — ए — 'अलीम है, और 'आमाल का तोलने वाला है।
4 The bow of the mighty has waxed feeble, and the weak have girded themselves with strength.
ताक़तवरों की कमाने टूट गईं और जो लड़खड़ाते थे वह ताक़त से कमर बस्ता हुए।
5 They that were full of bread are brought low; and the hungry have forsaken the land; for the barren has born seven, and she that abounded in children has waxed feeble.
वह जो आसूदा थे रोटी की ख़ातिर मज़दूर बनें और जो भूके थे ऐसे न रहे, बल्कि जो बाँझ थी उस के साथ हुए, और जिसके पास बहुत बच्चे हैं वह घुलती जाती है।
ख़ुदावन्द मारता है और जिलाता है; वही क़ब्र मैं उतारता और उससे निकालता है। (Sheol h7585)
7 The Lord makes poor, and makes rich; he brings low, and lifts up.
ख़ुदावन्द ग़रीब कर देता और दौलतमंद बनाता है, वही पस्त करता और बुलंद भी करता है।
8 He lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises the needy from the dunghill; to seat him with the princes of the people, and causing them to inherit the throne of glory:
वह ग़रीब को ख़ाक पर से उठाता, और कंगाल को घूरे में से निकाल खड़ा करता है ताकि इनको शहज़ादों के साथ बिठाए, और जलाल के तख़्त का वारिस बनाए; क्यूँकि ज़मीन के सुतून ख़ुदावन्द के हैं उसने दुनिया को उन ही पर क़ाईम किया है।
9 granting his petition to him that prays; and he blesses the years of the righteous, for by strength can’t man prevail.
वह अपने मुक़द्दसों के पाँव को संभाले रहेगा, लेकिन शरीर अँधेरे मैं ख़ामोश किए जायेंगे क्यूँकि ताक़त ही से कोई फ़तह नहीं पाएगा।
10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
जो ख़ुदावन्द से झगड़ते हैं वह टुकड़े टुकड़े कर दिए जाएँगे; वह उन के ख़िलाफ़ आस्मान में गरजेगा ख़ुदावन्द ज़मीन के किनारों का इंसाफ करेगा, वह अपने बादशाह को ताक़त बख़्शेगा, और अपने मम्सूह के सींग को बुलंद करेगा।”
11 and departed to Armathaim: and the child ministered in the presence of the Lord before Heli the priest.
तब इल्क़ाना रामा को अपने घर चला गया; और एली काहिन के सामने वह लड़का ख़ुदावन्द की ख़िदमत करने लगा।
12 And the sons of Heli the priest [were] evil sons, not knowing the Lord.
और एली के बेटे बहुत शरीर थे; उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द को न पहचाना।
13 And the priest's claim from every one of the people that sacrificed [was this: ] the servant of the priest came when the flesh was in seething, and a flesh-hook of three teeth [was] in his hand.
और काहिनों का दस्तूर लोगों के साथ यह था, कि जब कोई शख़्स क़ुर्बानी करता था तो काहिन का नोंकर गोश्त उबालने के वक़त एक सहशाखा काँटा अपने हाथ मैं लिए हुए आता था;
14 And he struck it into the great cauldron, or into the brazen vessel, or into the pot, and whatever came up with the flesh-hook, the priest took for himself: so they did to all Israel that came to sacrifice to the Lord in Selom.
और उसको कढ़ाह या दिग्चे या हांडे या हांड़ी में डालता और जितना गोश्त उस काँटे में लग जाता उसे काहिन अपने आप लेता था। यूँ ही वह शीलोह में सब इस्राईलियों से किया करते थे जो वहाँ आते थे
15 And before the fat was burnt for a sweet savour, the servant of the priest would come, and say to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest, and I will by no means take of you sodden flesh out of the cauldron.
बल्कि चर्बी जलाने से पहले काहिन का नोकर आ मौजूद होता, और उस शख़्स से जो क़ुर्बानी पेश करता यह कहने लगता था, “काहिन के लिए कबाब के वास्ते गोश्त दे, क्यूँकि वह तुझ से उबला हुआ गोश्त नहीं बल्कि कच्चा लेगा।”
16 And [if] the man that sacrificed said, First let the fat be burnt, as it is fit, and take for yourself of all things which your soul desires: then he would say, Nay, for you shall give it me now; and if not I will take it by force.
और अगर वह शख़्स यह कहता कि अभी वह चर्बी को ज़रूर जलायेंगे तब जितना तेरा जी चाहे ले लेना “तो वह उसे जवाब देता नहीं तू मुझे अभी दे नही तो मैं छीन कर ले जाऊँगा।”
17 So the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for they set at nothing the offering of the Lord.
इसलिए उन जवानों का गुनाह ख़ुदावन्द के सामने बहुत बड़ा था क्यूँकि लोग ख़ुदावन्द की क़ुर्बानी से नफ़रत करने लगे थे।
18 And Samuel ministered before the Lord, a child girded with a linen ephod.
लेकिन समुएल जो लड़का था, कतान का अफ़ूद पहने हुए ख़ुदावन्द के सामने ख़िदमत करता था।
19 And his mother made him a little doublet, and brought it to him from year to year, in her going up in company with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.
और उस की माँ उस के लिए एक छोटा सा जुब्बा बनाकर साल ब साल लाती जब वह अपने शौहर के साथ सालाना क़ुर्बानी पेश करने आती थी।
20 And Heli blessed Helcana and his wife, saying The Lord recompense to you seed of this woman, in return for the loan which you have lent to the Lord: and the man returned to his place.
और एली ने इल्क़ाना और उस की बीवी को दुआ दी और कहा, “ख़ुदावन्द तुझको इस 'औरत से उस क़र्ज़ के बदले में जो ख़ुदावन्द को दिया गया नसल दे।” फिर वह अपने घर गये।
21 And the Lord visited Anna, and she bore yet three sons, and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.
और ख़ुदावन्द ने हन्ना पर नज़र की और वह हामिला हुई, और उसके तीन बेटे और दो बेटियाँ हुईं, और वह लड़का समुएल ख़ुदावन्द के सामने बढ़ता गया।
22 And Heli [was] very old, and he heard what his sons did to the children of Israel.
एली बहुत बुड्ढा हो गया था, और उसने सब कुछ सुना कि उसके बेटे सारे इस्राईल से क्या किया करते हैं और उन 'औरतों से जो ख़ेमा — ए — इजितमा'अ के दरवाज़े पर ख़िदमत करती थी हम आग़ोशी करते हैं।
23 And he said to them, Why do you according to this thing, which I hear from the mouth of all the people of the Lord?
और उस ने उन से कहा, तुम ऐसा क्यूँ करते हो? क्यूँकि मैं तुम्हारी बदज़ातियाँ पूरी क़ौम से सुनता हूँ?
24 Nay [my] sons, for the report which I hear [is] not good; do not so, for the reports which I hear [are] not good, so that the people do not serve God.
नहीं मेरे बेटों ये अच्छी बात नहीं जो मैं सुनता हूँ; तुम ख़ुदावन्द के लोगों से नाफ़रमानी कराते हो।
25 If a man should at all sin against another, then shall they pray for him to the Lord; but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall entreat for him? But they listened not to the voice of their father, because the Lord would by all means destroy them.
अगर एक आदमी दूसरे का गुनाह करे तो ख़ुदा उसका इंसाफ करेगा लेकिन अगर आदमी ख़ुदावन्द का गुनाह करे तो उस की शफ़ा'अत क़ौन करेगा? बावजूद इसके उन्होंने अपने बाप का कहना न माना; क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द उनको मार डालना चाहता था।
26 And the child Samuel advanced, and was in favour with God and with men.
और वह लड़का समुएल बढ़ता गया और ख़ुदावन्द और इंसान दोनों का मक़बूल था।
27 And a man of God came to Heli, and said, Thus says the Lord, I plainly revealed myself to the house of your father, when they were servants in Egypt to the house of Pharao.
तब एक नबी एली के पास आया और उससे कहने लगा, ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है क्या मैं तेरे आबाई ख़ानदान पर जब वह मिस्र में फ़िर'औन के ख़ानदान की ग़ुलामी में था ज़ाहिर नहीं हुआ?
28 And I chose the house of your father out of all the tribes of Israel to minister to me in the priest's office, to go up to my altar, and to burn incense, and to wear an ephod. And I gave to the house of your father all the offerings by fire of the children of Israel for food.
और क्या मैंने उसे बनी इस्राईल के सब क़बीलों में से चुन न लिया, ताकि वह मेरा काहिन हो और मेरे मज़बह के पास जाकर ख़ुशबू जलाये और मेरे सामने अफ़ूद पहने और क्या मैंने सब क़ुर्बानियाँ जो बनी इस्राईल आग से अदा करते है तेरे बाप को न दी?
29 And therefore have you looked upon my incense-offering and my meat-offering with a shameless eye, and have honoured your sons above me, so that they should bless themselves with the first fruits of every sacrifice of Israel before me?
तब तुम क्यूँ मेरे उस क़ुर्बानी और हदिये को जिनका हुक्म मैंने अपने घर में दिया लात मारते हो? और क्यूँ तू अपने बेटों की मुझ से ज़्यादा 'इज़्ज़त करता है, ताकि तुम मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल के अच्छे से अच्छे हदियों को खाकर मोटे बनो।
30 Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel, I said, Your house and the house of your father shall pass before me for ever: but now the Lord says, That be far from me; for I will only honour them that honour me, and he that sets me at nothing shall be despised.
इसलिए ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल का ख़ुदा फ़रमाता है कि मैंने तो कहा, था कि तेरा घराना और तेरे बाप का घराना हमेशा मेरे सामने चलेगा लेकिन अब ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है कि यह बात अब मुझ से दूर हो, क्यूँकि वह जो मेरी 'इज़्ज़त करते है मैं उन की 'इज़्ज़त करूँगा लेकिन वह जो मेरी हिक़ारत करते है बेक़द्र होंगे
31 Behold, the days come when I will destroy your seed and the seed of your father's house.
देख वह दिन आते हैं कि मैं तेरा बाज़ू और तेरे बाप के घराने का बाज़ू काट डालूँगा, कि तेरे घर में कोई बुड्ढा होने न पाएगा।
32 And you shall not have an old man in my house for ever.
और तू मेरे घर की मुसीबत देखेगा बावजूद उस सारी दौलत के जो ख़ुदा इस्राईल को देगा और तेरे घर में कभी कोई बुड्ढा होने न पाएगा
33 And [if] I do not destroy a man of your from my altar, [it shall be] that his eyes may fail and his soul may perish; and every one that remains in your house shall fall by the sword of men.
और तेरे जिस आदमी को मैं अपने मज़बह से काट नहीं डालूँगा वह तेरी आँखों को घुलाने और तेरे दिल को दुख देने के लिए रहेगा और तेरे घर की सब बढ़ती अपनी भरी जवानी में मर मिटेगी।
34 And this which shall come upon your two sons Ophni and Phinees shall be a sign to you; in one day they shall both die.
और जो कुछ तेरे दोनों बेटों हुफ़्नी फ़ीन्हास पर नाज़िल होगा वही तेरे लिए निशान ठहरेगा; वह दोनों एक ही दिन मर जाएँगे।
35 And I will raise up to myself a faithful priest, who shall do all that is in my heart and in my soul; and I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before my Christ for ever.
और मैं अपने लिए एक वफ़ादार काहिन पैदा करूँगा जो सब कुछ मेरी मर्ज़ी और मंशा के मुताबिक़ करेगा, और मैं उस के लिए एक पायदार घर बनाऊँगा और वह हमेशा मेरे मम्सूह के आगे आगे चलेगा
36 And it shall come to pass that he that survives in your house, shall come to do obeisance before him for a little piece of silver, saying, Put me into one of your priest's offices to eat bread.
और ऐसा होगा की हर एक शख्स़ जो तेरे घर में बच रहेगा, एक टुकड़े चाँदी और रोटी के एक टुकड़े के लिए उस के सामने आकर सिज्दा करेगा और कहेगा, कि कहानत का कोई काम मुझे दीजिए ताकि मैं रोटी का निवाला खा सकूँ।
