< Song of Songs 6 >

1 Whither is thy kinsman gone, thou beautiful among women? whither has thy kinsman turned aside? [tell us], and we will seek him with thee.
Siye ngaphi isithandwa sakho, wena omuhle phakathi kwabesifazana? Siphendukele ngaphi isithandwa sakho, ukuze sisidinge kanye lawe?
2 My kinsman is gone down to his garden, to the beds of spice, to feed [his flock] in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
Isithandwa sami sehlele esivandeni saso, emibhedeni yamakha, ukudla ezivandeni, lokukha imiduze.
3 I am my kinsman's, and my kinsman is mine, who feeds among the lilies.
Ngingowesithandwa sami, lesithandwa sami singesami, esidla phakathi kwemiduze.
4 Thou art fair, my companion, as Pleasure, beautiful as Jerusalem, terrible as [armies] set in array.
Umuhle, mthandwa wami, njengeTiriza, uyabukeka njengeJerusalema, uyesabeka njengebutho eliphethe iziboniso.
5 Turn away thine eyes from before me, for they have ravished me: thy hair is as flocks of goats which have appeared from Galaad.
Susa amehlo akho kimi ngoba ayanginqoba. Inwele zakho zinjengomhlambi wembuzi zisehla eGileyadi.
6 Thy teeth are as flocks of shorn [sheep], that have gone up from the washing, all of them bearing twins, and there is none barren among them: thy lips are as a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely.
Amazinyo akho anjengomhlambi wezimvukazi ezikhuphuka ekugezisweni, okuthi zonke zazo zizele amaphahla, njalo kungekho eyinyumba phakathi kwazo.
7 Thy cheek is like the rind of a pomegranate, [being seen] without thy veil.
Inhlafuno zakho phakathi kweveyili lakho zinjengocezu lwepomegranati.
8 There are sixty queens, and eighty concubines, and maidens without number.
Kukhona izindlovukazi ezingamatshumi ayisithupha, labafazi abancane abangamatshumi ayisificaminwembili, lezintombi ezingelanani.
9 My dove, my perfect one is one; she is the [only] one of her mother; she is the choice of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and the queens will pronounce her blessed, yea, and the concubines, and they will praise her.
Linye ijuba lami, opheleleyo wami, nguye yedwa kunina, ongokhethiweyo wakhe owamzalayo. Amadodakazi ambona, ambusisa, izindlovukazi labafazi abancinyane, bambabaza.
10 Who is this that looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon, choice as the sun, terrible as [armies] set in array?
Ngubani lo obonakala njengokusa, omuhle njengenyanga, ocwebileyo njengelanga, owesabeka njengebutho eliphethe iziboniso?
11 I went down to the garden of nuts, to look at the fruits of the valley, to see if the vine flowered, [if] the pomegranates blossomed.
Ngehlela esivandeni senkelo ukubona okuhlumayo esigodini, ukubona ukuthi ivini liyahluma, amapomegranati ayakhahlela yini.
12 There I will give thee my breasts: my soul knew [it] not: it made me as the chariots of Aminadab.
Ngingakazi umphefumulo wami wangimisa ezinqoleni zobukhosi zabantu bakithi.
13 Return, return, O Sunamite; return, return, and we will look at thee. What will ye see in the Sunamite? She comes as bands of armies.
Phenduka, phenduka, mShulami, phenduka, phenduka, ukuze sikubuke. Limbukelani umShulami? Kunjengexuku lamabutho amabili.
