Psalms 119
1 Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
Glückselig, die unsträflich leben und in des Herrn Gesetzen wandeln!
2 Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
Glückselig sind, die seine Bräuche achten und ihn von ganzem Herzen suchen,
3 For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
die nie ein Unrecht tun und die auf seinen Wegen wandeln!
4 Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.
Du selbst gibst Deine Vorschriften, daß man genau sie halte.
5 O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.
Ach, wäre fest mein Wandel in der Befolgung Deiner Ordnungen!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
Dann werde ich niemals zuschanden, beacht ich alle Deine Satzungen.
7 I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.
Ich danke Dir von Herzensgrunde, wenn ich erlerne Deine so gerechten Weisungen.
8 I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
Genau beachten will ich Deine Vorschriften. Verlaß mich nicht dabei!
9 Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.
Wodurch erhält ein Jüngling seinen Wandel rein? Wenn er sich hält an Deine Worte.
10 With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.
Von ganzem Herzen suche ich Dich auf. Entfremde mich nicht Deinen Satzungen!
11 I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
In meinem Herzen berge ich Dein Wort, auf daß ich wider Dich nicht sündige.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.
Gepriesen seist Du, Herr! Gewöhne mich an Deine Ordnungen!
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Auswendig sag ich auf all Deine mündlichen Gebote.
14 I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
Ich freue mich des Weges hin zu Deinen Zeugnissen weit mehr als über irgendwelche Schätze.
15 I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.
Was Du befiehlst, dem sinn ich nach und schaue hin auf Deine Pfade.
16 I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.
Mit Deinen Ordnungen befasse ich mich gern, vergesse nicht Dein Wort.
17 Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.
Gewähre Deinem Knechte, daß ich leben bleibe! Dann halte ich Dein Wort.
18 Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.
Entschleiere mir das Auge, daß ich schaue, was wunderbar an Deiner Lehre!
19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
Ein Fremdling bin ich in dem Lande. Verbirg mir nimmer Deine Satzungen!
20 My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.
In Sehnsucht meine Seele sich verzehrt nach Deinen Weisungen zu jeder Zeit.
21 Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.
Du schiltst die Frechen. Verfluchst, die Deine Satzungen mißachten!
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.
Wend Spott und Hohn von mir; denn Deine Zeugnisse, ich achte sie!
23 For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.
Ob Fürsten auch sich wider mich beraten, Dein Knecht beherzigt dennoch Deine Ordnungen.
24 For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.
Ja, Wonne sind mir Deine Zeugnisse, Wegweiser sind mir Deine Vorschriften.
25 My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.
Am Staube klebe ich. Erhalte mich nach Deinem Wort am Leben!
26 I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.
Ich lege meine Wege dar, und Du erhörst mich. Gewöhne mich an Deine Satzungen!
27 Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.
Gib Einsicht mir ins Wesen Deiner Vorschriften! Dann will ich Deine Wunder überdenken.
28 My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.
Vor Leid weint meine Seele. Richt mich nach Deinem Worte auf!
29 Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.
Halt fern von mir den Pfad der Untreue! Zu eigen gib mir Deine Lehre gnädiglich!
30 I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.
Den Weg der Treue wähle ich, befolge Deine Weisungen.
31 I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
Ich hänge fest an Deinen Zeugnissen. Herr, laß mich nicht zuschanden werden!
32 I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
Ich laufe auf dem Wege Deiner Ordnungen; Du machst mir weit das Herz.
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
Zeig mir den Weg zu Deinen Vorschriften, o Herr! Ich will ihn mit Bedacht einhalten.
34 Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
Gib Einsicht mir, daß ich befolge Deine Lehre und sie mit ganzem Herzen hüte!
35 Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.
Laß Deiner Satzung Pfad mich wallen! Denn Freude habe ich daran.
36 Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Zu Deinen Bräuchen lenke hin mein Herz und nicht zur Eigenliebe!
37 Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.
Lenk meine Augen ab vom Schielen nach dem Eitlen! Auf Deinen Wegen laß mich Leben finden!
38 Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.
Bewähr an Deinem Knecht Dein Wort, das zu der Ehrfurcht vor Dir leiten soll!
39 Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.
Nimm meine Schmach hinweg, daß ich gezweifelt, ob Deine Weisungen auch heilsam seien!
40 Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
Nach Deinen Vorschriften verlangt es mich. In Deiner Liebe laß mich leben!
41 And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
Herr! Deine Gnade komme über mich, Dein Heil nach Deinem Worte,
42 And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.
daß ich entgegne meinem Schmäher! Denn Deinem Wort vertraue ich.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.
Versag nicht meinem Mund das rechte Wort! Auf Deine Weisung harr ich sehnsuchtsvoll.
Stets will ich Deiner Lehre folgen, für immer und auf ewig,
45 I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.
nach ihr, der überreichen, wandeln. Nach Deinen Vorschriften verlangt es mich.
46 And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
Vor Königen selbst rede ich von Deinen Zeugnissen ohn alle Scheu.
47 And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
Ich habe meine Lust an Deinen Satzungen; ich liebe sie.
48 And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.
Ich rege meine Hände eifervoll für Deine so geliebten Satzungen und sinne über Deine Ordnungen.
49 Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.
Gedenke Deinem Diener jenes Wort, auf das Du mich fest hoffen lässest!
50 This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.
Dies ist mein Trost in meinem Leid, daß Lebensmut Dein Wort mir gibt.
51 The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.
So sehr Vermessene meiner spotten, ich weiche nicht von Deiner Lehre.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
An Deine Weisungen, die alten, denke ich und fühle mich getröstet, Herr.
53 Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.
Der Frevler wegen packt mich Zornesglut, die Deine Lehre schnöd verlassen.
54 Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
Zu Lobesliedern sind mir Deine Ordnungen geworden im Haus, wo ich als Fremdling weile.
55 I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.
Ich denke, Herr, an Deinen Namen in der Nacht, an Deine Lehre selbst in mitternächtiger Stunde.
56 This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.
Zum Grundsatz ward mir dies, weil ich um Deine Vorschriften mich kümmere:
57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.
"Mein Alles ist der Herr", das deut ich so: Ich muß die Worte Dein beachten.
58 I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.
Von ganzem Herzen werbe ich um Deine Huld. Sei gnädig mir nach Deinem Wort!
59 I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
Ich überlege meine Wege und lenke meine Füß hin zu Deinen Zeugnissen.
60 I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.
Ich eile, säume nicht, zu halten Deine Satzungen.
61 The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.
Der Frevler Stricke wollen mich umfangen; doch ich vergesse nimmer Deine Lehre.
62 At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.
Um Mitternacht erhebe ich mich schon und danke Dir für Deine Weisungen, die so gerecht,
63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.
im Wetteifer mit allen, die Dich fürchten, die Deine Vorschriften befolgen.
64 O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.
Voll Deiner Gnade ist die Erde, Herr. Gewöhne mich an Deine Satzungen!
65 Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.
Du tust an Deinem Knechte Gutes, nach Deinem Worte, Herr.
66 Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
So lehre mich heilsame Sitte und Erkenntnis! Denn Deinen Satzungen vertraue ich.
67 Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.
Bevor ich leiden mußte, irrte ich; nun aber halte ich Dein Wort.
68 Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.
Du bist so gut und handelst gut. Gewöhne mich an Deine Satzungen!
69 The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.
Mir dichten Freche Falsches an; ich aber halte Deine Vorschriften aus ganzem Herzen.
70 Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.
Ihr Herz ist stumpf wie Fett; doch ich ergötze mich an Deiner Lehre.
71 [It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.
Mir war es heilsam, daß ich litt, damit ich mich an Deine Ordnungen gewöhnte.
72 The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
Dein mündliches Gesetz gilt mir weit mehr als tausend Stücke Gold und Silber.
73 Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.
Von Deiner Hand bin ich geschaffen und gebildet. Verleih mir Einsicht, daß ich mich an Deine Satzungen gewöhne!
74 They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.
Mit Freuden sehen, die Dich fürchten, daß ich mich auf Dein Wort verlasse.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.
Ich weiß es, Herr: Gerecht sind Deine Weisungen; in bester Absicht hast Du mich gezüchtigt.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
Zum Troste sei mir Deine Huld, wie Deinem Knechte Du verheißen
77 Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)
Laß Dein Erbarmen mich erquicken! Denn Deine Lehre ist mir Lust.
78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.
Schmach über diese Frechen, weil grundlos sie zu Unrecht mich bezichtigen! Ich sinne über Deine Vorschriften.
79 Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.
Sie mögen sich durch mich in solche wandeln, die fürchten Dich und schätzen lernen Deine Zeugnisse!
80 Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
Unfehlbar sei mein Herz in Deinen Ordnungen, damit ich nicht erröten muß!
81 My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.
Nach Deinem Heile schmachtet meine Seele, ich harre Deines Wortes.
82 Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Nach Deinem Worte schmachten meine Augen: "Wann bringt's mir Trost?"
83 For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
Bin ich auch wie ein Schlauch im Rauche, vergesse ich doch niemals Deine Ordnungen.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
Wieviel sind noch der Tage Deines Knechtes? Wann richtest Du, die mich verfolgen?
85 Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.
Mir graben Freche Gruben in dem, was Deiner Lehre nicht entspricht.
86 All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.
Was Du befiehlst, ist lautre Wahrheit; grundlos verfolgt man mich. Komm mir zu Hilfe!
87 They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.
Beinah vertilgten sie mich von der Erde; doch laß ich nicht von Deinen Vorschriften.
88 Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
Nach Deiner Huld erhalte mich am Leben, daß Deines Mundes Lehre ich befolge!
89 Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
Dein Wort ist für die Ewigkeiten, Herr; dem Himmel gleich, so steht es fest gegründet.
90 Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.
Durch alle Zeiten währet Deine Treue, wie Du die Erde für die Dauer hast gegründet.
91 The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.
Für Deine Winke steht sie heut bereit; denn alles ist Dir untertan.
92 Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
Wenn Deine Lehre mir nicht Wonne wäre, vergangen wäre ich in meinem Leid.
93 I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.
Nie will ich Deine Vorschriften vergessen; denn Du verleihst mir dadurch Lebenskraft.
94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.
Dein bin ich. Steh mir bei! Denn ich durchforsche Deine Vorschriften.
95 Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.
Mir lauern Frevler auf, mich umzubringen; doch ich vertiefe mich in Deine Zeugnisse.
96 have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.
Bei allem anderen, was enden soll, ersehe ich ein Ende; doch Dein Gebot ist übergroß.
97 How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
Wie lieb ich Deine Lehre! Sie ist mein täglich Sinnen.
98 Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.
Mich macht weit klüger Deine Satzung, als meine Feinde sind; denn ich besitze sie für immer.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.
Verständiger noch werde ich als alle meine Lehrer; denn Deine Zeugnisse sind all mein Sinnen.
100 I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.
An Einsicht übertreff ich Greise; denn ich beachte Deine Satzungen.
101 I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.
Ich wehre meinem Fuße jeden bösen Weg, auf daß ich Deines Wortes pflege.
102 I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.
Ich weiche nicht von deinen Weisungen; denn Du belehrest mich.
103 How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
Wie süß sind meinem Gaumen Deine Worte, weit süßer meinem Mund als Honigseim!
104 I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
Verständig werde ich durch Deine Vorschriften; drum hasse ich auch jeden falschen Pfad.
105 Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
Dein Wort ist meines Fußes Leuchte, ein Licht auf meinem Pfade.
106 I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.
Ich hab's mir eidlich vorgenommen, was Du gerecht befohlen, auch zu halten.
107 I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.
Ich bin gar tief gebeugt. Nach Deinem Worte, Herr, belebe mich!
108 Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
Laß, Herr, Dir meines Mundes Übungen gefallen! Gewöhne mich an Deine Weisungen!
109 My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.
Mein Leben ist beständig in Gefahr; doch ich vergesse Deine Lehre nicht.
110 Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.
Mir legen Frevler Schlingen; ich irre nimmer ab von Deinen Vorschriften. -
111 I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
Ein ewig Erbgut sind mir Deine Zeugnisse; ja, Herzenswonne sind sie mir.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].
Ich neige hin mein Herz, zu tun, was Du befiehlst, für immer auf das eifrigste.
113 I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.
Ich hasse Zweifler; doch Deine Lehre liebe ich.
114 Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.
Mein Schirm und Schild bist Du; ich harre Deines Wortes.
115 Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
Hinweg von mir, ihr Übeltäter! Ich will ja meines Gottes Satzungen befolgen.
116 Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
Nach Deinem Worte stärke mich, auf daß ich lebe! Beschäme mich in meiner Hoffnung nicht!
117 Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.
Halt Du mich fest, daß ich gerettet werde! Ich schaue stets nach Deinen Ordnungen.
118 Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
Die sich vergehn an Deinen Ordnungen, die wirfst Du weg; denn Trug ist all ihr Sinnen.
119 I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
Die Frevler all auf Erden achtest Du wie Schlacken; drum liebe ich auch Deine Zeugnisse.
120 Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.
Aus Furcht vor Dir erschaudert mir die Haut; Ich fürchte mich vor Deinen Strafgerichten.
121 I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
Das Rechte tu ich und das Gute. Gib meinen Drängern mich nicht preis!
122 Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
Vertritt zu seinem Besten Deinen Knecht, daß nicht die Stolzen mir Gewalt antun!
123 Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
Nach Deiner Hilfe schmachten meine Augen, nach Deiner Heilsverheißung.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.
Verfahr mit Deinem Knecht nach Deiner Huld! Gewöhne mich an Deine Ordnungen!
125 I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.
Dein Knecht bin ich. Belehre mich, auf daß ich Deine Bräuche wohl verstehe!
126 [It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.
's ist Zeit, sich für den Herrn zu regen; sie wollen Dein Gesetz abschaffen.
127 Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
Drum liebe ich auch Deine Satzungen viel mehr als Gold, als selbst das feinste Gold.
128 Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
Drum habe ich all Deine Vorschriften mir auserwählt; ich hasse jeden falschen Weg.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
Geheimnisvoll sind Deine Zeugnisse drum achtet ihrer meine Seele.
130 The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
Dein Wort erschließen spendet Licht; es macht die Einfalt klug.
131 I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.
Begierig öffne ich den Mund; denn mich verlangt nach Deinen Satzungen.
132 Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.
Wend Dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, wie's Rechtens ist für die, die Deinen Namen lieben!
133 Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
In Deinem Wort mach meine Schritte fest! Laß nicht das Böse herrschen über mich!
134 Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.
Von Menschendruck befreie mich, damit ich Deine Vorschriften befolge!
135 Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.
Laß Deinem Knecht Dein Antlitz leuchten! Gewöhne mich an Deine Ordnungen!
136 Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.
Aus meinen Augen strömen Wasserbäche für die, die Deine Lehre nicht befolgen.
137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
Gerecht bist Du, o Herr, und Deine Weisungen sind recht.
138 Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.
Ganz recht sind Deine Bräuche, die Du bestimmst, und lauter Wahrheit.
139 Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
Mein Eifer zehrt mich auf, daß meine Gegner Deine Worte so vergessen.
140 Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.
Dein Wort ist rein geläutert; Dein Knecht hat's lieb.
141 I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
Gering, verachtet bin ich zwar; doch ich vergesse nimmer Deine Vorschriften.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
Dein Recht bleibt ewig Recht; Wahrheit ist Deine Lehre.
143 Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)
Mich treffen Not und Angst; doch Wonne sind mir Deine Satzungen.
144 Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
Allzeit sind Deine Bräuche richtig. Gib Einsicht mir, daß ich am Leben bleibe!
145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.
Von ganzem Herzen rufe ich: "Herr, höre mich! Ich möchte Deine Ordnungen befolgen!"
146 I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
"Hilf mir!" so rufe ich zu Dir. "Ich möchte Deine Zeugnisse beachten."
147 I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
Zur Zeit der Dämmerung erheb ich mich und flehe; ich harre Deines Wortes.
148 Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.
Bevor der Morgen graut, sind meine Augen wach, Dein Wort zu überdenken.
149 Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.
Nach Deiner Huld erhöre mein Gebet! Wie's Deine Art ist, laß mich leben!
150 They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.
Die nach dem Laster jagen, kommen diesem immer näher und Deiner Lehre immer ferner.
151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.
Jedoch auch Du bist nahe, Herr; all Deine Satzungen sind Wahrheit.
152 I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
Von Urzeit her, so weiß ich es von Deinen Zeugnissen, Du hast sie eingesetzt für immer.
153 Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.
Sieh her auf meine Not und rette mich! Ich habe Deine Lehre nicht vergessen.
154 Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.
Zu meiner Rettung führe meine Sache! Nach Deinem Worte laß mich leben!
155 Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.
Den Frevlern ferne ist das Heil, weil sie nach Deinen Ordnungen nichts fragen.
156 Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.
Gar groß ist Dein Erbarmen, Herr. Laß mich, wie's Deine Art ist, leben!
157 Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.
Obschon mich viele drängen und verfolgen, so weiche ich doch nicht von Deinen Zeugnissen.
158 I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.
Erblick ich Treulose, streit ich mit ihnen, dieweil Dein Wort sie nicht beachten.
159 Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.
Wie gerne hab ich Deine Vorschriften! Erhalte mich nach Deiner Huld am Leben, Herr!
160 The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.
Beständigkeit ist Deines Wortes Eigenart; für immer gelten Deine so gerechten Weisungen.
161 Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.
Von Fürsten werd ich ohne Grund verfolgt; doch nur vor Deinem Worte bebt mein Herz.
162 I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
Ich freue mich ob Deines Wortes, wie der, so reiche Beute findet.
163 I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.
Mit großem Abscheu hasse ich die Falschheit; nur Deine Lehre liebe ich.
164 Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.
Ich preise Dich des Tages siebenmal für Deine so gerechten Weisungen.
165 Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.
Die Deine Lehre lieben, ernten reichen Frieden; für sie gibt's keinen Anstoß mehr.
166 I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.
Ich harre Deines Heiles, Herr, und Deine Satzungen befolge ich.
167 My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
Auf Deine Zeugnisse hat meine Seele acht und liebt sie über alle Maßen.
168 I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.
Ich achte Deine Vorschriften und Bräuche; all meine Wege liegen ja vor Dir.
169 Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.
Laß vor Dich kommen, Herr, mein Flehen! Nach Deinem Worte gib mir Einsicht!
170 Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.
Mein Flehen komme vor Dein Angesicht! Errette mich nach Deinem Wort!
171 Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.
Ein Loblied ström von meinen Lippen, gewöhnst Du mich an Deine Ordnungen!
172 Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.
Dein Wort besinge meine Zunge! Denn alle Deine Satzungen sind Recht.
173 Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.
Zum Beistand reiche mir die Hand! Denn Deine Vorschriften hab ich erwählt.
174 I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
Nach Deinem Heil verlangt's mich, Herr, und Wonne ist mir Deine Lehre.
175 My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.
So möge leben meine Seele und Dich preisen, und dazu mögen mir verhelfen Deine Weisungen!
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
Wie ein verloren Schäflein irre ich umher. Such Deinen Knecht! Denn ich vergesse niemals Deine Satzungen.
