Psalms 119
1 Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
[Die Anfangsbuchstaben der Abteilungen dieses Psalmes folgen im Hebr. der alphabetischen Ordnung, und zwar beginnen alle 8 Verse jeder Abteilung mit demselben Buchstaben] N Glückselig, die im Wege untadelig sind, die da wandeln im Gesetze Jehovas!
2 Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
Glückselig, die seine Zeugnisse bewahren, die von ganzem Herzen ihn suchen,
3 For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
Die auch kein Unrecht tun, in seinen Wegen wandeln!
4 Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.
Du hast deine Vorschriften geboten, um sie fleißig zu beobachten.
5 O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.
O daß meine Wege gerichtet wären, [d. h. daß ihnen die rechte Richtung gegeben wäre; vergl. Hiob 11,13] um deine Satzungen zu beobachten!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
Dann werde ich nicht beschämt werden, wenn ich achthabe auf alle deine Gebote.
7 I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.
Preisen werde ich dich in Aufrichtigkeit [O. Geradheit] des Herzens, wenn ich gelernt habe die Rechte [d. h. die Urteile, Entscheidungen; so auch v 43. 52. 62 usw.] deiner Gerechtigkeit.
8 I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
Deine Satzungen werde ich beobachten; verlaß mich nicht ganz und gar!
9 Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.
Wodurch wird ein Jüngling seinen Pfad in Reinheit wandeln? [Eig. reinigen od. rein erhalten] Indem er sich bewahrt [Eig. auf der Hut ist] nach deinem Worte.
10 With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.
Mit meinem ganzen Herzen habe ich dich gesucht: laß mich nicht abirren von deinen Geboten!
11 I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
In meinem Herzen habe ich dein Wort verwahrt, auf daß ich nicht wider dich sündige.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.
Gepriesen seiest du, Jehova! lehre mich deine Satzungen!
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Mit meinen Lippen habe ich erzählt alle Rechte deines Mundes.
14 I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
An dem Wege deiner Zeugnisse habe ich mich erfreut wie über allen Reichtum.
15 I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.
Über deine Vorschriften will ich sinnen und achthaben auf deine Pfade.
16 I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.
An deinen Satzungen habe ich meine Wonne; deines Wortes werde ich nicht vergessen.
17 Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.
Tue wohl an deinem Knechte, so werde ich leben; und ich will dein Wort bewahren.
18 Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.
Öffne meine Augen, damit ich Wunder schaue in [Eig. aus] deinem Gesetz!
19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
Ein Fremdling bin ich im Lande, [O. auf Erden] verbirg nicht vor mir deine Gebote!
20 My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.
Zermalmt ist meine Seele vor Verlangen nach deinen Rechten zu aller Zeit.
21 Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.
Gescholten hast du die Übermütigen, die Verfluchten, welche abirren von deinen Geboten.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.
Wälze von mir Hohn und Verachtung! denn deine Zeugnisse habe ich bewahrt. [O. bewahre ich]
23 For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.
Sitzen auch Fürsten und bereden sich wider mich, dein Knecht sinnt über deine Satzungen.
24 For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.
Deine Zeugnisse sind auch meine Wonne, meine Ratgeber.
25 My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.
Am Staube klebt meine Seele; belebe mich nach deinem Worte!
26 I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.
Meine Wege habe ich erzählt, und du hast mich erhört; lehre mich deine Satzungen!
27 Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.
Laß mich verstehen den Weg deiner Vorschriften, und sinnen will ich über deine Wundertaten.
28 My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.
Vor Traurigkeit zerfließt in Tränen meine Seele; richte mich auf [O. halte mich aufrecht] nach deinem Worte!
29 Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.
Wende von mir ab den Weg der Lüge [O. Falschheit; so auch v 104 u. 128] und gewähre mir dein Gesetz!
30 I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.
Den Weg der Treue habe ich erwählt, habe vor mich gestellt deine Rechte.
31 I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
Ich hange an deinen Zeugnissen; Jehova, laß mich nicht beschämt werden!
32 I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
Den Weg deiner Gebote werde ich laufen, wenn du Raum gemacht haben wirst meinem Herzen.
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
Lehre mich, Jehova, den Weg deiner Satzungen, und ich will ihn bewahren bis ans Ende.
34 Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
Gib mir Einsicht, und ich will dein Gesetz bewahren und es halten von ganzem Herzen.
35 Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.
Laß mich wandeln auf dem Pfade deiner Gebote! denn an ihm habe ich meine Lust.
36 Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Neige mein Herz zu deinen Zeugnissen und nicht zum Gewinn!
37 Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.
Wende meine Augen ab, daß sie Eitles nicht sehen! belebe mich in deinen Wegen!
38 Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.
Bestätige [O. Halte aufrecht] deinem Knechte deine Zusage, welche deiner Furcht entspricht!
39 Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.
Wende ab meinen Hohn, den ich fürchte! denn deine Rechte sind gut.
40 Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
Siehe, ich verlange nach deinen Vorschriften; belebe mich in deiner Gerechtigkeit!
41 And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
Und laß über mich kommen deine Gütigkeiten, Jehova, deine Rettung nach deiner Zusage!
42 And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.
So werde ich Antwort geben dem mich Höhnenden; denn ich vertraue auf dein Wort.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.
Und entziehe meinem Munde nicht gänzlich das Wort der Wahrheit! denn ich harre auf deine Rechte.
Und halten will ich dein Gesetz beständig, immer und ewiglich.
45 I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.
Und ich werde wandeln in weitem Raume; denn nach deinen Vorschriften habe ich getrachtet.
46 And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
Und vor Königen will ich reden von deinen Zeugnissen und mich nicht schämen.
47 And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
Und ich werde meine Wonne haben an deinen Geboten, die ich liebe,
48 And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.
Und werde meine Hände aufheben zu deinen Geboten, die ich liebe; und über deine Satzungen will ich sinnen.
49 Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.
Gedenke des Wortes an deinen Knecht, auf welches du mich hast harren lassen!
50 This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.
Dies ist mein Trost in meinem Elende, daß deine Zusage mich belebt hat. [O. Das ist, denn deine Zusage hat mich belebt]
51 The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.
Die Übermütigen haben mich über die Maßen verspottet; von deinem Gesetz bin ich nicht abgewichen.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
Ich gedachte, Jehova, deiner Rechte von alters her, und ich tröstete mich.
53 Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.
Zornglut hat mich ergriffen wegen der Gesetzlosen, die dein Gesetz verlassen.
54 Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
Deine Satzungen sind meine Gesänge gewesen im Hause meiner Fremdlingschaft.
55 I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.
Des Nachts habe ich deines Namens gedacht, Jehova, und ich habe dein Gesetz gehalten.
56 This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.
Dies ist mir geschehen, weil [O. mir geworden, daß] ich deine Vorschriften bewahrt habe.
57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.
Mein Teil, Jehova, habe ich gesagt, ist, deine Worte zu bewahren. [O. Mein Teil ist Jehova, habe ich gesagt, um deine Worte zu bewahren]
58 I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.
Von ganzem Herzen habe ich dich angefleht; sei mir gnädig nach deiner Zusage!
59 I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
Ich habe meine Wege überdacht, und meine Füße gekehrt zu deinen Zeugnissen.
60 I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.
Ich habe geeilt und nicht gesäumt, deine Gebote zu halten.
61 The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.
Die Bande der Gesetzlosen haben mich umgeben; dein Gesetz habe ich nicht vergessen.
62 At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.
Um Mitternacht stehe ich auf, um dich zu preisen wegen der Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit.
63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.
Ich bin der Gefährte aller, die dich fürchten, und derer, die deine Vorschriften beobachten.
64 O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.
Von deiner Güte, Jehova, ist die Erde erfüllt; lehre mich deine Satzungen!
65 Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.
Du hast Gutes getan an deinem Knechte, Jehova, nach deinem Worte.
66 Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
Gute Einsicht und Erkenntnis lehre mich! denn ich habe deinen Geboten geglaubt.
67 Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.
Bevor ich gedemütigt ward, irrte ich; jetzt aber bewahre ich dein Wort.
68 Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.
Du bist gut und guttätig; lehre mich deine Satzungen!
69 The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.
Lügen haben die Übermütigen wider mich erdichtet; ich bewahre [O. werde bewahren] deine Vorschriften von ganzem Herzen.
70 Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.
Ihr Herz ist dick geworden wie Fett; ich habe meine Wonne an deinem Gesetz.
71 [It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.
Es ist gut für mich, daß ich gedemütigt ward, damit ich deine Satzungen lernte.
72 The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
Besser ist mir das Gesetz deines Mundes als Tausende von Gold und Silber.
73 Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.
Deine Hände haben mich gemacht und bereitet; gib mir Einsicht, und ich will deine Gebote lernen.
74 They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.
Die dich fürchten, werden mich sehen und sich freuen; denn ich habe auf dein Wort geharrt.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.
Ich weiß, Jehova, daß deine Gerichte Gerechtigkeit sind und daß du mich gedemütigt hast in Treue.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
Laß doch deine Güte mir zum Troste sein, nach deiner Zusage an deinen Knecht!
77 Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)
Laß deine Erbarmungen über mich kommen, so werde ich leben; denn dein Gesetz ist meine Wonne.
78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.
Laß beschämt werden die Übermütigen! denn sie haben mich gebeugt [d. h. in meinem Rechte] ohne Grund; ich, ich sinne über deine Vorschriften.
79 Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.
Laß sich zu mir kehren, die dich fürchten und die deine Zeugnisse kennen!
80 Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
Laß mein Herz untadelig sein in deinen Satzungen, damit ich nicht beschämt werde!
81 My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.
Meine Seele schmachtet nach deiner Rettung, ich harre auf dein Wort.
82 Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Meine Augen schmachten nach deiner Zusage, indem ich spreche: Wann wirst du mich trösten?
83 For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
Denn wie ein Schlauch im Rauche bin ich geworden; deine Satzungen habe ich nicht vergessen.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
Wie viele werden der Tage deines Knechtes sein? Wann wirst du Gericht üben an meinen Verfolgern?
85 Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.
Die Übermütigen haben mir Gruben gegraben, sie, die nicht nach deinem Gesetz sind.
86 All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.
Alle deine Gebote sind Treue. Sie haben mich verfolgt ohne Grund: hilf mir!
87 They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.
Wenig fehlte, so hätten sie mich vernichtet auf der Erde; [O. im Lande] ich aber, ich habe deine Vorschriften nicht verlassen.
88 Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
Belebe mich nach deiner Güte, und ich will bewahren das Zeugnis deines Mundes.
89 Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
In Ewigkeit, Jehova, steht dein Wort fest in den Himmeln;
90 Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.
Von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht währt deine Treue; du hast die Erde festgestellt, und sie steht.
91 The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.
Nach deinen Verordnungen stehen sie heute da, denn alle Dinge [Eig. das Ganze, d. h. das ganze Weltall] dienen dir.
92 Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
Wäre nicht dein Gesetz meine Wonne gewesen, dann würde ich umgekommen sein in meinem Elende.
93 I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.
Nimmermehr werde ich deine Vorschriften vergessen, denn durch sie hast du mich belebt.
94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.
Ich bin dein, rette mich! denn ich habe nach deinen Vorschriften getrachtet.
95 Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.
Die Gesetzlosen haben mir aufgelauert, um mich umzubringen; ich achte auf deine Zeugnisse.
96 have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.
Von aller Vollkommenheit habe ich ein Ende gesehen; sehr ausgedehnt ist dein Gebot.
97 How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
Wie liebe ich dein Gesetz! Es ist mein Sinnen den ganzen Tag.
98 Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.
Weiser als meine Feinde machen mich deine Gebote, denn immer sind sie bei mir. [W. denn ewiglich sind sie mein]
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.
Verständiger bin ich als alle meine Lehrer, denn deine Zeugnisse sind mein Sinnen.
100 I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.
Mehr Einsicht habe ich als die Alten, denn deine Vorschriften habe ich bewahrt.
101 I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.
Von jedem bösen Pfade habe ich meine Füße zurückgehalten, damit ich dein Wort bewahre.
102 I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.
Nicht bin ich von deinen Rechten gewichen, denn du, du hast mich unterwiesen.
103 How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
Wie süß sind meinem Gaumen deine Worte, mehr als Honig meinem Munde!
104 I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
Aus deinen Vorschriften empfange ich Einsicht; darum hasse ich jeden Lügenpfad.
105 Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
Dein Wort ist Leuchte meinem Fuße und Licht für meinen Pfad.
106 I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.
Ich habe geschworen und halte es aufrecht, zu beobachten die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit.
107 I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.
Ich bin über die Maßen gebeugt; Jehova, belebe mich nach deinem Worte!
108 Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
Laß dir doch wohlgefallen, Jehova, die freiwilligen Opfer meines Mundes, lehre mich deine Rechte!
109 My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.
Mein Leben ist stets in meiner Hand, [d. h. stets in Gefahr] aber dein Gesetz habe ich nicht vergessen.
110 Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.
Die Gesetzlosen haben mir eine Schlinge gelegt, aber von deinen Vorschriften bin ich nicht abgeirrt.
111 I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
Deine Zeugnisse habe ich mir als Erbteil genommen auf ewig, denn meines Herzens Freude sind sie.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].
Ich habe mein Herz geneigt, deine Satzungen zu tun ewiglich bis ans Ende.
113 I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.
Die Doppelherzigen hasse ich, und ich liebe dein Gesetz.
114 Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.
Mein Bergungsort und mein Schild bist du; auf dein Wort harre ich.
115 Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
Weichet von mir, ihr Übeltäter: ich will die Gebote meines Gottes bewahren.
116 Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
Unterstütze mich nach deiner Zusage, so werde ich leben; und laß mich nicht beschämt werden in meiner Hoffnung!
117 Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.
Stütze mich, so werde ich gerettet werden; und ich will stets schauen auf deine Satzungen.
118 Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
Verworfen hast du alle, die von deinen Satzungen abirren; denn Lüge ist ihr Trug.
119 I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
Wie Schlacken hast du hinweggeräumt alle Gesetzlosen der Erde; darum liebe ich deine Zeugnisse.
120 Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.
Vor deinem Schrecken schaudert mein Fleisch, und ich fürchte mich vor deinen Gerichten. [O. Urteilen, Rechten]
121 I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
Ich habe Recht und Gerechtigkeit geübt; überlaß mich nicht meinen Bedrückern!
122 Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
Sei Bürge für deinen Knecht zum Guten; laß die Übermütigen mich nicht bedrücken!
123 Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
Meine Augen schmachten nach deiner Rettung und nach der Zusage deiner Gerechtigkeit.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.
Handle mit deinem Knechte nach deiner Güte, und lehre mich deine Satzungen!
125 I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.
Dein Knecht bin ich, gib mir Einsicht, so werde ich deine Zeugnisse erkennen.
126 [It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.
Es ist Zeit für Jehova zu handeln: sie haben dein Gesetz gebrochen.
127 Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
Darum liebe ich deine Gebote mehr als Gold und gediegenes Gold;
128 Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
Darum halte ich alle deine Vorschriften für recht; jeden Lügenpfad hasse ich.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
Wunderbar sind deine Zeugnisse, darum bewahrt sie meine Seele.
130 The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
Die Eröffnung [And. übers.: Der Eingang] deines Wortes erleuchtet, gibt Einsicht den Einfältigen.
131 I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.
Ich habe meinen Mund weit aufgetan und gelechzt, denn ich habe verlangt nach deinen Geboten.
132 Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.
Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, wie du gegen die zu tun pflegst, die deinen Namen lieben!
133 Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Befestige meine Schritte in deinem Worte, [O. durch dein Wort] und laß kein Unrecht mich beherrschen! [And.: über mich herrschen]
134 Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.
Erlöse mich von der Bedrückung des Menschen, und ich will deine Vorschriften beobachten.
135 Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.
Laß dein Angesicht leuchten über deinen Knecht, und lehre mich deine Satzungen!
136 Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.
Wasserbäche fließen herab aus meinen Augen, weil sie dein Gesetz nicht halten.
137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
Gerecht bist du, Jehova, und gerade sind deine Gerichte. [O. Urteile, Rechte]
138 Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.
Du hast in Gerechtigkeit deine Zeugnisse geboten und in Treue gar sehr.
139 Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
Verzehrt hat mich mein Eifer, denn meine Bedränger haben deine Worte vergessen.
140 Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.
Wohlgeläutert ist dein Wort, und dein Knecht hat es lieb.
141 I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
Gering bin ich und verachtet; deine Vorschriften habe ich nicht vergessen.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
Deine Gerechtigkeit ist eine ewige Gerechtigkeit, und dein Gesetz ist Wahrheit.
143 Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)
Angst und Bedrängnis haben mich erreicht; deine Gebote sind meine Wonne.
144 Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
Gerechtigkeit sind deine Zeugnisse ewiglich; gib mir Einsicht, so werde ich leben.
145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.
Von ganzem Herzen habe ich gerufen; erhöre mich, Jehova! ich will deine Satzungen beobachten.
146 I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
Zu dir habe ich gerufen, rette mich! und ich will deine Zeugnisse bewahren.
147 I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
Der Morgendämmerung bin ich zuvorgekommen und habe geschrieen; auf dein Wort habe ich geharrt.
148 Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.
Meine Augen sind den Nachtwachen zuvorgekommen, um zu sinnen über dein Wort.
149 Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.
Höre meine Stimme nach deiner Güte; Jehova, belebe mich nach deinen Rechten!
150 They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.
Es haben sich genaht, die bösen Plänen [O. Schandbarem] nachjagen; fern sind sie von deinem Gesetz.
151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.
Du bist nahe, Jehova; und alle deine Gebote sind Wahrheit.
152 I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
Von alters her habe ich aus deinen Zeugnissen gewußt, daß du sie gegründet hast auf ewig.
153 Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.
Sieh an mein Elend und befreie mich! denn dein Gesetz habe ich nicht vergessen.
154 Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.
Führe meinen Rechtsstreit und erlöse mich! belebe mich nach deiner Zusage!
155 Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.
Fern von den Gesetzlosen ist Rettung, denn nach deinen Satzungen trachten sie nicht.
156 Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.
Deiner Erbarmungen sind viele, Jehova; belebe mich nach deinen Rechten!
157 Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.
Viele sind meiner Verfolger und meiner Bedränger; von deinen Zeugnissen bin ich nicht abgewichen.
158 I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.
Die Treulosen habe ich gesehen, und es ekelte mich an, weil sie dein Wort nicht bewahrten.
159 Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.
Sieh, daß ich deine Vorschriften lieb habe; nach deiner Güte, Jehova, belebe mich!
160 The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.
Die Summe deines Wortes ist Wahrheit, und alles Recht [O. jede Entscheidung, Verordnung] deiner Gerechtigkeit währt ewiglich.
161 Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.
Fürsten haben mich verfolgt ohne Ursache; aber vor deinem Worte hat mein Herz sich gefürchtet.
162 I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
Ich freue mich über dein Wort wie einer, der große Beute findet.
163 I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.
Lüge [O. Falschheit] hasse und verabscheue ich; ich liebe dein Gesetz.
164 Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.
Siebenmal des Tages lobe ich dich um der Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit willen.
165 Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.
Große Wohlfahrt [O. Großen Frieden] haben die, die dein Gesetz lieben, und kein Fallen gibt es für sie.
166 I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.
Ich habe auf deine Rettung gewartet, [O. gehofft] Jehova; und deine Gebote habe ich getan.
167 My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
Meine Seele hat deine Zeugnisse bewahrt, und ich liebe sie sehr.
168 I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.
Deine Vorschriften und deine Zeugnisse habe ich bewahrt, denn alle meine Wege sind vor dir.
169 Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.
Laß mein Schreien nahe vor dich kommen, Jehova; gib mir Einsicht nach deinem Worte!
170 Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.
Laß vor dich kommen mein Flehen; errette mich nach deiner Zusage!
171 Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.
Meine Lippen sollen dein Lob hervorströmen lassen, wenn du mich gelehrt hast [O. weil du mich lehrst] deine Satzungen.
172 Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.
Meine Zunge soll laut reden von deinem Worte, [Eig. dein Wort anheben, anstimmen] denn alle deine Gebote sind Gerechtigkeit.
173 Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.
Laß deine Hand mir zu Hülfe kommen! denn ich habe deine Vorschriften erwählt.
174 I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
Ich sehne mich nach deiner Rettung, Jehova; und dein Gesetz ist meine Wonne.
175 My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.
Laß meine Seele leben, und sie wird dich loben; [O. daß sie dich lobe] und deine Rechte mögen mir helfen!
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
Ich bin umhergeirrt wie ein verlorenes Schaf; suche deinen Knecht! denn ich habe deine Gebote nicht vergessen.
