Numbers 10
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:
2 Make to thyself two silver trumpets: thou shalt make them of beaten work; and they shall be to thee for the purpose of calling the assembly, and of removing the camps.
Fatti due trombe d'argento, di lavoro tirato al martello, e servitene per adunar la raunanza, e per far movere i campi.
3 And thou shalt sound with them, and all the congregation shall be gathered to the door of the tabernacle of witness.
E quando si sonerà con amendue, adunisi tutta la raunanza appresso di te, all'entrata del Tabernacolo della convenenza.
4 And if they shall sound with one, all the rulers even the princes of Israel shall come to thee.
E quando si sonerà con una [solamente], aduninsi appresso di te i principali, i capi delle migliaia d'Israele.
5 And ye shall sound an alarm, and the camps pitched eastward shall begin to move.
E quando voi sonerete con suono squillante, movansi i campi posti verso il levante.
6 And ye shall sound a second alarm, and the camps pitched southward shall move; and ye shall sound a third alarm, and the camps pitched westward shall move forward; and ye shall sound a fourth alarm, and they that encamp toward the north shall move forward: they shall sound an alarm at their departure.
E quando voi sonerete con suono squillante la seconda volta, movansi i campi posti verso il mezzodì. Suonisi con suono squillante ogni volta che [i campi] dovranno moversi.
7 And whenever ye shall gather the assembly, ye shall sound, but not an alarm.
Ma quando voi adunerete la raunanza, sonate, ma non con suono squillante.
8 And the priests the sons of Aaron shall sound with the trumpets; and it shall be a perpetual ordinance for you throughout your generations.
E suonino i figliuoli di Aaronne, sacerdoti, con quelle trombe; e usatele per istatuto perpetuo, per le vostre generazioni.
9 And if ye shall go forth to war in your land against your enemies that are opposed to you, then shall ye sound with the trumpets; and ye shall be had in remembrance before the Lord, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
E quando nel vostro paese voi entrerete in battaglia contro al nemico che vi assalirà, allora sonate con le trombe, con suono squillante, ed e' sovverrà di voi al Signore Iddio vostro; e sarete salvati da' vostri nemici.
10 And in the days of your gladness, and in your feasts, and in your new moons, ye shall sound with the trumpets at your whole-burnt-offerings, and at the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and there shall be a memorial for you before your God: I [am] the Lord your God.
Parimente a' giorni delle vostre allegrezze, e nelle vostre feste solenni, e nelle vostre calendi, sonate con le trombe, offerendo i vostri olocausti, e i vostri sacrificii da render grazie; ed esse vi saranno per ricordanza nel cospetto dell'Iddio vostro. Io [sono] il Signore Iddio vostro.
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud went up from the tabernacle of witness.
OR nell'anno secondo, nel secondo mese, nel ventesimo [giorno] del mese, avvenne che la nuvola si alzò d'in sul Tabernacolo della Testimonianza.
12 And the children of Israel set forward with their baggage in the wilderness of Sina; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Pharan.
E i figliuoli d'Israele si mossero, secondo [l'ordine del]le lor mosse, dal deserto di Sinai; e la nuvola stanziò nel deserto di Paran.
13 And the first rank departed by the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Così si mossero la prima volta, secondo che il Signore avea comandato per Mosè.
14 And they first set in motion the order of the camp of the children of Juda with their host; and over their host [was] Naasson, son of Aminadab.
E la bandiera del campo de' figliuoli di Giuda si mosse la primiera, [distinta] per le sue schiere; [essendo] Naasson figliuolo di Amminadab, capo dell'esercito de' figliuoli di Giuda;
15 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, [was] Nathanael son of Sogar.
e Natanael, figliuolo di Suar, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli d'Issacar;
16 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon, [was] Eliab the son of Chaelon.
ed Eliab, figliuolo di Helon, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Zabulon.
17 And they shall take down the tabernacle, and the sons of Gedson shall set forward, and the sons of Merari, who bear the tabernacle.
E, dopo che il Tabernacolo fu posto giù, i figliuoli di Gherson, e i figliuoli di Merari, si mossero, portando il Tabernacolo.
18 And the order of the camp of Ruben set forward with their host; and over their host [was] Elisur the son of Sediur.
Appresso si mosse la bandiera del campo di Ruben, [distinta] per le sue schiere; [essendo] Elisur, figliuolo di Sedeur, capo dell'esercito di Ruben;
19 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Symeon, [was] Salamiel son of Surisadai.
e Selumiel, figliuolo di Surisaddai, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Simeone;
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad, [was] Elisaph the son of Raguel.
ed Eliasaf, figliuolo di Deuel, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Gad.
21 And the sons of Caath shall set forward bearing the holy things, and [the others] shall set up the tabernacle until they arrive.
Poi si mossero i Chehatiti, che portavano il Santuario; e mentre essi arrivavano, gli [altri] rizzavano il Tabernacolo.
22 And the order of the camp of Ephraim shall set forward with their forces; and over their forces [was] Elisama the son of Semiud.
Appresso si mosse la bandiera del campo de' figliuoli di Efraim, [distinta] per le sue schiere; [essendo] Elisama, figliuolo di Ammiud, capo dell'esercito de' figliuoli di Efraim;
23 And over the forces of the tribes of the sons of Manasse, [was] Gamaliel the [son] of Phadassur.
e Gamliel, figliuolo di Pedasur, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Manasse;
24 And over the forces of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, [was] Abidan the [son] of Gadeoni.
e Abidan, figliuolo di Ghidoni, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Beniamino.
25 And the order of the camp of the sons of Dan shall set forward the last of all the camps, with their forces: and over their forces [was] Achiezer the [son] of Amisadai.
Appresso si mosse la bandiera del campo de' figliuoli di Dan, [distinta] per le sue schiere; facendo retroguardia a tutti i campi; [essendo] Ahiezer, figliuolo di Ammisaddai, capo dell'esercito di Dan;
26 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Aser, [was] Phageel the son of Echran.
e Paghiel, figliuolo di Ocran, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Aser;
27 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Nephthali, [was] Achire the son of Aenan.
e Ahira, figliuolo di Enan, capo dell'esercito della tribù de' figliuoli di Neftali.
28 These [are] the armies of the children of Israel; and they set forward with their forces.
Queste [erano] le mosse de' figliuoli di Israele, [distinti] per le loro schiere, quando si movevano.
29 And Moses said to Obab the son of Raguel the Madianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are going forward to the place concerning which the Lord said, This will I give to you: Come with us, and we will do thee good, for the Lord has spoken good concerning Israel.
Or Mosè disse a Hobab, figliuolo di Reuel, Madianita, suo suocero: Noi ci partiamo [per andare] al luogo del quale il Signore ha detto: Io vel darò; vieni con noi, e noi ti faremo del bene; conciossiachè il Signore abbia promesso del bene a Israele.
30 And he said to him, I will not go, but [I will go] to my land and to my kindred.
Ed egli gli disse: Io non vi andrò; anzi me ne andrò al mio paese, e al mio parentado.
31 And he said, Leave us not, because thou hast been with us in the wilderness, and thou shalt be an elder among us.
Ma [Mosè gli] disse: Deh! non lasciarci; perciocchè, conoscendo tu i luoghi dove noi abbiamo da accamparci nel deserto, tu ci servirai di occhi.
32 And it shall come to pass if thou wilt go with us, it shall even come to pass that in whatsoever things the Lord shall do us good, we will also do thee good.
E se tu vieni con noi, quando sarà avvenuto quel bene che il Signore ci vuol fare, noi ti faremo del bene.
33 And they departed from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them a three days' journey to provide rest for them.
Così si partirono dal Monte del Signore; [e fecero] il cammino di tre giornate, andando l'Arca del Patto del Signore davanti a loro tre giornate, per investigar loro un luogo di riposo.
34 And the cloud overshadowed them by day, when they departed from the camp.
E quando si movevano dal luogo ove erano stati accampati, la nuvola del Signore [era] sopra loro, di giorno.
35 And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Arise, O Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered: let all that hate thee flee.
E, quando l'Arca si moveva, Mosè diceva: Levati su, o Signore, e sieno dispersi i tuoi nemici; e quelli che ti odiano fuggiranno per la tua presenza.
36 And in the resting he said, Turn again, O Lord, the thousands [and] tens of thousands in Israel.
E, quando ella si posava, diceva: O Signore, riconduci le diecine delle migliaia delle schiere d'Israele.
