Leviticus 1

1 And the Lord called Moses again and spoke to him out of the tabernacle of witness, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them,

யெகோவா சபைக் கூடாரத்திலிருந்து மோசேயைக் கூப்பிட்டு, அவனுடன் பேசினார்.

2 If [any] man of you shall bring gifts to the Lord, ye shall bring your gifts of the cattle and of the oxen and of the sheep.

“நீ இஸ்ரயேலருடன் பேசிச் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: ‘உங்களில் யாராவது யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு காணிக்கையைக் கொண்டுவரும்போது, ஆட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்தோ, மாட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்தோ ஒரு மிருகத்தை உங்கள் காணிக்கையாகக் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்.

3 If his gift be a whole-burnt-offering, he shall bring an unblemished male of the herd to the door of the tabernacle of witness, he shall bring it as acceptable before the Lord.

“‘அக்காணிக்கை மாட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்து கொடுக்கப்படும் தகன காணிக்கையானால், அவன் குறைபாடற்ற ஒரு காளையை காணிக்கையாகக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும். அது யெகோவாவினால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும்படி, அவன் அதைச் சபைக்கூடார வாசலில் கொண்டுவந்து ஒப்படைக்கவேண்டும்.

4 And he shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt-offering as a thing acceptable for him, to make atonement for him.

அவன் அந்த தகன காணிக்கை மிருகத்தின் தலையின்மேல் தன் கையை வைக்கவேண்டும். அது அவனுடைய பாவங்களை நிவிர்த்தி செய்வதற்கு அவன் சார்பில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும்.

5 And they shall slay the calf before the Lord; and the sons of Aaron the priests shall bring the blood, and they shall pour the blood round about on the altar, which [is] at the doors of the tabernacle of witness.

யெகோவாவின் முன்னிலையில் அவன் அந்த இளங்காளையை வெட்டிக் கொல்லவேண்டும். ஆரோனின் மகன்களான ஆசாரியர்கள் அந்தக் காளையின் இரத்தத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்து, சபைக்கூடார வாசலில் இருக்கும் பலிபீடத்தின் எல்லா பக்கங்களிலும் தெளிக்கவேண்டும்.

6 And having flayed the whole burnt-offering, they shall divide it by its limbs.

பின்பு அந்தக் காணிக்கையைக் கொண்டுவந்தவன், தகன காணிக்கை மிருகத்தைத் தோலுரித்துத் துண்டுகளாக வெட்டவேண்டும்.

7 And the sons of Aaron the priests shall put fire on the altar, and shall pile wood on the fire.

ஆரோனின் மகன்களான ஆசாரியர்கள், பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் நெருப்பை மூட்டி, அந்த நெருப்பின்மேல் விறகுகளை அடுக்கவேண்டும்.

8 And the sons of Aaron the priests shall pile up the divided parts, and the head, and the fat on the wood on the fire, [the wood] which is on the altar.

அதன்பின் ஆரோனின் மகன்களான ஆசாரியர்கள் அந்தத் துண்டுகளை, தலையும் கொழுப்பும் உட்பட பலிபீடத்தில் எரிகின்ற விறகுகளின்மேல் அடுக்கவேண்டும்.

9 And the entrails and the feet they shall wash in water, and the priests shall put all on the altar: it is a burnt-offering, a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savour to the Lord.

ஆகிலும், உள்ளுறுப்புகளையும், கால்களையும் காணிக்கையைக் கொண்டுவந்தவன் தண்ணீரால் கழுவவேண்டும். ஆசாரியர், அவையெல்லாவற்றையும் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் எரித்துவிடவேண்டும். இது ஒரு தகன காணிக்கை. இது யெகோவாவுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியூட்டும் நறுமணமாக, நெருப்பினால் செலுத்தப்படும் ஒரு காணிக்கை.

10 And if his gift [be] of the sheep to the Lord, or of the lambs, or of the kids for whole-burnt-offerings, he shall bring it a male without blemish.

“‘அந்தக் காணிக்கை செம்மறியாட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்தோ, வெள்ளாட்டு மந்தையிலிருந்தோ எடுக்கப்படும் தகன காணிக்கையாக இருந்தால், அவன் குறைபாடற்ற ஒரு கடாவைச் செலுத்தவேண்டும்.

11 And he shall lay his hand on its head; and they shall kill it by the side of the altar, toward the north before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron the priests shall pour its blood on the altar round about.

அவன் அதைப் பலிபீடத்தின் வடக்குப் பக்கத்தில் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டிக் கொல்லவேண்டும். அதன் இரத்தத்தை ஆரோனின் மகன்களான ஆசாரியர்கள், பலிபீடத்தின் எல்லா பக்கங்களிலும் தெளிப்பார்கள்.

12 And they shall divide it by its limbs, and its head and its fat, and the priests shall pile them up on the wood which is on the fire, on the altar.

அவன் அதைத் துண்டுகளாக வெட்டவேண்டும். அந்தத் துண்டங்களை தலையும், கொழுப்பும் உட்பட பலிபீடத்தில் எரிகின்ற விறகுகளின்மேல் ஆசாரியர் அடுக்கவேண்டும்.

13 And they shall wash the entrails and the feet with water, and the priest shall bring all the [parts] and put them on the altar: it is a burnt-offering, a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savour to the Lord.

காணிக்கை கொண்டுவந்தவன் அதன் உள்ளுறுப்புகளையும், கால்களையும் தண்ணீரால் கழுவவேண்டும். ஆசாரியர் அவற்றையெல்லாம் கொண்டுவந்து, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் எரிக்கவேண்டும். இது ஒரு தகன காணிக்கை; இது யெகோவாவுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியூட்டும் நறுமணமாக, நெருப்பினால் செலுத்தப்படும் ஒரு காணிக்கை.

14 And if he bring his gift, a burnt-offering to the Lord, of birds, then shall he bring his gift of doves or pigeons.

“‘யெகோவாவுக்கான தகன காணிக்கை பறவைகளானால், அவன் ஒரு புறாவையோ அல்லது ஒரு மாடப்புறாக் குஞ்சையோ செலுத்தவேண்டும்.

15 And the priest shall bring it to the altar, and shall wring off its head; and the priest shall put it on the altar, and shall wring out the blood at the bottom of the altar.

ஆசாரியர் அப்பறவையைப் பலிபீடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, அதன் தலையைத் திருகி, அதைப் பலிபீடத்தில் எரிக்கவேண்டும். அதன் இரத்தம் பலிபீடத்தின் ஒரு பக்கத்தில் வடியவிடவேண்டும்.

16 And he shall take away the crop with the feathers, and shall cast it forth by the altar toward the east to the place of the ashes.

அவன் அதன் இரைப்பையையும் அதற்குள் இருப்பதையும் அகற்றி, பலிபீடத்தின் கிழக்குப் பக்கத்தில் சாம்பல் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் எறியவேண்டும்.

17 And he shall break it off from the wings and shall not separate it, and the priest shall put it on the altar on the wood which is on the fire: it is a burnt-offering, a sacrifice, a sweet-smelling savour to the Lord.

அதன்பின் ஆசாரியர் அதை முற்றிலும் பிளக்காமல், சிறகுகளைப் பிடித்துக் கிழித்து, அதைப் பலிபீடத்தின் நெருப்பின் மேலுள்ள விறகுகளின்மேல் போட்டு எரிக்கவேண்டும். இது ஒரு தகன காணிக்கை, இது யெகோவாவுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியூட்டும் நறுமணமாக, நெருப்பினால் செலுத்தப்படும் ஒரு காணிக்கை.
