Deuteronomy 4

1 Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow, so that you may live and may enter and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.

൧ഇപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേലേ, നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുവാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തരുന്ന ദേശം ചെന്ന് കൈവശമാക്കുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് നടക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും കേൾക്കുവിൻ.

2 You must not add to or subtract from what I command you, so that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I am giving you.

൨ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് കല്പിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകൾ നിങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണിക്കണം. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് കല്പിക്കുന്ന വചനത്തോട് കൂട്ടുകയോ അതിൽനിന്ന് കുറയ്ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുത്.

3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD did at Baal-peor, for the LORD your God destroyed from among you all who followed Baal of Peor.

൩ബാൽ-പെയോരിൽ യഹോവ ചെയ്തത് നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ണുകൊണ്ട് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ബാൽ-പെയോരിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നവരെ സംമ്പൂർണ്ണമായി ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

4 But you who held fast to the LORD your God are alive to this day, every one of you.

൪എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോട് പറ്റിച്ചേർന്നിരുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഇന്ന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു.

5 See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land that you are about to enter and possess.

൫നിങ്ങൾ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്ത്, നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് എന്റെ, ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഉപദേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the peoples, who will hear of all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

൬അവ പ്രമാണിച്ച് നടക്കുവിൻ; ഇത് തന്നെയല്ലോ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ജനതകളുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും ആയിരിക്കുന്നത്. അവർ ഈ കല്പനകൾ കേട്ടിട്ട്, ‘ഈ ശ്രേഷ്ഠജാതി ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും ഉള്ള ജനം തന്നെ’ എന്ന് പറയും.

7 For what nation is great enough to have a god as near to them as the LORD our God is to us whenever we call on Him?

൭നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും അവൻ നമ്മോട് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതുപോലെ ദൈവം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രേഷ്ഠജാതി ഏതുള്ളു?

8 And what nation is great enough to have righteous statutes and ordinances like this entire law I set before you today?

൮ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വയ്ക്കുന്ന സകല ന്യായപ്രമാണവും പോലെ ഇത്ര നീതിയുള്ള ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഉള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠജാതി ഏതുള്ളു?

9 Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves, so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen, and so that they do not slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and grandchildren.

൯കണ്ണുകൊണ്ട് കണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ നീ മറക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്ത് ഒരിക്കലും അവ നിന്റെ മനസ്സിൽനിന്ന് വിട്ടുപോകാതെയും ഇരിക്കുവാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ച് നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുക; നിന്റെ മക്കളോടും മക്കളുടെ മക്കളോടും അവ ഉപദേശിക്കണം.

10 The day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, the LORD said to me, “Gather the people before Me to hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach them to their children.”

൧൦വിശേഷാൽ ഹോരേബിൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിന്ന ദിവസം സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യം മറക്കരുത്. അന്ന് യഹോവ എന്നോട്: “ജനത്തെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടുക; ഞാൻ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ അവരെ കേൾപ്പിക്കും; അവർ ഭൂമിയിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കാലമെല്ലാം എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ പഠിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ മക്കളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും വേണം” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

11 You came near and stood at the base of the mountain, a mountain blazing with fire to the heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.

൧൧അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ അടുത്തുവന്ന് പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ താഴ്വരയിൽ നിന്നു; അന്ധകാരവും മേഘവും കൂരിരുളും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ ആകാശമദ്ധ്യത്തോളം തീ ആളിക്കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

12 And the LORD spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; there was only a voice.

൧൨യഹോവ തീയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് നിങ്ങളോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; നിങ്ങൾ വാക്കുകളുടെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടതല്ലാതെ രൂപം ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല.

13 He declared to you His covenant, which He commanded you to follow—the Ten Commandments that He wrote on two tablets of stone.

൧൩നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് നടക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവൻ നിങ്ങളോട് കല്പിച്ച തന്റെ നിയമമായ പത്ത് കല്പനകൾ അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കുകയും രണ്ട് കല്പലകകളിൽ എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്തു.

14 At that time the LORD commanded me to teach you the statutes and ordinances you are to follow in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

൧൪നിങ്ങൾ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്ത് അനുസരിച്ച് നടക്കേണ്ട ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കണമെന്ന് യഹോവ അക്കാലത്ത് എന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചു.

15 So since you saw no form of any kind on the day the LORD spoke to you out of the fire at Horeb, be careful

൧൫നിങ്ങൾ നന്നായി സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുവിൻ; യഹോവ ഹോരേബിൽ തീയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് നിങ്ങളോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത നാളിൽ നിങ്ങൾ രൂപം ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

16 that you do not act corruptly and make an idol for yourselves of any form or shape, whether in the likeness of a male or female,

൧൬അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ആണിന്റെയോ പെണ്ണിന്റെയോ സാദൃശ്യമോ,

17 of any beast that is on the earth or bird that flies in the air,

൧൭ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള യാതൊരു മൃഗത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യമോ, ആകാശത്ത് പറക്കുന്ന യാതൊരു പക്ഷിയുടെ സാദൃശ്യമോ,

18 or of any creature that crawls on the ground or fish that is in the waters below.

൧൮ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയുടെ സാദൃശ്യമോ, ഭൂമിക്ക് കീഴെ വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള യാതൊരു മത്സ്യത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യമോ, ഇങ്ങനെ യാതൊന്നിന്റെയും പ്രതിമയായ വിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കി വഷളത്തം പ്രവർത്തിക്കരുത്.

19 When you look to the heavens and see the sun and moon and stars—all the host of heaven—do not be enticed to bow down and worship what the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.

൧൯ആകാശസൈന്യമായ സൂര്യനെയും ചന്ദ്രനെയും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെയും കാണുമ്പോൾ അവയെ നമസ്കരിക്കുവാനും സേവിക്കുവാനും നീ വശീകരിക്കപ്പെടരുത്; അവയെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള സർവ്വജാതികൾക്കും പങ്കിട്ട് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

20 Yet the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be the people of His inheritance, as you are today.

൨൦നിങ്ങളെയോ തനിക്ക് അവകാശജനമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് ഈജിപ്റ്റ് എന്ന ഇരിമ്പുരുക്കുന്ന ഉലയിൽ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച് കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

21 The LORD, however, was angry with me on account of you, and He swore that I would not cross the Jordan to enter the good land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

൨൧എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം എന്നോട് കോപിച്ചു; ഞാൻ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടക്കുകയില്ലെന്നും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്ക് അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന നല്ല ദേശത്ത് ഞാൻ ചെല്ലുകയില്ലെന്നും സത്യംചെയ്തു.

22 For I will not be crossing the Jordan, because I must die in this land. But you shall cross over and take possession of that good land.

൨൨ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടക്കാതെ ഈ ദേശത്തുവെച്ച് മരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്ന് ആ നല്ലദേശം കൈവശമാക്കും.

23 Be careful that you do not forget the covenant of the LORD your God that He made with you; do not make an idol for yourselves in the form of anything He has forbidden you.

൨൩നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്ത അവന്റെ നിയമം നിങ്ങൾ മറന്ന് യഹോവ നിരോധിച്ച യാതൊന്നിന്റെയും സാദൃശ്യമായ വിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കാതിരിക്കുവാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുവിൻ.

24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

൨൪നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയല്ലോ; തീക്ഷ്ണതയുള്ള ദൈവം തന്നേ.

25 After you have children and grandchildren and you have been in the land a long time, if you then act corruptly and make an idol of any form—doing evil in the sight of the LORD your God and provoking Him to anger—

൨൫നിനക്ക് മക്കളും മക്കളുടെ മക്കളും ജനിച്ച് ദേശത്ത് ഏറെനാൾ വസിച്ച് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം വഷളായിത്തീർന്ന് വല്ലതിന്റെയും സാദൃശ്യമായ വിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്ത് അവിടുത്തെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചാൽ

26 I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live long upon it, but will be utterly destroyed.

൨൬നിങ്ങൾ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നുചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ വേഗത്തിൽ നശിച്ചുപോകുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിനിർത്തി പറയുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ ദീർഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കാതെ നിർമ്മൂലമായിപ്പോകും.

27 Then the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you.

൨൭യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചിതറിക്കും; യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി താമസിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ചുരുക്കംപേരായി ശേഷിക്കും.

28 And there you will serve man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.

൨൮കാണുവാനും കേൾക്കുവാനും ഭക്ഷിക്കുവാനും മണക്കുവാനും പ്രാപ്തിയില്ലാത്ത, മരവും കല്ലുംകൊണ്ടുള്ളതും മനുഷ്യരുടെ കൈപ്പണി ആയതുമായ ദേവന്മാരെ നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ സേവിക്കും.

29 But if from there you will seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

൨൯എങ്കിലും അവിടെവെച്ച് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണ മനസ്സോടുംകൂടി അന്വേഷിച്ചാൽ അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice.

൩൦നീ ക്ലേശത്തിലാകുകയും ഇവ എല്ലാം നിന്റെമേൽ വരുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ നീ ഭാവികാലത്ത് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞ് അവന്റെ വാക്ക് അനുസരിക്കും.

31 For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them by oath.

൩൧നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ കരുണയുള്ള ദൈവമല്ലയോ; അവൻ നിന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല, നശിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ല, നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോട് സത്യംചെയ്ത തന്റെ നിയമം മറക്കുകയും ഇല്ല.

32 Indeed, ask now from one end of the heavens to the other about the days that long preceded you, from the day that God created man on earth: Has anything as great as this ever happened or been reported?

൩൨ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെ ഭൂമിയിൽ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നാൾമുതൽ പൂർവ്വകാലത്ത് ആകാശത്തിന്റെ ഒരറ്റംമുതൽ മറ്റെ അറ്റംവരെ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള മഹാകാര്യം നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ, കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന് നീ അന്വേഷിക്കുക.

33 Has a people ever heard the voice of God speaking out of the fire, as you have, and lived?

൩൩ഏതെങ്കിലും ജനത നീ കേട്ടതുപോലെ തീയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുകയും ജീവനോടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

34 Or has any god tried to take as his own a nation out of another nation—by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and by great terrors—as the LORD your God did for you in Egypt, before your eyes?

൩൪അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽവെച്ച് നീ കാൺകെ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത പരീക്ഷകൾ, അടയാളങ്ങൾ, അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ, യുദ്ധം, ബലമുള്ള കൈ, നീട്ടിയ ഭുജം, ഭയങ്കരപ്രവൃത്തികൾ എന്നിവയാൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു ജനതയെ മറ്റൊരു ജനതയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് തനിക്കായി വേർതിരിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

35 You were shown these things so that you would know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides Him.

൩൫നിനക്കോ ഇതു കാണുവാൻ സംഗതിവന്നു; യഹോവ തന്നെ ദൈവം, അവനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല എന്ന് നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന് തന്നെ.

36 He let you hear His voice from heaven to discipline you, and on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the fire.

൩൬അവൻ നിനക്ക് ബുദ്ധി ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ആകാശത്തുനിന്ന് തന്റെ ശബ്ദം നിന്നെ കേൾപ്പിച്ചു; ഭൂമിയിൽ തന്റെ മഹത്തായ അഗ്നി നിന്നെ കാണിച്ചു; നീ അവന്റെ വചനവും അഗ്നിയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് കേട്ടു.

37 Because He loved your fathers, He chose their descendants after them and brought you out of Egypt by His presence and great power,

൩൭നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ അവരുടെ സന്തതിയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

38 to drive out before you nations greater and mightier than you, and to bring you into their land and give it to you for your inheritance, as it is this day.

൩൮നിന്നെക്കാൾ വലിപ്പവും ബലവുമുള്ള ജനതകളെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കളയുവാനും ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ അവരുടെ ദേശം നിനക്ക് അവകാശമായി തരേണ്ടതിന് നിന്നെ അവിടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനും തന്റെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യവും മഹാശക്തിയും കൊണ്ട് ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് നിന്നെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.

39 Know therefore this day and take to heart that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.

൩൯ആകയാൽ മീതെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും യഹോവ തന്നെ ദൈവം, മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല എന്ന് നീ ഇന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞ് മനസ്സിൽ വച്ചുകൊള്ളുക.

40 Keep His statutes and commandments, which I am giving you today, so that you and your children after you may prosper, and that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for all time.

൪൦നിനക്കും നിന്റെ മക്കൾക്കും നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്ക് സദാകാലത്തേക്കും നല്കുന്ന ദേശത്ത് നീ ദീർഘായുസ്സോടു കൂടി ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിനും ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് നിന്നോട് കല്പിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിക്കുക.

41 Then Moses set aside three cities across the Jordan to the east

൪൧അക്കാലത്ത് മോശെ യോർദ്ദാന് അക്കരെ കിഴക്കുഭാഗത്തായി മൂന്ന് പട്ടണങ്ങൾ വേർതിരിച്ചു.

42 to which a manslayer could flee after killing his neighbor unintentionally without prior malice. To save one’s own life, he could flee to one of these cities:

൪൨പൂർവ്വ വിദ്വേഷം കൂടാതെ അബദ്ധവശാൽ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ കൊന്നവൻ ആ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ ഓടിക്കയറി അവിടെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് തന്നെ.

43 Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau belonging to the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead belonging to the Gadites, or Golan in Bashan belonging to the Manassites.

൪൩അങ്ങനെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ മലനാട്ടിലുള്ള ബേസെർ രൂബേന്യർക്കും, ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്ത് ഗാദ്യർക്കും, ബാശാനിലെ ഗോലാൻ മനശ്ശെയർക്കും നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.

44 This is the law that Moses set before the Israelites.

൪൪മോശെ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വച്ച ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇത് തന്നെ.

45 These are the testimonies, statutes, and ordinances that Moses proclaimed to them after they had come out of Egypt,

൪൫യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം മോശെ യോർദ്ദാന് അക്കരെ ഹെശ്ബോനിൽ വസിച്ചിരുന്ന അമോര്യ രാജാവായ സീഹോന്റെ ദേശത്ത്, ബേത്ത്--പെയോരിന് എതിരെയുള്ള താഴ്വരയിൽവച്ച്, അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞ സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഇവ ആകുന്നു.

46 while they were in the valley across the Jordan facing Beth-peor in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon and was defeated by Moses and the Israelites after they had come out of Egypt.

൪൬മോശെയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളും ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം ആ രാജാവിനെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

47 They took possession of the land belonging to Sihon and to Og king of Bashan—the two Amorite kings across the Jordan to the east—

49 including all the Arabah on the east side of the Jordan and as far as the Sea of the Arabah, below the slopes of Pisgah.
